The Clan Market Opens
Plenty of other posts kept rolling in, of course, but overall the mood was… hard to pin down.
For something people had waited half a year to see, it still felt a little thin. But once you cooled off and looked again, it was closer to the feeling of sitting down to a surprisingly packed update.
And what the users kept coming back to, more than anything else, was—

What the hell, there are already dozens of clans showing up.
—the opening of the system-linked official clan system.
Once proper clans started forming under the system itself, instead of the loose arrangements from before, the gallery's atmosphere flipped overnight into something that looked uncannily like a job fair.

I'm way too lonely out here by myself
I want to grow while learning from other people for once
I still managed to beat some pirates, and somehow won PVP twice, so yeah
Some users tried to sell their own appeal and get into a clan.

Only requirement: at least one cruiser, whether from gacha or anywhere else.
Everything else is whatever. Come on over.
On the flip side, clans of every size were posting ads to pad out their rosters. Compared to before the update, the gallery was unmistakably alive.
And the recruitment drive didn't stop at gallery ads.

Some clan I've never seen just DMed me out of nowhere talking about recruiting me.
Is it safe to accept?
They're not gonna take the invite and then strip my fleet, resources, and supers bare, right?
A surprising number of users were getting recruitment mails from clans near their bases. In every direction, an unseasonal community boom was kicking off.
And I was no exception.
"Looks like there are more user coalitions nearby than I expected."
"Is that so?"
I'd gotten three or four offers asking if I wanted to join a clan.
"And yet, Commander, you don't seem particularly interested in clans."
"Well… not yet, at least."
A full week later, I had turned every single one of those invitations down.
"Still, I never expected someone who hasn't even made a clan yet to message the Commander and ask if you'd like to join."
"Ah, that one from the other day?"
Among them had been people who hadn't founded a clan yet, but planned to soon—users who'd been impressed by my gallery activity and messaged me to push for a join. I declined those as politely as I could, too.
Naturally, Jessica and the rest of the crew all tilted their heads at my attitude. But I had my reasons for playing it this way.
The surface reason was simple: if I joined a clan before I was strong enough on my own, I'd just get yanked around by every split opinion among the users.
The other reason was…
Beep!
"Oh? Commander? A new update just dropped."
"Ah… so the time's already here."
With Jessica's report, the notice that would be lighting up every other user's screen right about now filled my vision with its contents.
Effective immediately, the pirate raid structure targeting Commanders has been reorganized.
1. The composition of pirates attacking Commanders' bases has been further strengthened.
2. The Pirate King appears with his main force.
3. Pirate King Invasion Structure
• Prioritizes invasion of the clan closest to the main force
• If the Pirate King wins a clan invasion, a portion of users' ships is forcibly seized
• Exception: Ships obtained through the Multi-dimensional Fixed Causality Generator are excluded
