How to Live Day by Day (2)
At first, since I was the one asking for a favor, I tried to write as politely as possible — even going so far as to use formal speech.
But after watching someone get immediately cussed out for using formal language, it seemed that matched the community style I remembered. So I decided to post my question as politely as I could manage while stripping out every last honorific.
Newbie fanboys, lend me your aid.
Of course, I didn't expect an instant response. After posting the question, I minimized the community window and decided to put Pashtura and Belial to work — or rather, crack open the equipment boxes that had dropped from the ten-pull and equip them with whatever was inside.
Ah, but before getting into that:
"Jessica, in thirty minutes, remind me to check the community."
"Yes, Commander."
Only after turning my adjutant Jessica into a personal alarm clock did I start on the actual work.
But no matter how generously you looked at it, the best we got was a "Unique Equipment Box."
"Hmm."
"These are rather intricate little things, Commander."
"Sorry. For now, this is the best I've got."
"Since it's a gift from you, Commander, the thought matters more than the performance… ufufu♡"
"Indeed. There is no need for you to trouble yourself over it, Commander."
Compared to what I remembered from three years ago, the gear was so pitifully modest that I felt a twinge of guilt for no good reason.
Anyway, while I was fitting them out with equipment and accessories, I was also pouring every ounce of effort into expanding the base defense fleet from a six-ship formation into a seven-ship one.
"Commander. Commander."
"Hm?"
"The thirty minutes you mentioned just passed."
"Ah. Has it already been that long?"
Thinking time had flown by faster than expected, I ordered Jessica to finish setting up the two of them, then headed straight to my personal seat in the command center. Humming to myself, I opened the community window — figuring that with over thirty minutes gone, there had to be at least a few comments waiting.
But…
Wh-what the hell is this?
The fact that over thirty minutes had produced exactly one comment left me momentarily stunned. But then—
Hmm… maybe that one comment is so packed with value that nobody else bothered to reply.
That kind of thing did happen surprisingly often, so I opened the post with a hopeful heart and checked the comment…
Ah, for fuck's sake.
Not even close. As you can tell from the pathetic excuses I was already making to myself, the only thing waiting for me was pure garbage.
What exactly was I expecting?
Common sense said that a post with a single comment after more than thirty minutes had simply been buried.
Faced with that cold reality, I fell silent for a moment, lost in bitter contemplation. And then, a short while later—
…You people started this.
Fueling myself with rage aimed at no one in particular, I carefully began drafting a brand-new post for the community. This time, however, politeness had been flung into a black hole somewhere far, far away.
[Pashtura Full Body] [Belial Full Body]
One's a glass cannon with good magic who's only good as a sex doll.
The other's mid-range so she's stupidly awkward, and both of them are way too mediocre to raise at this stage of the game, right?
How the hell are you supposed to build these? Are they just garbage?
Hmm. Perfect.
It was, by any standard, a magnificent piece of bait. And it seemed my assessment wasn't wrong — because less than a minute after posting—
Ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding—
Through the comment notification feature I'd enabled in the status menu, I watched replies flood in in real time. Feeling thoroughly satisfied, I opened them up to take a look.
Unfortunately, either I had no talent for writing or something else was off, because—
Contrary to my expectations, roughly half the comments were just people dunking on a clueless newbie.
Ah, this is actually rough.
Getting cursed out cold by a bunch of faceless strangers tends to put serious pressure on a person. So I did my best to filter those comments out of my field of vision and focus only on the ones with actual substance.
Apparently someone took one look at me and decided I was a genuine newbie-dunking target — because they actually started writing a real explanation. From my perspective, getting a detailed guide was a win either way, so I quietly clicked the link they'd opened and went to check it out.

Melee characters can cheese growth through mineral mining grinds, but for a long-range nuke character like Pashtura, that method is garbage efficiency.
What I recommend: pull out a ship with trash durability, and instead of dismantling it, have Pashtura attack and sink it.
Pashtura gets bonus EXP when attacking ships, so rather than eating up a shipyard line just to scrap it, you might as well blow it up and use it as an EXP copy-paste machine.
Ohh.
Watching the post and the additional advice pouring in through the comments, I found myself nodding. The response was on a completely different level from the polite post I'd written just thirty minutes earlier.
And of course, Pashtura wasn't the only one I'd asked about.

Look at Belial's absolute territory first lol
