Don't Get in My Way
Only five people, including Im Sua, had met Danto Igo-hyang. But that wasn't the full extent of the personnel who'd infiltrated the Namdong Industrial Complex.
The land acquisition process was practically wrapped up. The remaining stock was limited to overseas holdings and the Namdong Industrial Complex itself, so nearly everyone—barring a tiny overseas dispatch team—had been thrown into Namdong.
Safety wasn't a concern. They'd formed teams for minimal security and maximum efficiency. Each team included at least one powerhouse secretary or mercenary, or failing that, someone suited up with gear from Militaris. Plus, everyone was equipped for identification and comms even in this near-sealed zone. Preparation was ironclad.
Sua moved with Danto. She wasn't showing overwhelming prowess compared to the other secretaries yet, but as chief secretary representing the secretary's office, she'd headed to what was deemed the toughest spot.
"The guy's the boss of Armored Faction, a small-time gang. Total headcount: 21. Doesn't seem hung up on the land deeds, though…."
Danto's face twisted viciously. Only Sua, with her latest corneal implants, could see it.
"Says he won't sell unless you become his woman."
"So, offer up your pussy?"
"…."
Her face flushed a bit more behind the mask.
"…Yeah."
"Just to be thorough, are all the holdouts like that?"
"Pretty much."
"Then Danto could've spread her legs and secured more land. Why didn't you?"
"…."
A loaded question. Sua expected anger, but surprisingly, Danto didn't snap. Living in the complex, she probably saw it as a fair ask.
"They might lack rights as citizens, but they've got pride as humans."
"Oh? Really now?"
Doesn't feel like one of them at all, Sua thought. It only firmed her resolve. This bitch has to be offered up to Master for sure. The haughty ones taste the best. Especially a virgin flower blooming in the middle of the sewer.
"Touching. I really want it now."
"…."
Embarrassed, Danto hurried ahead pointlessly.
"Over there."
The spot Danto led them to—Armored Faction's hideout—was in a surprisingly quiet area. It felt spacious and desolate, like the place she'd barged into with Gomuyeol before. A far cry from the bustling central complex. But without cars this time, the vibe was starkly different. And already, the stares from nearby goons were shifting—probably because it was just women, stirring up their lust.
"Well, if it isn't our cute little kitty Danto and… who are these hot mamas—"
Before the sleazy guy approaching could finish, a gun barrel jammed under his chin.
"?!"
Even Igo-hyang was shocked. She hadn't expected Sua to draw first thing. Let alone—
Bang!
—to blow his head off without a word!
"Wh-what the!"
Hot-blooded, sure, but this pulled all the aggro!
"They're all inside anyway, right?"
"Y-yeah, but!"
Sua swept her gaze over the spacious warehouse yard. Several vehicles parked there.
"We'll ride from now on. Secure the deeds first, then move."
The four secretaries with Sua vanished in unison. Like teleporting. They'd been glued to Danto's side, then—poof—gone, as if the film frame cut and resumed after edits.
"What the—!"
Of course, she knew about implants. But ones that erased your presence entirely? High officials or megacorp security only. Igo-hyang pegged them as the former. Finally, the state's real power was flexing in this city.
"Th-those bitches!!!"
"Kill 'em!!"
As the underlings rushed inside to protect the deeds, Sua activated her acceleration implant.
—Kiiing.
That was her limit. But even so, the enemies moved like turtles.
"Piiiick iiiit uuuup yoooou fuuuuck—"
"Pathetic. So damn slow."
Alone at normal speed in slowed time, she mapped every foe. Then danced through, firing at each.
Brrrrrrrt—!!!
Bullets still streaked fast. Fired like laundry lines, they burst heads. She spun like a dancer, dual-wielding, reloading mid-spin with one hand like a pro.
Her two seconds. Real time: under one. The gathering goons became head-shotted corpses. Bonus: machine-gun roar from abnormal speed.
Lucky it was Namdong Industrial Complex. Gunfire barely drew aggro here.
"Ah, got tense for nothing. Piece of cake, Namdong."
Sua twirled her wrist, holstering guns still hot. Pro moves all the way.
"H-how…?!"
Danto just gaped. Outsiders entering this hellhole had to pack heat, sure. But this? That acceleration dance? Beyond human.
Bang! Bang!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Kwaaak!"
"Wh-what the hell?!"
"Where's it coming from?!"
"Enemy attack!!"
"Ene—kwaaak!"
Gunfire erupted inside. Flashes leaked through windows with thunderous cracks. Soon, lights flickered deeper or upstairs. Still sharp thunder.
More time passed. After Sua mopped up the regroupers, the secretaries emerged. One held tattered deeds—transfer contracts thumbprinted in red blood.
"We're back."
"Good work."
Sua scanned the deeds and prints.
"On to the next."
Sua's deed-retrieval (slaughter?) op ran till next morning. Just 5% left, but few like Danto hoarded masses—mostly pocketfuls. 36 contacts, plus their guards and crews: over a thousand bodies easy.
Good thing: 60 total deployed. Split teams, Sua-style solutions—done quicker than expected.
By now, Danto faced a dilemma. Sua had said buy the land with cash at first meet. But bam—guns blazing on contact. No failed talks, no breakdowns. Straight wipeout. Like they didn't deserve words.
Would they snatch her land the same way?
"All done. Exactly the shortfall. Now just Danto's deeds and the overseas 7%, and we're golden."
So, let's deal? Sua's sly smile now terrified. A pretty girl grinning while gunning down faces—she fit Namdong. Smiling psycho embedding bullets with a smile.
"Ah, shall we handle our deal outside? More comfy. No point lingering here."
Ignoring silence, Sua pressed.
"If you insist here, fine by me. But you asked to be escorted out, Danto."
What to do? Sneak away now? Those godlike implants said no. Caught fleeing? The aftermath….
…Let's go. Too late for cold feet.
She committed. Original deal: Escorted out for 500,000 pyeong at 5,000 won per.
"…To my place first. Deeds are there."
"Okey-dokey~."
Shockingly smooth. If I'd known brute force worked, I'd have tried sooner.
Not that brute was easy. Distraction bombs for safe exit—plenty of caveats.
Still, Out… I'm out….
Igo-hyang stepped on non-complex soil for the first time.
Finally… me too…! Freedom!!
"Hey."
"?"
"Get in the car. Nicely."
