The Last Leaf (4)
Three women were staring at me. I spoke, keeping my expression dead serious. Look at my face. I'm fucking serious right now.
"With zombies rampant and humanity on the brink of extinction, I've decided I can no longer remain merely human. Protecting humanity as a god and rebuilding human civilization—that is my mission, my duty."
I picked up an empty cola can and slowly walked over to toss it in the trash.
"In the process of returning as a god to aid and nurture humanity, I've heard this question: Why didn't God do anything until things got this bad? If you met a god—if you believed I was one—you'd probably wonder the same. But I'm not the Creator. I have the power to protect humans and restore civilization, but I'm not the kind of god who can predict or prevent the sudden end of the world. If you know Greek-Roman myths, Egyptian myths, or Norse myths, you might grasp what I mean by 'god'."
I raised my hand again.
"What I'm saying is, I'm not the Creator."
Color had returned to the patient's face. She'd just come back from the brink of paradise, so her cheeks were flushed. But she looked utterly exhausted and gaunt. ...Her digestive system's probably shot too, huh? I think I brought something good earlier. Oh, right. Rice drink. That should be fine. I pulled out a bottle, peeled off the plastic wrap on the cap, and headed to the bed.
"I have people under my care. About fifty of them, I think. They've been surviving in hellish conditions even before my touch reached them."
I perched on the edge of the bed. Plop. I twisted off the cap and offered it to her with a soft smile, tilting it slightly to suggest she drink.
The patient had half-torn open a cake snack wrapper and was clutching it with both hands. Chocolate's gonna melt, you idiot. So I took the cake snack instead and handed her the rice drink bottle. This one's mine. I smoothly tore open the wrapper.
"There were women treated like toys by men. When I rescued them, more than half were pregnant. They don't want to give birth. The problem is, I'm a god who returned to rebuild human civilization—not one who came to abort babies from pregnant women. It's awkward. Humanity's on the verge of extinction, yet aborting children... But I understand their feelings, so all I could promise was to do my best to find you a suitable doctor. And here we are."
"...You came looking for a doctor?"
The doctor was staring at me intently.
"Yeah. Humans need a lot: food, water, caretakers. I can provide most of that. But that doesn't make human doctors any less necessary. Don't you think?"
I took a bite of the cake snack, letting it melt slowly as I chewed, gazing at the doctor and nurse. They were all waiting for me to speak, not piping up themselves. Fair enough. Some guy shows up claiming to be a god, brings a lion, crumbles to sand, euthanizes a girl then fucks her back to life, and suddenly snacks and drinks appear out of nowhere. Hard not to believe "I'm a god" in this situation.
"I get the skepticism. It's totally reasonable. 'I'm a god' sounds like some cult leader's bullshit. But regardless, everything I've said is true. I have people under my care—survivors scraping by in this zombie apocalypse. I plan to rebuild human civilization, and they'll be the foundation. Every one of them is precious to me."
I held up the cake snack casually, toward the doctor and nurse.
"You too."
Silence. No words.
So I just said it.
"You're strangers to me, sure. Some random guy pops up claiming he's a god, does weird shit to the girl—yeah, I get how it looks. By the way, that wasn't a dream. You got the euthanasia shot. I cured all the euthanasia drugs and cancer cells in your body. That... embrace was absolutely necessary in the process. It really was essential."
It was important to me, anyway. Her tits felt so damn good, I got rock hard. Thought my dick would explode. A little white lie smooths social interactions, right? Whether this counts as a little one...
The patient was blinking at me, mouth agape in a daze—I couldn't read her thoughts. Anyway. Ahem. I cleared my throat.
"So, yeah—I'm a god. Known as Imhotep, but that's just one of many names. Call me whatever's comfortable. What's yours?"
"I'm Jeongwon..."
"Wait, we need some explanations first."
Patient's name was Jeongwon, huh? Suits her. Her voice was thin and cute. Bald head like a middle-school boy, but somehow pretty... Ah. That's why I got hard. Total bald beauty vibe, slender and delicate. Tastes don't change easily, they say. Couldn't help it—you were too fuckable.
I flashed Jeongwon a smile and turned to the doctor.
"Alright, Jeongwon. What kind of explanation do you want?"
"How... how are you going to rebuild civilization? It's all over. Everything's done."
"My people wouldn't think that. Especially my wives at the shrine."
"...Wives?"
The doctor's eyes filled with suspicion.
"Mm. God's wives. Priestesses. My women. Jeongwon, I want to bring you to my shrine too."
"Ah...?"
Jeongwon was overwhelmed, confused by it all. Her lower half's probably super sensitive now too. Bet a light touch would make her cum again...Don't think about it. You'll get hard again. You've got the bull and lion tattoos. Don't forget.
"My shrine has a fountain—like a small pond this size. Always warm water, crystal clear, safe to drink anytime. Fresh eggs, rice fields. Peppers harvest tomorrow, probably. We've got plenty of soybean paste and gochujang stocked, so imagine hot steamed rice with a can of tuna, fresh green peppers dipped in paste—crunchy and satisfying, right?"
"No way."
The nurse this time.
"...Where are you farming? It's ridiculous—zombies everywhere. Look outside. Weirdly, our hospital parking lot and fence are just sand, no zombies, but out there? Zombies galore. You think fields have no zombies? They do. I even saw a huge monster."
"I cleared them all."
The nurse was speechless. I smiled.
"Gache-dong's zombie-free now. Spotless. Sure, monsters might pop up occasionally."
Left that rotten egg luwak, after all. Hoping for a maggot swarm.
"Even if they do, I'll wipe them out. No problem. And farming isn't what you think. Plant, harvest in ten minutes. No need for big fields."
"...Ten minutes?!"
All three women gasped in unison. I shrugged.
"Sounds like a lie, but it's true. Better to show than tell. This is faith territory, right? See it happen, and it's done. I know it sounds scammy, but you'll get it once you see rice or peppers ready in ten."
I stood up.
"Unfortunately, I can't take you now. I portal between Gache-dong and here, but normal humans can't. I'd have to escort you—long way. From now on, I'll clean the streets every morning."
"...Clean?"
"The zombies outside. I'll kill three thousand a day."
I grinned. The women stared. Not trust or dependence—just faces seeing some insanely bizarre situation they couldn't process.
"I'm heading back now. Left food and drinks. I'll return tomorrow. Talk it over—whether to follow me or not."
Then, the potato chips on the floor. So damn good. I smiled at Jeongwon and offered them.
"These are tasty."
Wasteful, but she deserves it. I fucked her, after all.
"I'm off."
I left the room.
Back at the shrine via the portal stone on the hospital stairs. So damn convenient.
Stretching by the stone sarcophagus, I heard chattering. I left the bedroom and looked around. In the living room, four women were playing a board game.
"Ah, when did you get back?!"
Yeonsu jumped up and approached.
"God!"
Hyeyoon, Iseo, Jeong-eun—the three rushed to me. Ah... what a sight. Truly.
"Portaled in. Found a doctor."
"Really?!"
"For real?!"
"Yeah. Not sure if she'll come yet."
A slithering sound, coiling. Sechem Yaret approached, dripping water from her bath in the fountain.
"God. You've returned. How did it go?"
"Mm. Found the doctor. Can't bring her yet—she's in Gangnam. Gotta clear the path. Might take days."
"I'll inform the pregnant women at once."
"Do that."
The water on Sechem's body vanished instantly, absorbed like clay soaking it up. She grabbed her clothes from the rack, dressed, and headed out.
I turned to my women.
"...Might be more women joining the shrine soon."
"Sechem's told us several times already."
Hyeyoon pouted. I smiled and caressed her ass—soft, plump flesh, perfect.
"You're all precious to me. Gonna wash up. What board game?"
"Ah, it's for four players."
"Yeah? Still got unopened ones?"
"Most are untouched. Sechem said you'd enjoy opening them yourself."
"Oh, did she? Haha."
That Sechem.
"Keep playing. I'll wash—been out far, feel grimy. Dick's got good vibes and blood on it. Mm... Jeongwon. Great girl. Gotta bring her to the shrine.
