Momona's Potion Shop (F)
"Ahh, my back's killing me."
Sitting in front of the computer for hours watching the broadcast was fun, but exhausting. No bugs or major issues popped up, so I felt pretty satisfied.
"She's hitting the true ending route, huh?"
I hadn't expected her to uncover one of the hidden endings—not the bad one or the happy one I'd prepared as defaults. It was honestly surprising.
"I thought she'd follow Aya and Mimu, but she ends up staying at the shop? Did she figure it out?"
I'd sprinkled in some subtle hints, but Momona had sharp eyes, so yeah, she probably noticed.
"Still, I wonder if this is okay."
Even now, after sending it off, I was second-guessing whether I should've injected my personal thoughts into the content for her fans. Had I overstepped by arbitrarily adding RP to the Another World VTuber team?
"Eh... it's just content. She probably won't overthink it."
As if they'd actually incorporate the story I wrote. It'd just be a one-off consumable experience.
"Might as well watch till the end, then. Curious about her reaction to the ending."
I smiled watching Momona belt out the song's highlight with full energy. She was really good at singing, too.
"We're here! We're here! Our story won't fade away."
"Spreading to the ends of the night sky."
"We're here! We're here! Four of us breathing life right here in Another."
"Even when the day comes to return, remember—this moment. We're here!"
"Pfft! Momona's Husband, 100,000 fruits donation~ Snug in Momona's pouch~! Thank you so much. Muah! Accept my love!"
She wiped the sweat from her forehead as she gazed at the cauldron while the song wrapped up. It ended on a perfect note—slightly bittersweet, but just right.
Grabbing the shimmering potion, she looked at Aya and Mimu. Time to say goodbye. It felt strangely bittersweet. We'd only just met a few hours ago... but knowing we wouldn't meet again after this made me a little down.
"Huh? Momona, what's wrong?"
"Your face looks bad. Something wrong?"
"N-No, it's nothing... just..."
Had her expression been that obvious? She shook her head at their worried faces and handed over the potion.
"It's nothing. Save the World Tree and come play again. Got it?"
"Of course! Who else would play with Momona?"
"We'll visit often. Next time with gifts!"
"I have other friends too!... Pfft, yeah. I'll be waiting."
She flashed a bright smile and hugged them both. This being the last time stung.
She let them go. It was time to send them off, and for me to check the ending.
"See you next time."
"Yeah! Wait for us? We'll save the World Tree and come back!"
"Be right back. Wait up."
Relief mixed with regret as I watched their retreating backs. The timer had hit zero anyway—no holding on longer.
"What ending will it be? You guys guess?"
"Right? Definitely a good one."
She chatted with viewers to pass the time until the timer zeroed out and the perspective shifted again.
"Alright! Ending time!"
Observer view: Elves heading to heal the World Tree. Aya and Mimu, now settled in, looked surprisingly mature.
"Yeah. And now they're saving it with my potion?"
Unbelievable. Reviving a massive sacred tree I'd never see in real life with a potion made from song—it felt magical.
"Spray it!"
The wood-borer remover potion hit first. Crackle—the parasites clinging to it dropped off, wriggling on the ground.
"Phew, that should be enough, right?"
Thankfully, no shortage. I swallowed hard watching all the wood-borers fall off. But the real key was how well the final potion healed the tree.
The iridescent potion's lid popped open, spraying onto the World Tree. The rainbow liquid seeped in visibly.
Boom! An explosion echoed, black smoke rising from the distant forest.
"Huh? What? What was that?!"
"What? Demons? This isn't the happy ending?! Not a bright one?!"
Then the World Tree, absorbing the potion, began to glow. A radiant barrier hummed to life around it. Layers of rainbow light unfurled like a palace or aurora, shielding everything.
"Whoa, so pretty."
"Huh?"
Near the tree, something odd—Aya and Mimu banging on the barrier, yelling.
"Ah, got it. Yeah, that's the story."
Demon attacks poured down on the barrier, but severed from the outside, nothing penetrated—bouncing off or vanishing harmlessly. The empowered World Tree blocking assaults on the elves was spectacular. Fire, lightning, dark miasma—all repelled, protecting everyone.
"Heh. Yeah, I saved it."
She boasted to the chat as the perspective shifted back to... the potion shop.
"Okay, now it's escape time, I guess."
Giggling at the viewers' baffled reactions, she grabbed the stashed potions. Footsteps outside—she bolted out the back door.
"The sacrifice is escaping! Catch her!"
"See?! Escape confirmed!"
Bang! Demons smashed through the front door. She stuck out her tongue and fled out back. No clue where to, but instinct said she knew.
"Haa! Haa! Stop chasing me!"
"Don't let her escape! We need more sacrifices for His Majesty's arrival!"
Out of breath, but she ran. Yeah... here. Here it was.
"Momona! Inside!"
"Yeah! Thanks!"
At the cave entrance, her three broadcast-starting friends waited. Relieved at the Another World members, she dashed in.
"F-First, we'll escape here. No idea what happens next."
"Momona, got everything you needed?"
"Finding this place? Impressive for an elf."
"Ha! Hilarious!"
They stepped onto the magic circle, gripping hands tight at the demons' shouts behind them.
"We'll definitely come back."
"Obviously. Get help and crush them all!"
"H-Hurry! It's dangerous otherwise? Voices getting louder behind!"
"Don't rush me. I'm concentrating. Turning dragon and can't even help?"
She giggled at their bickering—NPCs, so just like the usual members.
"Ready! Activate?!"
"Yeah! Go!"
"O-Oh! Hurryyy!"
The circle flashed, enveloping them.
To safety, sure. But not the kind viewers expected.
Boom! Demon magic hit nearby, warping the circle.
"Wait?! This means...!"
"Wh-What?! What's happening?!"
"Hiiiyaaah! Something's wronggg!"
"Everyone... hold hands tight!!"
Demons closed in as space twisted, teleporting them.
...!
This felt familiar. Skyscrapers instead of trees—a forest of buildings. They'd dropped into the modern world.
"Ugh. Magic glitched... where's this?"
"Eek, weird things moving around!"
"What? Never seen this place. Everything's new!"
She took it in. So this was how they'd ended up in the modern era? Giggling—she'd never thought it through that precisely, which made it fun.
"Exactly. That's how we crossed over."
Blink—and ending credits rolled. Adapting to modern life, starting broadcasts; Aya and Mimu tidying the abandoned shop under the World Tree's watch. It hit me emotionally. Overly immersed in short-lived game NPCs? The finality stung.
"Ahh. Wish I could go back fine and tell them."
"Nah... I'll end it here. Redoing might change things. This feels perfect."
Regretful, but cherishing this ticklish ache seemed right. It'd stick in memory longer.
"Oh! Not sure if you're watching, but MPG, thank you! Had a blast! Looking forward to your next content!"
Can't forget to thank the creator. I truly enjoyed it!
"Mokong-i had fun too, right? You did!"
