Shopping After a Long Time (1)
“Eek! What are you doing?! Let go!”
“Hmm, it really doesn't look like surgery. Your height's shrunk too.”
Chills ran down my spine at the hands fiddling with my breasts. I shook off Minji's grip and backed away.
“Is that what you do after seeing me for the first time in ages—grope my chest?!”
“Your reaction's just like Hayun's too... What can I do? But why are yours bigger than mine?!”
I quietly shut my mouth as she patted her own chest. It felt a bit off for me to comment on that right now.
“Tch! What's with that look?”
“Uh, n-no... nothing.”
I averted my eyes from Minji's gaze looking down at me. Comparing our chests would probably just make her madder.
“Anyway, where's my burger?”
“Sigh. Here. First, explain what happened.”
“Got it! But burgers first!”
I took the hamburger from Minji and headed inside. It had been so long since I'd had one—I had to savor it. I gave thanks to Minji for today's daily bread.
“Then, bon appétit.”
*
“Phew. Anyway, that's how it happened.”
“No way, I can't wrap my head around it at all.”
I munched on the leftover fries while explaining everything to Minji. As expected, she didn't believe me, so I just shrugged. I could prove the moon granted my wish by showing her the email, but yeah, it was still hard to believe.
“Well... I kinda get it now. So how much yin energy does it take to...”
Her eyes fixed on my chest made me cover it with my arms. Even if I'd been a guy before, having someone stare like that was still kinda creepy.
“Anyway, I'm Kang Hayun, I've turned into a girl, and I've got insane dev skills. All true.”
“Whoa, that last one's the most unbelievable.”
“What?! Heh, say what you want—it's not changing facts.”
I smirked at her incredulous laugh. It felt good laughing and chatting with a friend after so long.
“Anyway, you'll help, right?”
“Sure. You helped with my stream, so I owe you.”
“No, we're friends—you'd help even without the stream stuff!”
“Pfft, kidding, obviously. So, what do you need?”
“Honestly, everything? I told you, I don't even know what I need.”
“Really?”
Her gaze turned predatory, and I tensed up. What? Why's she looking at me like that? My body shivered with goosebumps.
“Um...”
“Get dressed first. We're buying it all today.”
“Wait, I don't have money?”
“I'll buy it. Come on—no refusals. Got it?”
“Uh...”
“Answer me.”
“Y-yes.”
Her unexpected bossiness got me responding, and I prepped to head out. Not that there was much to prep. I rummaged through my old guy clothes and found stuff that sorta fit, then called it done.
“Ready.”
“Let's go.”
I left the house with Minji. No idea how long it'd been since my last shopping trip.
*
We rode Minji's car to the department store. I couldn't even remember the last time I'd gone this far from home.
“Underwear first. You're not wearing any, right?”
“Huh? Yeah. Wouldn't it be weirder if I was?”
“...Fair point. We don't know your size anyway, so we'll measure.”
“Can't you just eyeball it?”
“Should I strip you here and measure?”
“...Sorry.”
I rubbed my cheek and looked away from her fierce glare. One wrong word, and it felt like something bad might actually happen.
“Must be nice, though?”
“Huh? What?”
“Your dev skills leveling up. That's what you always wanted, right?”
“Yeah. But it's not enough. Now I'll make my dreams come true.”
“That project you said you wanted to succeed at before dying?”
“Yep! Feels doable now.”
There was something I desperately wanted to pull off. But to do it, I still needed prep—better gear, manpower, all sorts of stuff. Raw skill alone wouldn't cut it.
“Here. Out.”
I felt the car park and hopped out first. The department store looked huge after so long.
“Was it always this big?”
“You got smaller. Tsk, did all the height go to your chest?”
“Hey! And quit staring at my boobs!”
“With tits that big, who'd blame me? Come on—let's shop quick and go. You want that too, right?”
“Yeah.”
I just wanted to grab basics and get home to code. So many ideas bubbling up, and wasting time here sucked.
“Then hurry.”
“You don't even know where? Follow me—I'll lead.”
I trailed behind Minji. Glancing around, even on a weekday, there were tons of people. Classic department store.
“Crowded.”
“Why act like you've never been out?”
“Uh...”
“Nah, fair enough for you.”
She sighed as she walked, and I just smiled. Yeah, I'd lived like that! But I had one friend! Some online acquaintances too! ...Okay, no outings, so I couldn't argue.
“Ooh, that'd make good content.”
“Talking to yourself again?”
I scanned for content ideas while following, and suddenly we were at the women's lingerie section.
“Grab a fitting room number and wait.”
“Okay.”
Rows of colorful bras and panties... felt weird being here. Like, did I belong? Just days ago I was a guy—standing here felt as wrong as peeking during a shower.
“What, why not come in?”
“Eep! No, just... y'know?”
“Lurking outside is weirder.”
She dragged me inside. From plain to sexy stuff, my face heated up as I stuck behind her. Did I really belong here?
“Don't worry—head to the fitting room. I'll measure and bring bras. Cute ones?”
“...Just plain ones, please.”
I imagined myself in lacy stuff. Might suit me, but me wearing it? Ew, no.
“Fine, fine. Something normal.”
She shoved me into the fitting room. Why wasn't she leaving? No clue.
“Now strip.”
“...?”
“To measure.”
“Can't you do it over clothes...?”
“Want me to undress you, or you do it?”
Her hands creeping closer made me crumple and roll my eyes before peeling off my top. Wasn't over-clothes fine? Apparently not.
“Top off—hurry.”
“Got it. Hold on.”
The tape measure circling my back from behind tensed me up. Someone touching my body was mentally exhausting, period.
“Tsk. Huge.”
It pressed against my breasts, and I heard her annoyed sigh. Hey, I didn't ask for them big.
“70H. Measured—I'll grab bras. Stay put.”
“Huh? Can't I dress?”
“You'll strip again to try them.”
“Oh.”
Made sense. No point dressing over underwear anyway.
“Don't close the curtain all the way.”
“Hey, I'm not a kid? Hurry up.”
She smirked, and I shot her a glare. I waited in the fitting room, staring at the mirror. Never really looked at myself properly. Skin gone from dry to snowy pale, body from firm to soft. Eyes sparkling ruby-like. Wasn't even handsome before—how'd I turn this pretty? Yin energy overload, probably. Still figuring that out.
“But why'd the dark circles stay?”
Everything changed except those. Stubborn under-eye bags, refusing to vanish even as a girl.
“Well... still pretty, though.”
“What're you doing?”
“Eek?!”
Voice from behind startled me—I whipped around. No footsteps—when'd she sneak in?
“Whoa, jiggle.”
“Ow! Don't say weird stuff—that them?”
“Yeah. I'll show you how to put it on—remember.”
“W-wait...!”
Her hands guiding the bra made me flinch. So that's how bras work. Learned something new today.
After her lecture on women's underwear, she let me go. Not much to remember, but man, what a hassle.
“Haa... tired. So tired.”
“Tired? We're not done.”
“Oh.”
We'd only done underwear—clothes and other stuff left.
“...Can we do the rest later?”
“Think you can?”
Her deadpan face crumpled me, and she dragged me off again. Wanted home so bad... such a drag.
She led me to her usual women's clothing store. Ugh, really no later?
“Picked some—try 'em.”
“Got it. ...No skirts, though.”
“Why?”
“Even if I was a guy, skirts are too much.”
“Hmph, fine for now. But we'll buy some.”
“No, it's oka—fine. We'll get 'em.”
Used to looking down at her; now she loomed. Scary with her sharp vibe. If not childhood friends, I'd never approach.
“Ugh... wanna code. Wanna go home...”
I leaned against the fitting room wall, waiting. She'd pick normal stuff, right? Friends don't force weird clothes.
“Here—change.”
“Already?”
Amazed at her speed. Bras in minutes flat.
“Come out when done. It'll suit you. Promise.”
“That confident? Gimme a sec.”
I closed the curtain and checked the clothes. Nothing off.
“Hmm, okay.”
Changed into her picks. Ditching guy clothes for women's felt pervy, like cross-dressing without trying. Pants, sure, but getting used to girl stuff would take time.
“This... kinda tight?”
Fit snug, hugging curves uncomfortably. I twisted, checked the mirror, then parted the curtain.
“It's too snug— is this right?”

“Whoa. Perfect.”
