Lust Defies Reason
Sex and the two managers — you can't apply standards like common sense or rationality to lust. If that sort of thing held up, humanity never would've reproduced. I remember seeing something online once about a woman with both legs in casts after an accident. She ended up pregnant while hospitalized, and the doctor supposedly grabbed her by the scruff of the neck. She was a newlywed, and she'd been going at it with her husband right there in the hospital room. In a shared ward, no less, with other patients around.
Why am I bringing this up? Because right now I'm hearing things like, "Haah! Mar, it's been so long since I felt this," and "Huff..." We're in the middle of it. One moment Richel and I were lying together talking quietly, and the next thing I knew our bodies had taken over the conversation. The military elf, her desires piled up to the breaking point, naturally melted into my arms and climbed right on top of me. Then, true to her soldier's efficiency, she stripped in record time and pounced on her boyfriend. The frail human male had no right of refusal.
My body was in decent shape, and after what had happened with Morvanel, skipping this with Richel would've felt like a real shame. Sure, we were in a hospital, but it was a private room, not a shared ward, so there was nothing to feel guilty about. Whether it was the magic or Morvanel's mark, my body felt no strain at all. Most importantly, it was the dead of night — perfect timing for sex.
Come to think of it, Morvanel is currently summoned. Does that mean she's somewhere watching Richel and me go at it? That voyeuristic pervert spider! Every single one of these SSS-rank summons is overflowing with deviant tendencies. As their master, it's hard to feel at ease. Still, the thought of someone watching us only seems to make it more exciting... At this rate I might end up discovering a brand-new fetish.
"Richel, I'm about to come."
"Yeah. Do it inside."
Finishing inside an elf woman with a beautiful face, fair skin, and an incredible body — raw, no protection. No man in his right mind would dislike that, unless he was gay. We reached our peaks together in perfect harmony. Her inner walls clenched hard around me, sending waves of pleasure through my body. I came hard, like finally letting go after holding it in for too long. All my strength seemed to drain out along with it, leaving my mind hazy.
Richel arched her back, taking the orgasm through her entire body, then collapsed onto my chest.
"Hoo..."
"Haa... haa... It felt so intense I thought my womb was going to break."
"Isn't that a bit of an exaggeration?"
"Not at all. With chemistry like this, I'll probably get pregnant right away."
If I'd been drinking anything, I would've choked on it. My heart dropped at those words. Pregnancy? I must've misheard. But after coming inside her without any protection, she was already talking about getting pregnant. That's what happens when people lose themselves to lust and pleasure — pregnancy and consequences don't even register. Still, this was clearly my mistake. Those imperial elves, especially the Royal Guard, really are cunning and dangerous.
"Pregnancy? I haven't prepared anything—"
"Don't worry, Mar. I'll take full responsibility. I'm a Royal Guard officer, after all, and I've saved up quite a bit. All you have to do is show up."
"Very impressive, Sergeant Major Richel."
"How about we start preparing for the wedding once your prosthetic procedure is done? Forget about revenge and all that. Of course, I can't forgive the woman who did this to you. But I don't want my lover getting into danger again either."
"That's not happening. I carve favors into stone and grudges into steel."
"What kind of saying is that?"
Richel burst into laughter at my bizarre proverb. She looked pretty when she laughed. Living with a capable, stunning elf wife in a fantasy world... It wouldn't be bad, but it would get boring fast. After trampling so many people and staining my hands with blood to get this far, a normal life was never an option. Besides, I still wasn't ready to settle down into a stable family!
A harem. I was going to build a harem. I'd already been with elves, dark elves, beastkin, giants, and monster girls. That left demons, dwarves... maybe skip orcs. And hey, this was a fantasy world. Polygamy wasn't a problem at all.
"Um, Richel?"
"Mmm?"
"Why are you sucking on it?"
"It's just preparation for round two. Back at my estate, we used to go all night, remember?"
If I admitted I didn't remember, I'd never hear the end of it. Better to keep my mouth shut. Dealing with this elf in bed as husband and wife might actually be harder than soothing Tirga or Morvanel. Should I ask Morvanel for help? No — that cunning spider empress wouldn't lift a finger for something this trivial. She'd probably just watch and snicker.
So I spent the entire night being wrung dry by Richel. Only when dawn approached did the sex finally end. Richel fell asleep beside me with a blissful expression, completely naked. Naturally, a nurse walked in on the scene. She scolded us both thoroughly for engaging in indecent acts in a hospital room when the patient was supposed to be resting. Morvanel's teasing was just the cherry on top. How dare she mock her master — I'd have to punish her properly in bed later.
***
This place was deep in the northern mountains, filled with silence and cold. A massive wooden mansion stood there, as if defying the harsh environment. It was none other than the home of Ameri and Admi.
In front of the mansion, which rarely received visitors, a magic circle appeared along with an unidentified guest. Shorter than a dwarf, dressed in a silk hat and coat, he looked like a tiny gentleman. "My, what a lovely place you have here."
The dwarven gentleman grumbled about the cold while wrapping his coat tighter, then approached the mansion and knocked on the door. It opened, and a cute cat beastman girl with silver-and-black two-tone hair peeking down to her waist poked her head out.
"Who is it?"
"I'm here to see Admi."
"Admi's friend? Come on in."
Ameri opened the door wide without a hint of suspicion and welcomed the dwarf inside. She even kindly guided the guest to where Admi was. The mansion's interior was quite large, so without Ameri, the dwarven gentleman would've gotten lost. She led him straight to Admi's room.
"Admi, you have a visitor. Can we come in?"
"Enter."
Admi, who had been leisurely enjoying tea in her room, frowned the moment she saw the dwarven gentleman — as if she'd seen something she shouldn't have. Not only that, she grabbed a decorative axe hanging on the wall and hurled it straight at the guest. Clang! The dwarf casually tilted his head, dodging the axe, which embedded itself harmlessly in the wall.
"A-Admi?"
"Ameri! Throw that damned man out right now."
"Your hospitality is terrible. I wasn't expecting a warm welcome, but throwing an axe is a bit much, don't you think?"
"So why are you here, Pecto?"
"What else? I came to talk. Miss, could you bring me a cup of warm tea as well? And some snacks if you have any, hehe."
"Okay, just wait a moment."
Pecto — the manager Marquelon called that annoying dwarf. Ignoring Admi's contempt, Pecto strode over and sat down in the chair across from her. Two small, cute dwarves sitting face-to-face made for quite the fantastical sight. If Marquelon saw it, he'd probably complain that the bad luck had doubled.
Right on cue, Ameri appeared with a tray, setting down warm tea and cookies in front of them.
"Wow, I didn't know there was someone who looks just like Admi. Anyway, if you want more, just say so."
"Sigh... Our Ameri is too kind for her own good."
"Indeed. A pure volunteer who doesn't suit a strict manager at all."
"What did you just say? Say one more stupid thing and I'll bury you in the snow."
Ameri, who had never seen Admi this angry before, looked terrified and fled the room. Pecto, unfazed, sipped his tea and munched on cookies, praising how delicious they were.
"Mmm, these cookies are good. Can they be packaged to go?"
"Get to the point. Now."
"Alright, alright. I heard our brilliant Miss Admi was spouting nonsense to my candidate, so I came to straighten things out. Feeling better now?"
"Don't tell me... You're talking about Marquelon?"
"Yeah. I can't believe you're still hung up on that. Killing those three candidates won't bring peace to the world. And what was that other nonsense? If we don't deal with them, the world will end?"
"Shut up. You know better than anyone how dangerous those three are."
"There are plenty of candidates driven mad by power and insanity they can't handle. You know that better than anyone. The moment they draw that Tarot, they trade their sanity for power. Though that cat girl seems like a special case..."
Pecto started to say something, then pressed a hand to his forehead and sighed deeply, as if there was no point. To soothe his frustration, he stuffed a sweet cookie into his mouth and washed it down with tea. The pleasant sweetness spread through his mouth, easing his heavy heart just a little.
"Skipping work wasn't enough, so now you're inciting someone else's candidate? You should be grateful to the higher-ups for tolerating even this."
"So you came all this way just to lecture me?"
"Should I say I came to see my ex-girlfriend instead?"
An awkward silence fell. Admi's face turned bright red, and Pecto, realizing his mistake, coughed awkwardly and gulped down his tea. She shot to her feet, grabbed another decorative axe from the wall, and looked ready to throw it at her ex. But Pecto didn't even blink. Instead, he provoked her openly.
"Go ahead and throw it. Make sure it hits me right between the eyes."
Admi started to throw the axe, then took a deep breath and hung it back on the wall. She simply made a dismissive sound and sipped her tea as if nothing had happened.
"Crazy bastard."
"I'm not crazy, Admi. The crazy ones are the higher-ups and the project they're running."
"Even a broken clock is right twice a day. I guess miracles do happen."
"Anyway, thanks for the food. Unlike some people, I'm a very busy man. And we're just managers — we can't save the otherworlders. You know that. How long do you think you can keep living peacefully with that cute cat girl?"
"......"
Pecto stood up and vanished with a flash of light. For a brief moment, his eyes had held genuine concern for Admi. Shortly after, Ameri, who had been worried, carefully opened the door and came back in. She pulled the axe out of the wall and returned it to its proper place.
"Admi, did something happen? Want me to bring more cookies?"
"Ameri, you must never get involved with a man like that. Especially not the kind who toys with a woman's heart with his words!"
Ameri just tilted her head, completely failing to understand Admi's words. Admi found herself craving alcohol for the first time in a while. Ameri's mansion, where even daily life and survival skills were at their peak, naturally had liquor she'd brewed herself, and Admi occasionally drank it. Today was one of those days. She couldn't get through this without a drink.
