The Spoils of Victory
“Bring me booze and women! The war is over.”
The flag of the Silvareich Empire flew over the gates. The surviving townsfolk were either dragged away as slaves or forced to repair the shattered outer walls. Tirga, Ranea, Richel, and I strode boldly into the inner castle, a handful of guards trailing behind us.
Inside, we found the lord surrounded by soldiers and servants who looked as though they had lost everything. “Are you the lord of this place?”
“I am. I am Count Vairun, lord of this castle.”
“We offered you the chance to serve the greatest race of all, yet you refused. A pity, Count.”
Ranea drew the curved sword at her waist and beheaded him in one clean stroke. Watching a man’s head fly off felt exactly like a scene from a game. Come to think of it, I’d heard that in ancient Britain they used to kick severed heads around like soccer balls. The count’s headless corpse was tossed outside the castle.
Now came the rightful reward of the victors: a delightful, enthusiastic round of looting. The only downside was that I had no inventory or item box. I had to stuff everything into the old sack I’d gotten from the village chief. I was an isekai protagonist, for crying out loud—surely they could’ve given me at least that much of a game system! I was going to need a porter.
Once the sack was stuffed full, I felt oddly satisfied even without eating. Selling all this would let me live in luxury aboard the flying hotel for a while. No—better to roll the gacha. One SSR wasn’t nearly enough.
“Mercenary, the lieutenant wants to see you. Follow me.”
“On my way.”
The guard led me to a grand hall with a massive table, clearly used for both meals and meetings. The inner castle was just as large as the outer one; someone like me could easily get lost. Then again, it had been built to repel invaders, and look how well that worked out.
“Our hero has arrived! Sit wherever you like—though beside me would be even better.”
“Yes, Lieutenant Richel.”
Richel greeted me warmly, and even Ranea looked pleased to see me. After all, thanks to me they had taken the castle as easily as slicing cake. Richel produced a bottle of fine wine from the castle stores, poured some into a silver cup, and handed it to me herself.
I had drunk wine before, but it had been so long I could barely remember the taste. In my old world it had been far too expensive for someone like me. “Thank you, mercenary. Words alone aren’t enough. So I’ll give you more than I promised.”
At Ranea’s gesture, a guard brought forward a treasure chest overflowing with jewels and gold bars. How much was all this worth? Good thing I’d played the mercenary role so well. Actually, it wasn’t a role anymore—it was my real job.
“The Empire owes you a great debt. Without you we would have spent far more time and money, and lost precious subordinates as well.”
“Not at all. It was only possible because you trusted me with the mission, Lieutenant.”
“Haha. I can’t win against your silver tongue.”
“Ah, we’re holding a victory celebration tonight. Don’t leave the castle—rest here, Marquelon.”
“As the lieutenant says. The guest of honor can’t be absent from the toast.”
“Understood. I’m a bit tired, so I’ll go rest now.”
I accepted the treasure with both hands and left with Tirga. Now, where was I supposed to keep all this money? I had no inventory system, and I didn’t even know if banks existed in this world. Making a fortune was great, but burying it somewhere felt risky.
I stepped into a decent-looking room and set the tray down. “Help! Or rather, System window, sir. Is there any way to store this money?”
> Storage of currency and precious metals is possible. Stored funds may also be used directly for gacha rolls. Proceed?
“Not right now. Let’s hold off on that.”
First I opened the window and topped up Solaris’s fuel and ammunition. This system was really convenient—refueling and resupplying with a single click. It hurt to watch the money vanish instantly, but investment required boldness. At least I wasn’t throwing it into stocks or crypto.
After resupplying Solaris, I deposited the rest of the money into the interest-free storage. At least I could keep the cash and valuables safe.
“Master, this bed isn’t bad. Come lie down quickly.”
“Let’s give it a try!”
It wasn’t as luxurious as Solaris, but it was still fitting for a noble’s castle. If not for the evening party I would have enjoyed a hotel vacation aboard the airship, but that would have to wait.
Maybe it was from using my power, but I felt pleasantly drowsy. Come to think of it, I never felt any mana drain when I summoned something. The summons also had no time limit as long as I didn’t dismiss them—only maintenance costs. As long as I had money, this was an excellent ability.
“Master, what are you thinking so hard about?”
“Making money.”
“You must have a money-obsessed ghost clinging to you, Master.”
“Can’t help it. The world I came from was an age of lost values. A flashy quote from some rich, successful person got more applause than any beautiful, romantic poem.”
“An age of lost values?”
“Besides, if I make money I can buy you delicious things too. Should I get you new armor while I’m at it?”
“Delicious things are fine, but I don’t need armor. And if you really want to do something for me, forget the money—get that thing of yours standing!”
Reward time had arrived. And to think a warrior could be this shameless! Tirga climbed on top of me and began stripping my clothes with practiced ease.
“Wait, we’ve got the evening banquet soon.”
“Tch. Fine, Master. Then… could you do that thing again? Just once?”
“What thing?”
“That… that thing. Lick me down there with your tongue…”
Tirga’s face flushed crimson as she fidgeted. It was comical, considering everything we’d already done together, but asking outright for oral attention was apparently still embarrassing. She had fought hard today; as her master, the least I could do was grant such a modest request.
I ordered her to undress. The obedient summoner bared her body without hesitation. Looking closely at her armor, it reminded me of a warrior whose soul flowed with dragon essence. The design was surprisingly similar.
“Lie back and relax.”
“Ah, okay.”
I spread her legs boldly, attacking her breasts and nipples with both hands while stimulating her clit with my tongue. The triple assault on her erogenous zones made her wet in an instant, accompanied by lewd moans. She was gushing enough to soak the sheets. All those hours studying on YouTube had paid off. Thank you, sensei. Your knowledge will serve me well in this other world.
“Hnn, haah… M-Master…”
She squeezed my head between her thighs, twisting her body until she suddenly froze with a sharp gasp. She had come perfectly. I hadn’t planned on going further, but seeing her so aroused made it impossible to hold back.
“Aah, Master, I’m still sensitive—mmph!”
I sealed her vulgar cries with a kiss, climbed on top, and thrust hard. She clenched around me even tighter than before, flooding with ecstatic fluids, and I answered by finishing deep inside her.
“Master… I feel like I just came back from Valhalla.”
“I wasn’t going to have sex, but you were too sexy to resist.”
“Kiss me again, Master.”
The session ended with a deep, tongue-tangling kiss. The bed was soaked, though, so lying on it felt unpleasant. Fortunately there was another bed in the room; otherwise we would have had to rest on hard chairs.
Tirga and I climbed into the fresh bed, naked and embracing, and enjoyed a nap—until the elven guards came to wake us.
After sex and a nap I was starving. Following an elf guide, we arrived at a spacious hall filled with a lavish feast. Tirga’s eyes sparkled as she rushed toward the food and began devouring everything within reach. I had promised her delicious things, so I let her eat as much as she wanted.
“The guest of honor has arrived. Welcome to the party celebrating our victory at the Trupers siege.”
“Yes, Lieutenant Richel. Where is Lieutenant Ranea?”
“She’ll be here shortly. First, a toast with me.”
At Richel’s gesture a maid handed me a cup of wine. I clinked glasses with the elven sergeant and drank deeply. It wasn’t as good as the wine from earlier in the hall, but it wasn’t bad.
“You drink well, Marquelon.”
“I’d drink more if I could afford it—especially wine like this.”
“True. This region is famous for its wine, so the quality is excellent.”
Ranea arrived, and the true victory celebration began. Musicians played lively tunes while we raised our cups and filled our bellies with rich, delicious food. Tirga was chatting noisily with the elves and having a great time. She had performed spectacularly in today’s battle and shown the power of a giant, so it was no surprise she drew attention.
Richel, however, showed no interest in Tirga. Instead she stuck close to my side and initiated skinship.
“Ahem. You seem drunk.”
“A sergeant of the Imperial Guard wouldn’t get drunk on something like this. Don’t underestimate my tolerance.”
A drunkard claiming they weren’t drunk was about as believable as someone insisting they were only holding hands. The elven sergeant’s face was flushed red. Even so, she was beautiful in that distinctly elven way. Short hair wasn’t easy to pull off, yet she managed it perfectly. No—because she was beautiful, the short hair suited her. Order of importance mattered.
With her beige hair and sharp yet feminine features, she would have been the type to marry easily if born a human in the modern world. There was a reason elves were indispensable in fantasy settings—they were gorgeous.
“Marquelon, would you like to drink somewhere more private, just the two of us?”
“Gladly.”
What a mistake. The answer had slipped out almost reflexively. But what man could refuse a beautiful elf asking to drink together? Even a priest would struggle. Tirga, enjoy yourself. Your master is going to indulge in a little escapade.
Richel took a bottle in one hand and my hand in the other, leading me away. The other elves were too busy enjoying the party to notice us.
