Immortal Domain or Other Domain, It's All the Same — Or Perhaps a Young King?
Immortal Domain or Other Domain, It’s All the Same — Or Perhaps a Young King?
The Heavenly Ancient City trembled violently. The grand and towering stone gate — the very gate from myths and legends — had manifested once more in the world today, and it had been pushed open. Amidst the rumbling, it released a vast, surging radiance.
Every living being felt as though they would be reduced to ashes beneath the collision of the two worlds’ auras, leaving not even bones behind.
This overwhelming force was like two Great Universes colliding in an unimaginable impact, sweeping forth from ancient times and reaching the present era.
Even the stars beyond the Sky Domain were shaking, on the verge of plummeting down.
Yet the most unbelievable thing of all was that this stone gate had been pushed open by a being from another world. He walked over calmly, his pace unhurried, yet it made everyone’s hearts feel as if they would burst. This stretch of heaven and earth seemed almost unable to bear his presence.
The entire Heavenly Ancient City quaked ceaselessly because of his arrival. The marks covering its walls began to manifest, and torrent-like runes wove together into a sky full of dazzling, resplendent light that no one could look at directly.
All the Cultivators and beings before him — whether from the Other Domain or descendants of the Immortal Domain — were struck dumb, stunned speechless by the sight before them.
As for the True Daoists of the Other Domain, they were horrified to the extreme, their scalps tingling. At this moment, all they wanted was to transform into divine light and flee; they had no desire whatsoever to remain here.
The Dark Blood Golden Crow Clan’s True Daoist, who had been so domineering just moments ago, had now become a mist of blood filling the sky, dead without a corpse, perishing miserably before the stone gate.
Although none of them had clearly seen what happened, they all knew that the Dark Blood Golden Crow Clan’s True Daoist had certainly been casually swatted to death by that handsome man — as easily as swatting a buzzing fly. So simple that the man had only managed a single cry before vanishing without a trace.
This was the Dark Blood Golden Crow Clan’s Ancestor! A being who lorded over an entire Great World, who had cultivated for a million years, whose might was unmatched, and who was in the prime of his life — and yet he had died so miserably.
At this moment, only great terror filled their hearts, their minds brimming with dread.
Moreover, under this young man’s gaze, their very souls seemed frozen. Or rather, if they dared to flee, their fate would absolutely be the same as the Dark Blood Golden Crow Clan’s Ancestor — instant, miserable death.
“Didn’t they say that world was already shattered, its laws incomplete, incapable of giving birth to anyone surpassing the Immortal Realm?”
“Who exactly is this person?”
“The Great Ancestors have said it themselves — that land has long been ruined. The gate of the Severed Horizons cannot possibly be opened by anyone from that world.”
Many powerhouses of the Other Domain were gripped by fear, chills running through their bodies. Shaken by these sights, they could not speak, their voices trembling.
“A powerhouse who walked out from that land of origin...”
The descendants of the Immortal Domain, on the other hand, were overcome with excitement. From the various fragmented continents, countless gazes turned this way, witnessing everything that had just happened.
It was too shocking. To many, it was simply unbelievable.
The Immortal Domain truly had changed.
The Big Red Bird followed excitedly behind Gu Changge, once again sensing the aura of the Immortal Domain. Though this time, what it felt more keenly was how different the environment of heaven and earth had become compared to before. The surrounding Cultivators and beings were not people of the Immortal Domain, but beings from the Other Domain.
Of course, it could understand the language of the Immortal Domain’s inhabitants. From their words, it deduced that the Immortal Domain had undergone great changes — the Other Domain had likely already invaded and conquered it, leaving the Immortal Domain in utter ruin.
Though it felt regret and melancholy over this, it also knew that this was something that could not be helped.
Gu Changge walked unhurriedly from the stone gate, his expression perfectly calm, not the slightest ripple in his demeanor despite the countless beings watching him.
The fluctuations around him had subsided, returning to simplicity. He seemed like the vast, boundless void itself, yet also like an ordinary being.
But having personally witnessed a True Daoist die miserably before him, not a single creature here dared to treat him as an ordinary person.
Seeing Gu Changge approach at his leisure, all the beings of the Other Domain felt their hearts seize up, involuntarily retreating several steps.
Those who had arrived riding divine mounts were even more alarmed, feeling their mounts trembling in terror, and had no choice but to descend from the sky.
Many of the Other Domain’s younger generation also wore expressions of fear and unease. After all, judging by appearance, Gu Changge looked about the same age as them — perhaps even younger.
Moreover, there was not the slightest trace of agedness about him; his true age was definitely not great.
As the finest talents of the Other Domain’s generation, they had shone brilliantly during the conquest of the Immortal Domain, looking down upon many of the Immortal Domain’s young prodigies, styling themselves as peerless powerhouses of their era who would one day achieve the Dao and even step into the Immortal Realm.
Never had they imagined they would witness with their own eyes a young man casually swat a True Daoist to death — and push open that legendary gate of the Severed Horizons, which none but a King could break.
Could this be a young King of the Immortal Domain?
At this thought, their faces all turned pale. They simply could not believe it, nor dared to imagine it.
In their view, although that world was called the Source World of the Immortal Domain, after the forbidden calamity of that battle countless years ago, everything had been shattered, left bitterly desolate. It was impossible for it to give birth to an existence surpassing the Immortal Realm — at most, someone who had walked very far within the True Daoist realm.
“Who rules the Immortal Domain now?”
Gu Changge asked calmly as he walked out from within the Heavenly Ancient City. The city gate was magnificent, the gateway itself astonishingly grand. Walking here, one could see no end — the vastness was beyond imagination. The grey-brown stone ground and the flat road seemed to stretch on forever as he slowly walked forward.
As he spoke, his gaze fell upon some of the Immortal Domain’s descendants on the fragmented continent ahead.
With his current cultivation, he could naturally perceive what had happened, and could also discern which Cultivators and beings came from the Immortal Domain and which came from the Yin True World — that is, the Other Domain.
“R-reporting to Daren... the Western Immortal Domain has long been without a King. Millions of years ago, the Glorious Heaven Immortal King of the Western Immortal Domain was besieged and slain by several Kings of the Other Domain, his body carried back wrapped in a shroud. The Heavenly Ancient City was precisely what the Glorious Heaven Immortal King sealed and hid away.”
Hearing Gu Changge’s question, a white-haired old man stepped forward from among the group of Immortal Domain descendants and answered in a trembling voice, filled with grief.
The Glorious Heaven Immortal King had been the King of the Western Immortal Domain, once ruling over it. Of course, besides the Glorious Heaven Immortal King, the Western Immortal Domain had other Immortal Kings as well, but they too had long since vanished without a trace.
Some suspected they had entered death seclusion, their whereabouts unknown. Others believed they might have departed for other True Worlds, abandoning the Immortal Domain. And of course, some believed they had long since perished, secretly murdered by the Other Domain.
“Long without a King...”
Gu Changge nodded, not particularly surprised. If this had happened millions of years ago, then it was only natural that the Immortal Domain had deteriorated into its current miserable state.
However, his appearance in the Immortal Domain was not for the sake of standing up for its descendants or seeking justice on their behalf.
In his eyes, the Immortal Domain and the Other Domain were one and the same — both were parts of the Mountains and Oceans True World. It was just that, judging by the current situation, the Mountains and Oceans True World had been split apart.
Among the Other Domain, there were likely some clans that had secretly pledged allegiance to the Source Realm, or had thrown in their lot with other True Worlds, attempting to locate the Source of the Mountains and Oceans True World and refine it, thereby achieving the Sole True World.
This Sole True World was a truth passed down since ancient times: on the day the Sole True World is born, the Source Realm will suffer a tremendous impact — and that is the most crucial act of the War Against Heaven.
