Chapter 92: You Big Bastard
Chapter 92: You Big Bastard
“Ah~~ I won’t leave, I won’t leave! An Ran, you can’t do this to me! I won’t get out of the car! You bastard!!!”
Chen Jiao cries as if An Ran is committing an unspeakable cruelty against her. An Ran, her expression stern, yanks Chen Jiao from the vehicle. In a moment of frustration, she strikes Chen Jiao several times, her anger boiling over as she shouts at Chen Jiao, who collapses to the ground: “Get out! I won’t be with someone like you. You abandoned your own son, and you’ll sell me out in no time. Go! We’ll part ways from here on out!”
“Do you think I want this? You have no idea how many zombies are on the third floor! I’m hurting too! When I left He Wen behind, I felt like I wanted to die, okay?!!!”
Sitting on the ground, Chen Jiao avoids An Ran’s blows while crying. What can she say? What can she do? Everyone thinks she is just a loudmouth and believes she has no feelings. But she is scared too; she feels fear! When she abandoned He Wen, it felt like someone is stabbing her heart with a knife. But what can she do?
She has He Wen in her arms, and the zombies chasing her keep increasing, more and more. Who can tell her what she could have done at that moment?
She is just an ordinary woman. But who could expect her to do better in a different situation?
“Then go die! Don’t drag me down with you!!! Just go, go, go!!!”
An Ran kicks Chen Jiao, knocking her down on the ground, quickly closes the passenger door, and runs back to the driver’s seat. Chen Jiao immediately gets up from the ground and pounds on the passenger door, but An Ran hurriedly locks it.
Unable to open the door, Chen Jiao watches helplessly as An Ran drives off, stepping on the gas and leaving her alone on the deserted street, driving away with a car full of supplies and a crying Doll.
The level of ruthlessness is simply unbelievable!
“An Ran, you bastard! You big bastard!!!”
Chen Jiao chases after the car for a few steps, but she can’t catch up. Anger and fear engulf her as she cries bitterly. At the end of the long street, she hears the zombies’ guttural “ho ho” sounds. Trembling, she feels the tears on her face continue to fall.
Desperately, she runs in the direction An Ran has taken, crying and calling out her name countless times. Then, feeling lost, she turns back and looks toward the hospital, sobbing softly as she repeats, “He Wen, He Wen, I’m sorry! Mom is sorry for you. I’m so sorry.”
With Hu Zhen there, He Wen will survive, right? Will he?
Helplessness washes over Chen Jiao, but a flicker of hope remains. God bless her, He Wen must live well; he must.
The departing large black SUV shines with a brand-new gleam under the sunlight. An Ran hasn’t even driven it more than twice since she bought it, as the wheels roll over the stone-paved street. While driving, An Ran cries, and behind her, Chen Jiao’s desperate figure is left far behind. Clenching her teeth, An Ran presses the gas pedal and turns down a corner, leading the zombies away.
It isn’t that she is overly pragmatic; rather, Chen Jiao’s actions leave her profoundly disappointed. If Chen Jiao only cares about her own son while leaving Doll behind to cry on the ground, that isn’t the fundamental reason An Ran abandons Chen Jiao. The real reason is that Chen Jiao leaves her own son in the horde of zombies to attract them while she runs away.
