Chapter 106: No One Will Disturb Us
Chapter 106: No One Will Disturb Us
Anran takes a deep breath. Just as Wang Xin is about to leave, she grips the knife handle behind her waist with one hand and shouts, "Wait!!!"
Wang Xin pauses, a triumphant smile spreading across his face.
Anran calls from inside the door, "Wang Xin, I want to ask you, are you really here alone?"
"I'm alone. Don’t worry, no one will disturb us."
After hearing Wang Xin’s words, Anran takes another deep breath. It’s good—he’s alone!
She glances through the peephole again, confirming he’s the only one outside.
She opens the door slightly and, with a smile that seems to convey surrender, whispers, "Wang Xin, we had no grudges before. Why are you forcing me into this?"
"Wouldn't it have been better to open the door sooner?" Wang Xin says arrogantly, frowning as he pushes the door open and squeezes past Anran.
Anran had initially planned to take the knife and corner Wang Xin once he entered, but the reality is harsh. As Wang Xin pushes the door open, he shoves her aside. Anran’s arm, which had been holding the knife behind her waist, strikes the wall at the elbow, causing her whole hand to go numb.
In just a few seconds, Wang Xin is inside, walking around Zhan Lian's house like he owns the place. He sits on the leather sofa, shaking the apple in his hand at Anran and says, "You’re right. We had no grudges before. I, Wang Xin, have received a lot of complaints—people always look down on others. But you, Miss An, you don’t. For that, I, Wang Xin, will never treat you badly in the future. Don’t worry, clean up and come back, I’ll wait for you here. Though the water’s a little murky, I don’t mind."
After saying that, he places the apple on the coffee table, as if it were something valuable, and looks up at Anran with the arrogant air of someone who thinks of himself as a rich man. He’s waiting for Anran to throw herself at him.
Anran closes the door with a stern face. Since she’s let Wang Xin in, she’s not about to let him out again today. If she does, he’ll just call the other three security guards, and four men will overwhelm her. That will be the beginning of her tragedy.
Looking at Wang Xin, Anran understands his intentions clearly. He’s tired of Xiaomei. Liu Yuan, who lives next door, has resisted him, but her time is running out. Even if Liu Yuan gives in, she’s only one. So as soon as Anran returns to the community, Wang Xin can’t wait to find a new target. His promise of not treating Anran badly simply means he won’t let the other two security guards touch her until he gets bored of her.
The thought makes Anran tremble with anger.
Humanity has fallen so low; what’s left for her to pretend?
With that, Anran walks over to the double leather sofa beside Wang Xin, sits down, and sneers at him.
"Wang Xin, do you know that my husband has been in the army for a year, and no matter how lonely I get, I’ve never been involved with any other man? Because, from the start, I’ve never been that kind of person!"
She bends forward, pushing the apple on the coffee table back toward Wang Xin. No matter how he tries to tempt her, she will not throw herself at him for an apple. That would be too cheap.
