Useless Priest! Tankless Prot Paladin!! Loot-Hogging Stationary Gunner!!
A priest who can't heal! A Protection Paladin who can't tank!! A Gunner who skips chores, hogs loot, and just stands there DPSing!! The party that even took down the hidden boss in the Nesting Chamber naturally followed Gang Minseo's butt through a massive smelter.
The smelter itself was nothing special, but a cave off to the side housed a boss called Giant Monster.
"For real... this is so unfair, unnie! How could this happen?!"
To take down Giant Monster, unless your gear was top-tier, you had to clear the eggs embedded in the cave and the patrolling trash mobs.
While handling that annoying chore, Im Harin elbowed my side boob and grumbled.
"What? Again?"
"Nooo! It's just unfair! Look, we came to the Upper Spire and we've taken down three bosses so far, right?"
"Only two were real bosses, though? You're talking about loot, yeah?"

Im Harin pouted her lips.
"Amuuut... that! Rune Watcher! You found where I respawned, unnie! And someone else took the accessory it dropped!"
The accessory she was whining about was called Stinging Tree Branch.
With its insane effect—"All damage and healing from spells and effects increased by up to 31"—it was drool-worthy for ranged DPS classes labeled as casters.
Of course, the healing boost meant I could roll on it too as a healer.
"Yeah, you didn't win that one. But you rolled dice for it."
"Tch... I get that! But look at Daydream! That guy's snagged three items today already! And we've only done four bosses!"
So that's what the whining was about.
"Think about it—he bid on the branch first. Didn't seem to know it doesn't proc on his own attacks..."
"It's not just the branch! He took the hit rating shoulder from Guardian of Fire too!"
Lost of Fantasy in its original days was a truly hardcore game, so players had to manage their own hit rating.
Ignore it, and melee DPS might poke the boss's butt forever without landing a single hit.
In other words, a shoulder with hit rating was pretty tasty loot.
"Yeah, but he won that on dice too." "Tch! And that's not even the end, unnie! Earlier in the Nesting Chamber, that tough hidden boss dropped Moonlit Grace Tunic, and Daydream took it!"
"True, raw attack power on the chest piece makes it solid."
"And! And! That's not all! The hand from that boss we grabbed on the way—he took that too! Options were meh, but still!"
Looking at it, the guy was pigging out like a total loot hog.
"Still, Harin, nothing we can do."
"Hmph..."
"It's not 'cause they're streamers—we agreed upfront to just roll dice fair and square. No pre-rolls or anything."
"...What's a pre-roll?"
Im Harin pouted even more while finishing off the last trash.
I shrugged and pressed down on those lips with my palm.
"You decide in advance who's getting what item before it drops."
"Ugh... how do streamers even do that? Of course they eat first, then we get scraps!"
"Right? But don't sweat it. Upper Spire's one of the four major induns anyway—tons of big boss runs coming later."
"So you're saying no need to whine now since it's a grinding spot anyway?"
I nodded, but Im Harin still looked unconvinced, lips pursed.
"Still... Daydream hogging everything is bullshit... Guy doesn't even have a job, I sprinkled birthstones! He just DPSes! DPS only!"
"Can't help i—"
Before I could say more about Daydream, Gang Minseo grabbed the mic for a briefing.
"My roll, my roll... mine!"
I hadn't told Im Harin, but truth was, in Upper Spire, the only item worth her taking was Stinging Tree Branch.
Sure, if she got super lucky and some random-drop like Dark Moon Magic Wand fell from a dungeon or mob...
Anyway, the Giant Monster boss fight kicked off without a hitch.
Boss threw Fear now and then, but we'd cleared the cave trash clean, and all DPS were wall-hugging, so no adds spawned.
Even if someone goofed and cracked an egg, with two tanks, Irea grabbing aggro on adds meant the party was safe...
"...Whatever."
"Huh? What's up, unnie?"
"Nah, not serious."
Party HP shoulda been fine, but it was bouncing like crazy.
Does this make sense? With two healers?
Trash popped briefly, smacked Irea and some DPS, and it wasn't getting healed?
"Oh... got it, unnie! Danina's slacking, right?"
"Nah... doesn't look like slacking."
Danina the priest was hopelessly talentless at healing.
Senseless healer plus the ranged DPS begging for water anyway—but we'd prepped so well, no full wipe.
Even undergeared, full 10-man party meant Giant Monster bled out in about a minute.
"Huh? Hunter? Not DPS then, unnie?"
"Nah, too iffy for DPS. Fits in prof slot. See the description?"
"Ooh, real talk—hunter prof guy should take it."
Im Harin figured the silent DPSing Ascetic Shaman streamer 5 Second Man should snag it.
But Daydream bid anyway.
Irea chimed in, but Daydream wasn't budging.
"No! Fuck! That guy! Unnie!"
Im Harin jabbed at the monitor frantically upon hearing him.
"That dude!! He's not a Survival Gunner!!! He's Beastmaster!!! Never seen him pop a beast once! What beast bullshit?!"
Survival Gunner specialized in taming field beasts to fight alongside; Beastmaster DPSed solo fine without 'em.
Beastmasters could summon beasts too, but Daydream skipped it 'cause control was a hassle.
In the awkwardly chaotic vibe, Daydream scarfed his fourth item.
Before we knew it, our party had roamed Moonlight Spire Upper for two hours.
Even with my strats, most were fresh level 60s, so mob clears dragged.
Gang Minseo was noobing too—lots of stalls, her half-crying whispers to me...
And vacuuming every boss meant no speedrun, even if we wanted.
Anyway, we hit Drokisaurus—and damn, he hit hard.
Gang Minseo charges blind, guardians on flanks rip her head off, Drokisaurus spits Enormous Flames, party HP evaporates—smooth wipe.
Gang Minseo threw up her hands, so I spilled the easiest strat.
Problem? I figured it wouldn't work.
Sad truth: your Prot Paladin's trash. Can't main tank.
Gang Minseo hesitated like I had.
Daydream sour as expected.
Grumbling, Daydream trudged to the jump-in spot.
"Unnie, really no other way? Hate his whining! So much!"
"...Wait. He'll wipe anyway."
Reason I didn't assign Daydream? Exactly this.
Prince this, DPS that...
Issue was, Daydream couldn't do the core thing every ranged DPS needed in Lost of Fantasy.
Gang Minseo's yell launched Daydream's "kite."
The basic ranged skill everyone should know? Went exactly as predicted.
Daydream can't survive.
No way he'd kite well.
Classic massive ego: had to top DPS charts, ignored survival, patterns—total raid trash ranged.
Seen countless like him in Lost of Fantasy—knew instantly.
Raid leads banned 'em, loot restrictions, kicks. Avoid at all costs.
"Told ya it'd flop—that's why I said mage or warlock's easier..."
Party roasted before heals landed; guardians swung huge weapons, Sky and 5 Second Man burst.
Tanks scrambled for aggro, bought maybe 5 extra seconds to wipe.
"Harin, you do it. Pop a demon."
Im Harin clenched fists, most wronged face ever.
"M-me!? No loot at all, unnie!!! And I gotta do this too?!"
