Four Seasons Forest (5)
There are all sorts of races in the world, but if you ask which one is the most specialized in "battle," everyone agrees on the same answer: the demons.
The demons themselves admit it. Horns sprouting from their heads, blue-tinted skin. Eyes that stand in stark contrast to other races. Innate constitutions that let them wield mana effortlessly. And magic with overwhelming power compared to others. All these traits combine to earn them the title of the devilish race—and true to form, they live faithfully by their desires.
Continent history lesson: Demons used to cause chaos in the past, now it's the elves' turn. History lesson over!
└For real, history shows demons were total thugs
└That's why heroes pop up every generation lol
└If you don't keep these guys in check, the world goes to shit lol
└What kind of lives do demons even live?
They were infamous for their brutality in the distant past, all because they followed their desires without restraint. Their reign of terror was so bad that heroes emerged generation after generation to slay and contain the Demon King. The Demon King rules the demon nation of Mephisto, while heroes are powerhouses cultivated directly by humans—noble character, exceptional talent, devout faith, and the immense divine power that comes with it. This clash between Demon Kings and heroes dragged on, claiming countless lives.
But did they get fed up with the endless fighting? Or just plain tired? When did the demons start shaping up? They got quiet all of a sudden.
└They chilled out the moment they got obsessed with that weird ball game
└Hey! "Weird"? Say that to a demon's face and you're getting dismembered
└These guys are dead serious about ball games lol
└They didn't really shape up. Some dude killed a player for an own goal back in the day lol
└Holy shit that's insane lol
└Is that why own goals got renamed to self-goals?
└Yeah, so Mephisto protects their players super strictly now
Demons craved a different kind of battle—not with fists, but something just as thrilling and nail-biting. Punching and brawling had gotten stale. They shoved hero fights to the back burner and threw themselves into research until they created a whole culture: ball sports like soccer, baseball, basketball, rugby, and American football.
At first, even the demons thought it was ridiculous. "Why play ball games when we could just fight?" Gladiator arenas were right there—no need to go far. But as society and laws evolved, violence became taboo. Entertainment options were scarce too. People seek fun when they're comfortable, and in an era lacking distractions, demons had no choice but to get serious. Excluding drugs and gambling, they dove headfirst into dopamine hits from those "silly ball games."
They're so serious about it that even if you mock it as lame compared to real fights, they just chuckle it off. Why? They know they're stronger anyway. Born rivals to the elves, they're inherently powerful. Mock their ball games as trash? They'll come at you like you're dead meat. Especially soccer—humans winning crushed their pride lol
└How do you even know that?
└Teased a demon buddy during futsal, broke my arm
└lololol
└lololol
└Karma lolol
└Did you get comped for medical?
└Yeah, but he told me not to say it to other demons. Could actually die
└How serious are they exactly? lolol
Obviously, it started as a demon-only thing. Other races couldn't care less. Why embrace their culture when demons might blast you with magic any second? Ironically, humans—the ones who'd suffered most in long wars with demons—adopted it first. Why? Short lifespans mean faster generational turnover. Old generations who remembered demon atrocities died off, leaving ones who only knew the ball-game obsessed idiots.
Exchanges grew gradually, and humans pulled a clever move:
Human (from demon POV): If we've got beef, let's settle it with ball games. You're OP anyway, right?
Demon: OK OK, fair
Human: But don't bitch if you lose, yeah?
Demon: As if we'd lose lol
Ten years later... boom, humans develop and win.
Human: We win, losers lol
Demon: Fuck, war time
Human: War over a ball game loss? No pride?
Demon: Ugh fuck... can't even argue
└lololol what can ya do
└Diplomacy really went down like that?
└Summary but yeah pretty much lol
Demons have egos rivaling elves. They've toyed with neighbors thanks to innate strength, but that was the savage era. Spreading sports worldwide improved their image, but egos stayed sky-high. Humans slyly poked at that pride for gains. Demons, trapped in their own logic, grudgingly focused on diplomacy.
Fact: No heroes, and demons would've gone to war
└True fact
└Only possible cuz we're evenly matched lol
└But what about elves?
└Those bastards just stand there lol
└Mephisto's close to human lands tho
└Elves are useless allies anyway
└Now elves are the ones getting wrecked?
└What'd we humans do wrong?
└Ancestors built the country in a shit spot lol
└Surrounded by other races lolol
Half-joking of course—sports stayed sports. But overcoming racial gaps with fair fights skyrocketed popularity. Pure physical skill battles—no mana. Plus, sportsmanship evoked knightly romance.
Dwarves got what outta this? Too short for soccer/basketball. Build doesn't fit rugby/football. Baseball strike zone's awkward. What can they even do?
└PassingDwarf makes the balls, idiots
└lololol
└lololol
└Makes bank?
└PassingDwarf rakes it in at big tourneys
└Did dwarves make balls back then too?
└Nah, used human heads apparently
└ㄷㄷㄷㄷㄷ;;
Dwarves, disadvantaged physically, couldn't play much but dominated accessories—from balls and uniforms to gear. Fine work went to them. Industrialization/commercialization boomed, tournaments sprang up, turning Mephisto into a culture hub.
Sports: Thrilling spectator joy and rage. Addictive like drugs. Weird beastkin fact: Love quiet baseball and brutal football most. Why?
└SusanghalJeongdorok that's sus af. Baseball's bashing heads with bats
└Fuck that's a brawl lolol
└Bench-clearing brawl lolol
└Beastkin bodies tank it fine lolol
Every nation/race has faves, but Mephisto's the origin. Sports are everyday life there—men, women, old, young, all classes dive in.
"No way! How do you miss that?! Are you kidding?!"
This held true even for Mephisto's elite. A stunning woman with classic demon blue skin, reverse-glowing eyes, glossy jet-black hair, and curved ram horns adding subtle allure. Her killer figure set men's hearts ablaze. Perfection incarnate.
"Damn. I could've scored that."
Mephisto's princess and next Demon King heir, ChangguPrincess—Kaelin Rondel Archive—cursed at the soccer match on the broadcast orb.
Post-sports boom, Mephisto invented magic for industry—like this wide-range broadcast she was watching.
"1,000 billion eura for that? Chaeyu's board got eye holes or what?"
Kaelin furrowed her delicate brow, clicking her tongue in disgust. Pure frustration.
As princess, she commanded awe. Innate power and background meant zero political pressure—she could squash dislikes anytime. But sports? Touchy.
Can't help it, but it's frustrating.
Owners could be nobles, but politicize it and you're out. Unwritten rule. Sports are for everyone, not war—elites can't fully control it. Policy tweaks max.
Match over! Chaemes United loses 2-1 at home! Moss Village parties tonight—Challengers League in sight! Chaemes fights to hold rank. How'll Coach Horen...
"Ugh, shit."
Snap—Kaelin killed the broadcast irritably. Blew a winnable game with a red card. She buried her face in her hands, then sighed it off blankly and logged into the Gallery.
Chaemes suck! Chaemes suck! Chaemes suck!
Changgu babies shakin'~
Changgu babies shakin' hard~
Changgu babies shakin'~
???: Gotta suck it up, right?
Changgu cucks lololol
Post-match, Gallery crazies swarmed. Usual.
Kaelin chuckled hollowly and posted.
Asshole reveal ChangguPrincess (pic of deer-emblem asshole)
My asshole for ya~
└lololol did Chaegu lose today?
└ChangguPrincess those bitches scored 2 in extra time lol
└lolololol
└No wonder the psychos showed up
Kaelin posted, stood, head hot—needed cooling.
Clean room first.
Chaemes United jerseys, trophy replicas—Chaeyu merch everywhere. Diehard fan room. It was.
Snap! All vanished, leaving empty space. Her custom training hall.
She circled the void, head down. No regal dress—plain jersey with a Chaeyu legend's name.
Snap! Black gown now. All magic. No chants needed—gestures sufficed.
Checked for misses, headed out. Door rigged with security/locks.
Clunk! Unlocked, stepped out. Middle-aged butler with knights waited.
"Welcome back, Princess. Training done?"
"Yeah. You too."
"My duty to serve."
He bowed. Kaelin patted his shoulder—thanks. Butler teared up.
Rare kindness from the Demon King. Drew hearts. Next-in-line in a ego-breeding world, top-five continent powerhouse—yet humble, kind. "Just that?" Maybe, but demons. And she was polite to all, not stiffly formal.
She's off today. Bad training?
Butler followed, reading her after years. Mood foul. Best shut up. Kind demon or not, piss her off and magic flies.
Control training's rare, must be tough.
Demons near beastkin in aggression. Love competition. Past violence hurt others; now taboo, so self-control key. Crucial for elites—rage ruins deals. Training's vital, grueling.
Ugh, so annoying. How do you concede 2 in extra time?
She trained control—unusually. Diehard Chaemes fan, matches swung emotions wild. Used to smash halls; now? "Fucking idiots, figures"—and move on. Mental game's saint-level now.
Why am I a Chaeyu fan?
Back in bed, Kaelin reflected. Why soccer? Why Chaeyu? Upper class, soccer's lowbrow origins drew snobbery. But culture's cash flow unbeatable. Can't stop it—trying backfires.
Without it, it'd be worse.
Her education dismissed it as pleb trash. Yet noble owners everywhere—only stuffy royals hated it. She soured on it... till Gallery.
Random login changed everything. Sheltered, unknown knowledge + soccer's subtle addiction. Demon-born, like new drug.
Naturally cheered local Chaemes United, nic'd ChangguPrincess.
Sigh. Can't even go to games, pisses me off.
Politics. "Sports causing issues?" Kinda generational. Demons long-lived (less than elves), slow turnover—old brutal-era holdouts grip power. Glory-in-violence olds vs. sports-newbie youngs clash; nobles caught.
Soccer's top popularity politicizes it.
Why'd I do that... hated Chacity growing...
Surface: distant from soccer. Her policy: curbed Setan gold money. Dark elves buying top clubs annoyed her; bro rivalry bigger. Chamester City (third-division trash) gulped gold, rocketed—won world's biggest tourney last year. Chaeyu floundered. Pride crushed.
She spoke once.
Chaeyu fans' most hated poll 1. Medes family 2. Princess Kaelin
└Know Medes, but why Kaelin?
└She tightened takeover. Chaeyu could've slurped gold easy?
Like: Medes: Sellin' Chaeyu~ bargain!
Setan: Ooh we'll buy! Money!
Kaelin: Hell no! Policy smackdown!
Medes: Oops, hike price ㅎㅎ
Setan: Fuck, pass
└lolol gets it
└But Kaelin's point makes sense?
└Split opinions. Still Chaegu's mortal enemy lolol
└Kaelin hates soccer?
└No official stance, but probs
Infuriating. Loves Chaeyu/soccer truly. Unchained? Weekly games, hooligan riots. Instead, secret merch binges soothe. Matches boil rage tho.
Become Demon King, wear jersey openly.
Sports: Untouchable even for kings. Touch it, turn on people. Culture's terror/side-effect. Why other races hooked too.
Sports birthed magics—like broadcasts. Mephisto shifts from conquest to culture wins. Funny.
Whatever, just don't fuck up signings.
Kaelin sighed inwardly, pouting sadly. No regal princess—just a troubled Chaeyu fan.
Gallery best for this. Time till next match.
YasaengGrill... why'd this guy drop in Four Seasons Forest?
Usually Chaeyu/rants pre-game. Lately? YasaengGrill's posts shine amid human masses. Forest dropper. Didn't believe at first. But recs crushed others—hooked.
From another world? Bullshit.
Concept or psycho, intriguing. Bored till game, gave compass casually.
ChangguPrincess Then cheer Chaeyu~ That's enough~ Don't know world well, what's Chaeyu?
"What?!"
How not know famous Chaeyu? Rural ok, but Gallery user's no excuse. 90% users nuts—sports fans rottenest. Some enlightened to Buddha from rot.
"Don't know Chaeyu? Time to educate."
Preached glory, gifted jersey. Grill hesitant but took. She upped: special vids. Uploaded Chaeyu highlights (Gallery stores/imports).
Soon:
I'm Chaemes United fan from today. (thumbs-up to floor jersey pic)
Thx ChangguPrincess. No more clothes worry.
└Aah world is Chaeyu...
└Of all, Chaeyu lolol
└Solo anyway, who cares?
└Better than naked
└This is Chaemes United Gallery now
Satisfied. Very. Kaelin smiled proudly at Grill's post. +1 fan. Forest or not, fan's fan. Support freely ahead.
Fan dies, Chaeyu sad. Support hard so no die.
Sad fan = sad team = bad results. Simple fan logic.
Closing Gallery satisfied—till offending comment.
└KingLeor Why give that trash? Stinks
"..."
Brow furrowed. Knew nic: Chaeyu's arch-rival Leor fan. Her most-hated.
Basics: mocks Chaeyu as "Changgu." More nerve-grating too.
└ChangguPrincess back~? No life huh~
└KingLeor You sayin' we lose? We won
"Fuck."
Recent: Chaeyu lost 3-0 to Leor. Crushing. Fuel for taunts.
Used to mock Leor as head-mod...
10yrs ago, fallen royals. New coach revived. Chaeyu? Endless slide.
└ChangguPrincess ㅎㅎ Swap owners, we win~
└KingLeor Nah, Kaelin stays~
└lolol scraping nerves
└Kaelin after Medes lol
"..."
How so infuriating? Fist clenched, mana leaked—suppressed barely. Rage useless. Calmed.
└ChangguPrincess Frog forgets tadpole days, fits ㅎㅎ
└KingLeor Whatchu say Changgu-shit lol
└ChangguPrincess So dropped from Masters Cup? We at least in Challengers ㅎㅎ
└KingLeor Ur rank? Proud 7th!
└Tight race lolol
└Leor's more famous tho?
└Fuck what'd you say?
└Just facts lol
Random brawl erupts.
"...Better stay quiet af."
YasaengGrill watched silently. Wise.
