Reunion Aftermath (2)
“Hngggg!! Haa~~!”
“The air’s different here, the air!”
“I’m so tiiiired~~”
“Alright, everyone head home now. We’ll regroup at the dorm in two weeks. You all worked hard—call if anything comes up during break, got it?”
“Yesss!!!”
“Woohoo, woohoo! Let’s go, let’s go!”
“Mom! Where are you? I just landed at the airport.”
The members scattered excitedly for their vacation. Unlike them, heading to the cars, I slipped off toward the bathroom. No need to bother with a ride.
The airport bathroom was packed, as expected, but that didn’t matter for using my item. I ducked into a stall and activated Spatial Movement right away.
When I opened my eyes, there was Jua noona’s house! I punched in the code and stepped inside.
“Taeyanggg~~~ Daddy’s hooome!!!!!”
Waaahhh!!!
Taeyang’s welcoming wail hit me! Sure, I might get smacked for making him cry, but I was too thrilled to be home to care.
“Haesol!”
Jeonghwa-ssi was home alone.
“Jeonghwa-ssi!!!”
“You said you’d be here today, but already…? Mmph!”
I pulled her into my arms in one swift motion and planted a deep kiss on her lips.
“Ngh, wait… mm, smack, smack! Mmph!”
“Haa, I missed you so much. Chup, chup, smack!”
I devoured her lips hungrily.
“Hng?”
Taeyang, nestled in her arms, poked my chest with his tiny fists, eyes still wet from crying.
Daddy’s in the middle of a reunion, so cut me some slack, Taeyang! If you’re my son, you get that this moment’s sacred—no interruptions!
I pleaded man-to-man while sucking eagerly on her tongue. Jeonghwa-ssi kept trying to pull away because of Taeyang, so I grabbed her face with both hands to hold her steady.
I really thought it was just because of Taeyang. Big mistake.
“...What the hell are you two doing?”
“!!!”
“!!!”
My heart dropped. The voice from behind froze us solid. We broke the kiss and turned—Jua noona stood there, jaw on the floor.
She hadn’t been out. Just a quick bathroom break. Which meant I was screwed.
? ? ?
First things first: drop to my knees.
Taeyang gazed innocently at his daddy from Jua noona’s lap.
Sorry, Taeyang! Daddy’s showing his ugly side after so long apart.
He’d grown even more in the short time I’d been gone, reaching for me with those big, sparkling eyes. I wanted to grab his hand, but the vibe was not right.
“So you two were sneaking around behind my back?”
“...Sorry. My fault.”
“Back when I was pregnant with Taeyang, I couldn’t satisfy you properly, huh? Ha! Nothing to say to that.”
“Jua.”
“Shut your mouth, Mom. Don’t say a word. I don’t wanna hear it.”
Even after I admitted to giving in to lust and touching Jeonghwa-ssi, Jua noona didn’t snap at me. All her rage zeroed in on her mom instead.
What surprised me was Jeonghwa-ssi’s calm reaction—she’d clearly anticipated this. I wasn’t getting chewed out, but my heart was still in my throat, like sitting next to a ticking bomb. Maybe it’d be better if it just exploded already.
“Mom’ll explain everything. Or rather, I’d like her to.”
“Shut up!! I don’t wanna hear your voice!”
“You should still hear her out. Haesol, mind giving us space?”
“No! I’m staying.”
“If you’re here, Jua can’t vent. Trust me and let me handle it?”
“Ha! What’re you doing right in front of me, Mom? First stabbing me in the back, now you’re really trying to steal him? What if I hadn’t put Taeyang on my family register? You’d have taken my son and my husband?”
“!!”
Harsh words. I’d braced for hell breaking loose if Jua noona caught us post-sex. Prepared to eat shit for it. But this? Not even on my radar. I figured I’d be the punching bag.
But noona wasn’t mad at me. That drove me nuts. I’d geared up for a knee-grinding apology marathon!
This is insane. Yell at me instead! Please!
Noona didn’t resent me—she was glaring daggers at Jeonghwa-ssi. If those two drifted apart now, it’d be a disaster. The blame needed to land on me, not her. And yeah, dodging the curses didn’t erase my guilt.
Why aren’t you mad at me? Normally, all the hate should come my way!
She must’ve been disappointed, furious. Catching me with a stranger would’ve pissed her off, but her own mom? No way I’d let them hash it out alone.
I had to take the hits, the blame—all of it.
“Sorry, noona. I know an apology won’t fix your hurt, but I mean it from the bottom of my heart. I don’t think you two can sort this without me. Don’t cut me out of my own mess. I’m the one who screwed up, and I can’t just watch it wreck your relationship.”
“Can’t you just stay quiet for now? I’m holding back because I don’t wanna say nasty shit to you!”
“I deserve it. Let me have it. What’re you worried about? Say whatever.”
“......”
“I’m your husband, noona. Yell, hit me—whatever. I fucked up, so punishment’s fair.”
“Women get shit for yelling at men.”
That damn gender-reversed world again? Women can’t even get mad at guys who wrong them? Bullshit—this wasn’t about gender!
“Anyone hearing this would side with you. Who’d dare trash you? Point ’em out, I’ll tell ’em to fuck off. So unload on me. All of it.”
“Hoo, you perv? Why beg the one holding back to curse you out?”
“I know I’m wrong, and I wanna earn your forgiveness.”
Honestly, in this mess, getting reamed would hurt less.
“Hoo, hoo.”
Jua noona’s face flushed as she forced deep breaths. Looked like her blood pressure was spiking. What if she collapsed? My gut twisted.
“...My head hurts. Part of me wants you both gone, but then you’d be alone together. Can’t stomach that—so you stay, Haesol. Mom, you go.”
I’d rolled out the red carpet for her rage, but noona never raised her voice once. Instead, she needed space to think and booted Jeonghwa-ssi out. Her mom grabbed her wallet and left without protest.
I worried, but couldn’t show it in front of noona.
Once Jeonghwa-ssi was gone, Jua noona collapsed onto the bed like her strings were cut.
Now what do I do?
Taeyang tried charming her out of her funk with baby aegyo, but noona’s face was a barren desert—no smile in sight. I debated leaving her be, but decided sticking close—even if hated—was better. I lay gently behind her.
“You jerk.”
She sensed me and spat the insult right away.
Yes! Keep cursing me! Worse is fine!
I’d take it all, so I nodded eagerly. Honestly, her “jerk” in this mess was kinda cute and pitiful. She could’ve gone full sailor-mouth.
I figured she’d yank out a fistful of my hair at least. How’s ‘jerk’ the worst she’s got? Damn, I feel even worse.
No anger meant bigger guilt.
“Don’t cry, noona.”
“I’m not. Why would I? Hmph!”
She’d burrowed under the covers head-to-toe—I thought she was sobbing, but her voice said otherwise. After a long silence, she spoke up.
“...Did Mom enjoy it a lot?”
“Huh?”
Enjoy it? I didn’t catch her drift, couldn’t answer quick.
“He’s my dad, but honestly, he’s a catch. Smart, handsome. College prof—what’d you expect? Great personality too, super fun. But Mom? Pretty, sure, but that was it. Had me young, couldn’t do much raising me. And with all those amazing women around, she couldn’t hold him long.”
“......”
“Still, Mom played first wife like a champ. Kept the growing harem from clawing each other’s eyes out—managed the pecking order. Dad knew, always told me she was the comfiest. But comfy ain’t love.”
“...Yeah. ‘Love’ beats ‘comfy’ any day.”
“Yeah, but he never said it. Not once. Spilled it easy to the others. Great guy, shitty husband. Total asshole!”
Marriage means lifelong commitment. Her dad broke that promise. Too great to grasp the dumped ones’ pain, she said.
“Not big-hearted enough. Can’t love multiple women equally. Burns hot, then cools fast—moves on. Left women just waiting for him to come back.”
Most guys here were like that, apparently. Women throw themselves at a gesture. Easy to play, easy to drop.
“Mom endured it all, quietly. Reunited him with the dumped ones, talked the lonely into amicable splits. Raised me, cared for his exes—gave her whole life.”
“...I see.”
“Can’t accept it yet. But I probably won’t fight forever. I saw how she lived. Mom’s pitiful, honestly. I pity her. Can’t grasp why she went after my man, but you’d make her happy. That’s true too.”
“......”
“I trust the guy I chose.”
“Thanks, noona.”
“Hmph, whatever.”
I slipped an arm around her waist. She flinched a bit but didn’t push me away. Good sign.
“...Knew something like this might happen someday. Thought I’d handle it, having seen Mom’s life. But nope—total mess. How could I guess it’d be her?”
Noona had prepped mentally for me bringing home another woman. News to me.
“You’re too good for just one.”
“Promise. I’ll never leave you lonely.”
“Smooth talker. Jerk!”
She spun around, burrowing into my chest. Forehead against me, she sighed softly, then sniffed my scent.
“Haesol smell.”
“I stink?”
“Not bad. Good smell. Sniff sniff—this chest, you have no idea how much I missed it.”
“Missed you tons and tons!”
“Missed me, huh? Straight to Mom soon as you’re back? While I was in the bathroom!! So unfair, driving me crazy.”
Ugh! Foot-in-mouth. I clammed up, guilty.
Noona sat up awkwardly, grabbed my face with both hands.
“Gonna disinfect that Mom kiss now. Not ’cause I’m over it—gotta make it clear. Got it?”
“...Yup.”
Our talk must’ve replayed the scene in her head. I nodded meekly, and she lunged, devouring my lips like a starving beast.
