Lee Jia Reviews Lee Jia, Curated by Lee Jia - 1
This isn't just an ordinary broadcast; it's a promotional broadcast.
Actually, even calling it a "promotional broadcast" is inaccurate. It’s an update preview collaboration broadcast, which is dozens, no, hundreds of times more important than a simple homework stream.
Sure, it would have been much safer to hold the update preview on the official Abnormal Hunters channel, but as you can tell from the game's philosophy, the developers of Abnormal Hunters love taking risks.
I mean, even if it is a collaboration, what kind of company entrusts an important broadcast like an update preview to a Vtuber?
Well, I have to admit, it’s a fresh and entertaining way to do a preview. It was a method only possible because I’m a "Vtuber" who runs a personal broadcast. I accepted it readily because there were definitely benefits for my stream as well.
The format is even free-form. They told me to do whatever the hell I want.
Internet broadcasting certainly has the charm of an unrefined, raw flavor that you don't get on public television. I like all of it. I like that they accommodated my convenience, and I like that it’s not a boring broadcast where I just read off a script.
But I don't like the damn concept.
I didn't even need to look at the second skill or the active skill to know what they were. "Fervent Follower of the Shining Stars - Lee Jia" was a character who exerted power using her divine power pouch as a medium.
Whose head did this disgustingly creative and disgustingly lewd idea come from? Did they hire every single connoisseur in South Korea to brainstorm until this concept was born?
N-not that I think this insane character is lewd or anything…
No, wait. Let’s be honest with my feelings. Yeah, the idea is so mind-blowing that it makes me want to gasp. Exerting power using a divine power pouch as a medium! If I were the male "Lee Jia" from a few months ago, I’d definitely be drooling over this concept.
But I’m not a man. I’m a woman. And this character is a spitting image of me, no one else. Maybe that’s why I feel so unsettled every time I see the in-game modeling and the excessive skill concepts.
…This, too, is a curse from the Shining Stars. Yes, a curse, not a blessing. Ugh, damn you, God. Why on earth did you have to make the avatar look exactly like my real face and make me feel this unsettled…
Thud!
"Oof."
Thud!
"Ugh…"
Thud!
"Jiaaaaaaah!"
…In the end, I couldn't hold back and let out a blasphemy. If I could endure this, I wouldn't be human, I’d be a stone Buddha.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
"Jiaaaaaaah!"
Ah, damn. A stone Buddha. I mentioned another god. Too strict, seriously.
Anyway. Since this is an update preview collaboration broadcast, I can't just abandon it halfway through because I don't want to do it. Damn, it’s been over an hour since the collaboration started, and I haven't even reviewed half of this character, Lee Jia. I still have a mountain of things to do. I must have spent too much time with Park Sihyeon.
"I-I’ll review the second skill now."
Thinking I should just hurry up and finish, I immediately used the second skill. B-slot active skill: Prayer of Radiance. As I activated the skill, a cutscene appeared, just like the A-skill.
Lee Jia, the character with pink hair and a notably large divine power pouch, clasped her hands together at her chest.
["Oh, Almighty Shining Stars, please look down upon these little lambs…!"]
Looking only at the lines, it was a beautiful scene of a holy saint praying to God. …If you only look at the lines, that is.
This time, too, the SSR-grade character Lee Jia pulled power from her divine power pouch and radiated brilliant light to her surroundings. As the light poured out, Lee Jia blushed and said:
["Eek… i-it tickles…!"]
What tickles, you crazy woman?
"Haa…"
I didn't really like the animations for the A and B skills, but the full-gauge active skill—the ultimate—should at least be watchable. I haven't seen it yet, but it should be fine. Price of Blasphemy looks ridiculous to others, but it doesn't feel lewd or vulgar like the A or B skills. It’s just slamming my head, right?
I proceeded to activate the full-gauge active skill without much tension. A cutscene appeared. As expected of an ultimate, the quality of the animation was different. The camera angle dynamically panned from the feet to the chest of the SSR character Lee Jia. Then, Lee Jia let out a cute sigh.
["Sigh."]
…I’m not trying to say I’m cute myself. It was a genuinely cute expression and a cute tone.
["The Shining Stars… are not God!"]
As soon as she finished the line, a beam of light descended from the dark clouds in the sky. And that light was injected into Lee Jia’s divine power medium, the divine power pouch.
["Eek."]
Lee Jia blushed. Looking at her expression, I couldn't tell if she liked it or hated it.
No, damn it, Price of Blasphemy isn't supposed to be activated like this. This is a historical error!
Soon, Lee Jia, carrying the filled divine power, ran toward something presumed to be an anomaly. And then:
["Jiaaaaaaah!"]
She slammed her head.
As she slammed her head, the earth split. Price of Blasphemy is powerful, but not enough to split the earth… No, setting aside the power, why is the composition like that? Lee Jia was in a perfect dogeza position. Where in the world does someone slam their head like that? …Is it because she’s not human that she slams her head like that?
The dogeza position is fine, but why is her skirt flipped up wide open again? Fortunately, because of the full light, you can only see the silhouette. But seeing only the silhouette makes it look even weirder.
"Damn it!"
In the end, I couldn't hold back and cursed. Honestly, I think she’s kept the line for an Awakened in Abnormal Hunters. It was just portrayed subtly with "holy light," and unlike other characters in Abnormal Hunters, she didn't have chest exposure or panty exposure.
In terms of rating, I think it’s probably the lowest among all the characters in Abnormal Hunters. …However. The problem was that she looked exactly like me, and the problem was that the real me would never act like that. Exerting power using a divine power pouch as a medium? There’s no way that’s possible in reality.
"…"
N-not that I’ve tried it, though… Anyway, it wouldn't work. There’s no way it would. I’m just a Fervent Follower with no attack abilities.
Anyway, the skill review ended, and the chat window started filling up with requests to see the full limit break animation.
The light covering the screen disappears when you full limit break? No way, that can't be true. But I had a feeling that these crazy developers might have actually put in an animation like that. I don't think I can tolerate that. If they really made it like that, I’ll protest to the developers as soon as the broadcast ends and have the full limit break animation changed.
"The full limit break animation is…"
In that sense, "You guys can check it out yourselves."
I don't think I should show the full limit break animation right now. If nothing else, I need to personally inspect the full limit break animation myself. "If you want to see it, spend some money after the official version is released!"
Inducing spending was just a bonus.
