Chapter Title: Leaving the Small Town and Heading to Fairy Tail
-------------------------------------
After Erza played with her magnetic ability for a while, everyone started that night’s dinner.
After a while, when everyone was almost done eating, Evan looked at Irene and spoke softly.
"The timing’s about right. I think that it’s time for us to leave this small town."
"Eh? We’re leaving?"
Erza didn't seem to want to leave this place very much. After all, this was the place where she grew up.
Evan gently stroked her small head and said.
"How about going with your big brother to a place where you can meet many friends of the same age?"
"Many friends of the same age? Alright!"
Erza thought for a moment and nodded heavily.
Seeing that he had persuaded the little girl, Evan looked at Irene again.
"Alright, I understand!"
The latter wore a smile and nodded gently. She supported all of Evan's decisions.
Irene also didn't ask much else, because she believed in her baby boy from the bottom of her heart. She knew that if Evan wanted to leave, he definitely had his reasons.
A few days passed...
Taking advantage of the time before dawn, Evan, Irene, and the others packed their bags and appeared at the edge of the small town.
In front of the carriage...
Evan looked at the small town behind him for a long time before finally retracting his gaze. He got on the carriage, and with Ian and Eden driving in front, they headed toward the distance.
Their destination this time was the Kingdom of Fiore, a permanently neutral country with a population of 17 million, and at the same time, the kingdom with the strongest mages on the entire Ishgar Continent.
And the place Evan and the others were going to this time was naturally the mage guild located in the Kingdom of Fiore's town of Magnolia— Fairy Tail!
On the carriage, Erza was getting drowsy. Ilya, who was wearing a black maid outfit, sat beside her, covering the little girl back up with the blanket she kicked off from time to time.
Irene, on the other hand, held a book in her hands, continuously flipping through it. This book was a comprehensive introduction to the mage guilds of the Ishgar Continent. Although she had lived on this continent for a full four hundred years, she spent most of her time living in seclusion in the mountains, so she wasn’t too familiar with the existing factions of the current era.
Evan first stared at Irene for a while, and then, after confirming that the latter wasn’t getting motion sickness, he closed his eyes to rest, adjusting his own condition.
Yes, after seeing that Irene could flip through books while being inside a vehicle like a normal person, Evan confirmed one thing!
The defect caused by the difference between dragon and human organs after Irene became a Dragon Slayer had been patched up by his Human-Human Fruit.
As the sky gradually brightened...
The small town where Evan and the others had originally lived gradually regained human activity. One by one, the ordinary town residents opened their front doors, preparing to start another day in their lives, and then they saw a basket of bread placed at their doorsteps along with an exquisitely crafted letter.
The content of the letter was very short, merely briefly thanking the townspeople for their care over the years.
"No way?!"
When the townspeople, after looking at the letters in their hands, jogged all the way to the front of the bakery, they found that the building was empty. Irene's family had evidently already left.
"They left, huh?"
John from next door to the bakery looked at the already empty shop with a complex expression.
"What? Are you sad?"
Someone looked at John's appearance and teased.
"I'm alright..."
John shook his head. In fact, over these years, he had long since given up on pursuing Irene.
Ten years of time had spared the latter, but it hadn't spared him. Over the years, countless wrinkles had appeared on his face, some white hair had appeared on his head, and his skin had also been roasted red and black due to him frequently forging iron...
But this ten years of time seemed to have forgotten Irene, not manifesting on her body in the slightest. Irene was still that Irene, as beautiful as a scarlet rose, a flower that would never wither.
John had long guessed that her family wasn’t an ordinary one. For an ordinary person like him, it was best to just honestly live his own life well.
"Why don't we just preserve this bakery? If Irene and the others come back, they'll still have a place to stay. What does everyone think?"
Just as the crowd was whispering and discussing animatedly, the town mayor, who had a grizzled beard and held a walking stick, asked the crowd, seeking everyone's opinion.
"Sure!"
"This place isn't of much use anyway..."
"Yeah, yeah! Let's just preserve it!"
"If Irene, Evan, and Erza come back in the future, how sad would they be if they had no place to live here?"
"Indeed! Indeed!"
"We still want to eat the bread Irene makes once more!"
Following the town mayor's proposal, the townspeople chimed in one after another, deciding on the preservation of the bakery named Scarlet Maiden.
The honest and simple townspeople looked forward to one day being able to eat the bread made by Irene again...
Time flowed...
One week later...
Under the tireless and continuous travel of the carriage enchanted with divine speed, the group finally arrived near the town of Magnolia.
Compared to the small town Evan and the others had lived in previously, the town of Magnolia was much more prosperous. The streets were bustling with an endless stream of carriages and horses. Rather than a small town, it was more like a massive city.
And located at the back of the town's center was the mage guild with a long history— Fairy Tail! It was the destination of Evan and the others' current journey...
The carriage drove all the way to the front of this guild named Fairy Tail before slowly coming to a stop.
"We've finally arrived…"
Evan observed the building with a long history before him, feeling quite emotional in his heart.
"Is it here?"
Irene got off the carriage and observed the mage guild in front of her. She didn't need to enter the guild. Just standing outside the door, she could instantly see through the entire guild.
"Oh~ There are two brats with slightly decent strength here~
There are also a few children with decent potential...
According to the current standards of this era, this guild is indeed not bad."
Standing outside the door, Irene gave a brief evaluation of the guild in front of her.
At the same time...
Two people who were originally sitting and drinking near the bar counter in the deepest part of the guild suddenly paused. As if they had sensed something, they stopped their actions.
"Gildarts, did you feel that?"
On the old bar counter, a short little old man wearing what looked like a circus performance outfit asked the mage sitting beside him who had originally been hitting on the barmaid of the guild. The mage had short brownish-red, or rather, orange-red hair, and an incomparably sturdy build.
"Mm! Truly incredible people have come, Master!"
The mage named Gildarts put down the beer mug in his hand and looked in the direction of the guild's front door.
The next second...
The wooden doors of the guild were pushed open by someone...
The first to walk in were two cute children, one boy and one girl. Closely following them was a beautiful woman wearing casual clothes. Whether it was her face or her figure, the woman fit the unanimous preferences of the vast majority of men. And then, there was one wearing a maid outfit, one wearing a chef outfit, and one wearing a warrior outfit— three very cute girls.
Those three girls obviously followed the lead of the woman in front. It was very clear that they were servants or retainers of the woman.

T/N - Finally, the MC’s family has arrived in Fairy Tail. The MC can finally gain funds again. And there should be an exciting fight coming in the next few chapters if my memory is right.
Also, I found it quite sweet that the small town decided to preserve Irene’s bakery. I do hope the MC and the others return to it one day.
Lastly, I found the author using the Human Fruit to solve Irene’s motion sickness on vehicles brilliant. I hope it plays an important role later on. Wouldn’t it be funny if she drags Acnologia on a vehicle and she just beats the ever living shit out of him while he dry-heaves?
