Salion Goes to Earth
The next day, Liria took Salion and Silvia with her through spatial movement to the cafe on Earth.
Salion had been looking forward to this moment more than anything. He had imagined stepping onto the streets of Earth and experiencing its wonders firsthand.
But when they arrived, Liria moved straight inside the cafe without a moment's hesitation.
“Liria, Silvia-nim, please come quickly.”
“Welcome.”
“Welcome.”
“Yes.”
“It is a pleasure to meet you.”
Kim Gayoung and her companions greeted them warmly, and Salion finally understood why they had only heard about these “first employees on Earth” in stories.
When Kim Gayoung's group first laid eyes on Salion, their surprise was impossible to hide. He was tall, strikingly handsome, and possessed a body that turned heads with effortless grace. His red hair only enhanced his appeal, making him look as if he had been crafted for this very world.
“Who are you?”
“Ah, this is Salion.”
“Ah, hello.”
“Hello.”
“Hello.”
Only then did they realize his true identity. The cool, dragon-like aura radiating from him, combined with his striking red hair, left no doubt. He was unmistakably a Red Dragon.
Salion was a being whose fierce nature was legendary. Silvia had confirmed it herself. Yet here he stood before them, and they found themselves suddenly on edge.
“It is an honor to meet you. I am Salion.”
His voice was surprisingly gentle, nothing like the wild image they had expected. Red Dragons were supposed to be hot-tempered, after all. The girls exchanged glances, doubts lingering, but none dared to voice their questions.
Even Park Dahye, who was usually so sociable, found it difficult to approach Salion with her usual warmth. Seeing such an undeniably handsome man up close made her heart race.
“Indeed, Earth has very little mana.”
“That is correct. That is why Liria faced such danger when she first arrived.”
“You helped Liria, then?”
Salion nodded as he observed them. There was a reason for his high regard toward these women. Without their assistance, he had heard that Liria would have struggled greatly to return to Selenia.
“No, it is we who should thank you. We received far more help from Liria than we gave.”
“That is right. We only provided a place to rest and food.”
“I met you all thanks to my sisters, and it was only right that I brought cake as well.”
They had no idea how perilous the situation had been for Liria on Earth. Without their meeting, she would have faced the challenges alone. Of course, she might have encountered another kind-hearted person with blue hair, but thanks to them, her first business venture had gone smoothly.
It was only natural to feel deep gratitude toward those who had helped Liria so kindly and even assisted with her business.
After some time, Na Sujeong entered the cafe. The moment she saw the red-haired Salion, she was startled. The mysterious man with striking red hair in the newly opened establishment could only be the Red Dragon she had heard about from Silvia.
“Hello.”
“Are you also an employee?”
When Na Sujeong greeted Liria's group, Salion understood she was part of the staff as well.
Na Sujeong explained that she worked as a YouTube editor.
“I am a YouTube editor.”
“YouTube?”
“Yes. A platform where you can upload videos or conduct live broadcasts.”
Salion's curiosity about YouTube grew. Earth truly was full of strange and wonderful things. Just yesterday, he had experienced an entire new world through games. Now he believed YouTube would offer even more excitement.
“YouTube allows you to upload videos or go live. We broadcast as well.”
“As expected, Earth is full of strange wonders.”
“I will show you directly.”
Silvia turned on YouTube with her smartphone and searched for Liria's channel. Since they had heard the videos were edited and uploaded by Na Sujeong, they could confirm they were already live.
There were numerous eating videos on YouTube, each with many comments.
“If you upload videos like this, people around the world can watch them in any environment with internet access.”
“Oh, how amazing.”
“The internet connects people around the world in real time.”
Salion became fascinated by the concept of the internet. Especially the YouTube channel where Liria's videos were posted. The moment he saw the smartphone, he wanted one for himself.
Through Silvia, he learned that smartphones offered countless functions—games, cameras, video recording, and more. Silvia had once boasted about receiving a smartphone as a gift on Earth, and she had promised that everyone would eventually be able to purchase one.
“I want to buy one someday too.”
“Just wait a little longer. You will be able to buy it soon.”
“I see.”
“But what is Liria holding?”
“This is Iris. I brought her with me from the adventure.”
“Ah, I see. Liria mentioned becoming an adventurer.”
Park Dahye, who had been watching Iris in Liria's arms, remembered Liria's words about becoming an adventurer. The creature appeared to be a monster she had brought from the adventure, yet she was incredibly cute. Iris was so obedient in Liria's embrace, blinking and gazing at them with such charm that the girls wanted to hug her.
“How did you meet Iris?”
Silvia recounted the story of meeting Iris during the adventure in Liria's place.
The girls were astonished that Liria had defeated an ogre. They felt a pang of sadness knowing Iris had lost her mother.
Na Sujeong remembered recommending cameras for adventurer filming.
“You mentioned filming adventurer work.”
“Of course, I did.”
“If you broadcast that video, it will definitely become a huge hit.”
“Yes.”
If they broadcast the adventures from another world live and uploaded them to YouTube, it would be an incredible video. Becoming a YouTuber with hundreds of millions or even tens of millions of subscribers was only a matter of time.
“Liria, you do not wish to become the most famous YouTuber in the world?”
“I am not certain yet.”
“How many subscribers does the world number one have?”
“I believe it is around 300 million. We have already surpassed that.”
Silvia was stunned by the figure. Even summing up the entire population of Selenia would not reach 300 million.
“How many humans are there on Earth?”
“I think over 8 billion.”
“Earth truly has many humans.”
“Yes, very many.”
Na Sujeong had no choice but to agree with Silvia's assessment. Only a hundred years ago, the population had been less than a quarter of today's numbers, yet it had exploded at some point. This growth had led to serious environmental destruction and rising temperatures on Earth.
“Are you conducting an internet broadcast today as well?”
“I must.”
“An internet broadcast.”
Salion became intrigued by the idea of internet broadcasts. He had heard that real-time communication with people around the world was possible.
Silvia sat on the sofa and turned on her laptop, while Liria and Salion sat beside her. Business hours were approaching, and Kim Gayoung's group immediately resumed operations.
Salion watched as customers entered and left, purchasing coffee. He realized that Eleas Coffee must be quite popular even on Earth.
“Oh, there's an elf girl.”
“Oh, she's really cute.”
“But what is that white fluffy thing?”
The customers pointed at Iris resting on Liria's lap. Upon closer inspection, she had the appearance of a fox-cat hybrid and looked incredibly adorable.
“That little animal is cute too, isn't she?”
“Indeed.”
Salion realized that Earthlings felt the same cuteness toward Liria. She was a lovable child who made everyone smile just by looking at her.
“As expected, Liria is popular with Earthlings too.”
“Of course.”
When customers entered the cafe, they were startled by the tall, handsome, and well-built Salion sitting nearby.
“Wow, that red-haired guy is hot?”
“Seriously, he's handsome.”
“Who is he?”
“I don't know? Probably not an employee.”
Seeing Salion seated around Liria and Silvia, the customers began to question them.
The Elf Cafe concept sounded like something from a fantasy novel, and Silvia guessed it might be a Red Dragon since she was a Silver Dragon.
“Ah, a Red Dragon.”
“Why?”
“Because of the red hair. When you polymorph, the hair color changes to match the attribute.”
“Ah, so Silvia-nim has silver hair because she is a Silver Dragon.”
“Correct.”
It was a reasonable guess for anyone who had read fantasy novels featuring dragons.
Salion watched the customers as they speculated about his identity. When they correctly guessed that he was a Red Dragon, he felt impressed.
“Are there dragons on Earth too?”
“No, Earthlings create imaginary beings as works of fiction using their imagination.”
“I see.”
Salion thought Earthlings' imagination was truly remarkable. It was astonishing that they could imagine and create stories about beings they had never seen.
“Oh, from now on you are giving out coupons.”
“When you collect 100, it is 100% one cup, right?”
“Please take this as well.”
“Yes.”
“Yes.”
Customers who heard Park Dahye's words took the coupon ring as well.
Silvia entered YouTube and turned on the broadcast. Viewers began flooding in at an incredible rate.
Na Sujeong was amazed that so many people were tuning in at this hour. The impact shown on the previous broadcast had clearly been tremendous. Not only had they reclaimed the number one spot in cart racing, but the response speed had made it a trending topic.
Many still believed the response speed test was due to site errors or manipulation.
