The Virgin-Lover's Losing Streak
On the battlefield, countless things can happen in just a single second—no, a mere tenth of a second—creating endless variables.
I know this all too well.
Not that I've actually fought on a real battlefield, of course.
But at least in Legend of Fantasy...
When it comes to the variables that crop up on the battlefields of this game...
...I can proudly say I know them better than anyone. After all, I've easily dumped over ten thousand hours into it.
And so, my hands move.
I observe the enemy's movements.
I predict what will happen next.
I stay one step ahead of my opponent in everything.
"Phew..."
Having achieved all this, the sweet, satisfying fruit of victory was mine to claim.
I had secured a satisfying win in the very first match of my stream.
...They're finally looking my way.
They're finally focusing on my stream instead of fighting each other.
Admittedly, the viewer count had dropped compared to yesterday.
The stream, which had peaked at nearly five hundred viewers, had now dwindled to almost half that.
It made sense. Just because an inherently introverted, quiet person like me started streaming didn't mean I'd suddenly become a chatterbox.
Streamers are in the business of selling entertainment in exchange for people's time.
In a way, it was only natural for people to get bored and leave a stream where the host barely spoke and offered little entertainment.
Yet, nearly three hundred people were still watching me.
They stayed solely because I was good at the game.
That was why I had to focus even harder on the gameplay to entertain those who remained.
Since I wasn't good at talking and wasn't used to streaming yet, the only thing I could show them was my gameplay.
I could always work on my commentary and hosting skills later.
I just hadn't adapted yet.
I was still adjusting to the whole concept of streaming, which was why the words didn't flow easily.
Deceiving myself with those thoughts, I kept playing, letting out occasional sighs and weird gasps as I streamed.
...Or maybe they were just here because they wanted to hear my voice.
In any case, the important thing was...
...that I had gotten off to a great start.
Playing the attack damage carry position—which could easily become a liability for the team—I had hoarded kills from the early game, maintained the lead until the end, and carried the match with absolute dominance.
And then, acting like it was no big deal, I immediately queued up for the next match.
This was the dream playstyle for anyone who had ever played this game.
Furthermore, the character I carried with wasn't some muscular male character who did nothing but scream at the top of his lungs. It was an elegant, beautiful female character with a supple, dancing body, a subtle sensuality, stunning looks, and a voluptuous chest. If you were born with a dick, it would be weird if your heart didn't skip a beat.
So, I could understand the chat's reaction.
I, too, had been captivated by this aesthetic, which was why I started playing this game and dedicated myself solely to female characters—specifically, virgin characters.
...Though I never expected the balance to get this trash.
Is it really a balanced game when you get flamed just for picking a female character?
Sigh.
Anyway, today was off to a good start.
For some reason, I felt like I was playing much better than usual. Ever since my body changed, the opponent's animations and movements, which used to look blurry, were now crystal clear.
I could react to and dodge every single skill.
It felt like the wall I had been hitting was suddenly demolished, far beyond just having a good day.
Playing this match, it hit me.
Ah, this body was made for gaming.
And so, my confidence soared.
I was already good at the game, and now the physical limits that had blocked me were shattered.
I was certain I could reach my peak rating this season.
So, as I took down the enemy in front of me, I spoke confidently into the mic.
"I'm definitely hitting Demigod today."
"..."
Oh, for fuck's sake.
...Seriously, how is there not a single person comforting me?
I just went on a twelve-game losing streak, and out of all these people, not one is offering any comfort...
Wah, I'm fragile. Praise me, comfort me. I'm practically dead inside from this losing streak.
