As Long as You Satisfy Me, These Are All Yours
“Ah!!!!”
Watching Chen Kun writhing on the ground in agony, Xiao Yi stepped forward in disgust and stomped his foot down on the man's mouth. “Shut the fuck up already,” he snapped impatiently. “Keep screaming, and I’ll hack your head off too!”
The excruciating pain tore through Chen Kun like knives, but in the face of this demon before him, he bit back his cries. Beads of sweat poured from his forehead.
Xiao Yi smirked in satisfaction and turned his gaze to the other students. “Anyone else wanna try stealing my food and water?”
Those his eyes fell upon shrank back in terror.
Tang Ning Ning cracked her eyes open just a sliver, stealing a glance at Xiao Yi’s domineering figure. Far from seeing him as some monster, she thought he looked more like a hero than ever.
“Xiao Yi! Don’t be mad!” Du Zhi Ming forced a fawning smile onto his face. “We’re all classmates, all friends here. Cool off for a sec! It’s the end times—maybe we’re the only ones left alive at this school. We can’t go killing each other! Xiao Yi, how about this: from now on, we all listen to you. You divvy up the food, and I’ll back you up. Hell, I’ll even be your assistant—teacher or not, I don’t mind the demotion...”
“Don’t need it.”
Xiao Yi didn’t even glance at the groveling dean. “Do whatever the fuck you want. Whether you live or die? Not my problem. I’m leaving this shithole soon anyway. I only came back to grab the few people worth saving. But after today’s bullshit, you’ve all disappointed me. Only Tang Ning Ning’s worth taking. The rest of you? Fuck off.”
“Xiao Yi! Chen Kun forced us into it—I’ve always been on your side!” one decent-looking girl blurted out, hesitating before stepping forward with a pleading look. “You saved us all back then, or we’d be zombie chow. And now you’re back with food and water—you’re a real hero, a great guy! Xiao Yi, I’ll go with you. Save me, and I’ll do anything you want.”
Tang Ning Ning shot the girl a look of disgust and sidled up to Xiao Yi. “Don’t buy it,” she whispered. “After they chased you out, she was the worst one badmouthing you. And get this—she’s been sneaking off with Du Zhi Ming at night for ‘special treatment.’ Everyone’s seen it. Gross.”
“Get lost,” Xiao Yi growled at the girl.
A woman like that—with her looks and her filth—didn’t even register on his radar. He couldn’t be bothered to spare her another glance.
“Xiao Yi! What the hell do we have to do for you to help us?” Ling Xue Ya’s face was ashen, her body trembling uncontrollably, but she mustered her courage to ask.
Water had been scarce for over two months, leaving grime streaked across her once-snowy, delicate face in a messy patchwork. Even so, it couldn’t hide her stunning beauty.
Setting aside everything else, her figure and features alone made her top-tier.
Xiao Yi gave Ling Xue Ya a slow once-over, then glanced down at the now-unconscious Chen Kun. A cold laugh escaped him. “I heard you’re Chen Kun’s girl?”
Ling Xue Ya froze, then stammered, “I... I used to date him, yeah. But we were just boyfriend-girlfriend. I’m not his woman!”
“You’re not lying to me, are you?” Xiao Yi teased, his eyes mocking as he grinned at her. “I hate it when women lie.”
She nodded frantically. “I’m not! I’m not some slut!”
But then suspicion flickered in her eyes, and she eyed him warily. “Xiao Yi, why are you asking? Whether I’m his or not—how’s that got anything to do with you helping us?”
Innocent as ever, Tang Ning Ning had no clue why he was prying, but she chimed in anyway. “He’s right, though—Chen Kun’s obsessed with her. Does whatever she says. He’s begged to sleep with her a bunch of times lately, but she always turns him down. I don’t think she’s lying.”
Xiao Yi nodded, then fixed his gaze on Ling Xue Ya. “Weren’t you always looking down on me, you spoiled little country bumpkin? Didn’t you think I was dirt, a disgusting lowlife? So why the begging now?”
“But since the great school flower’s asking so nicely, I’ll take pity on you. I’ll share some food and water from my pack. If you earn it. Show me some sincerity. One hour. Impress me, and it’s yours.”
With that, he pulled out several bottles of mineral water, packs of beef jerky, and sausages from his backpack, setting them down leisurely on the ground beside him.
