This Is a Demon!
Under Chen Kun's encouragement, everyone began eyeing the backpack behind Xiao Yi with greedy intent.
Forget whether anyone would come to save them later—for now, at least, this Xiao Yi standing before them had plenty of food and water in hand!
The hope of the army rescuing them was slim indeed, but at least it was some hope.
What they desperately needed right this moment was the food and water in Xiao Yi's pack!
"If you don't wanna die, hand over the food and water!" Chen Kun advanced menacingly with two boys clutching spears, snarling his threat at Xiao Yi.
"And what if I don't?" Xiao Yi sneered back at Chen Kun, utterly dismissive of their intimidation.
With his current combat prowess, even a hundred Chen Kuns wouldn't faze him!
It wasn't just his superhuman physique—it was the ruthless killer instinct forged in the crucible of life and death!
"You're fucking dead!" Pushed to the brink by Xiao Yi's repeated provocations, Chen Kun swung his stick viciously at him.
From childhood on, no one had ever dared defy him like this! Especially not some penniless rural nobody he'd always despised!
His two lackeys raised their spears too, sneering at Xiao Yi with eyes brimming with menace.
"You clueless country bumpkin! You rural mutt—you're just a fucking moron! Don't you know your place, you piece of shit, talking back to Young Master Chen like that?" Ling Xue Ya sneered mockingly. "Kneel down now, hand over your shit, and slap yourself—we might just let you live!"
"Xiao Yi, don't be so ungrateful! We're telling you to share the food and water for your own good! Keep being selfish like this, and don't blame us for getting rough!" Du Zhi Ming adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses, puffing out his chest with false authority as he lectured Xiao Yi in self-righteous tones.
"Yeah, yeah! Xiao Yi, how can you be so selfish? Have you no humanity left? We're all classmates here—you found food, we let you in for shelter, so you owe it to share with everyone!"
"Right! No one should be that selfish! Hand over the food and water now!"
"It's the end of the world—we gotta help each other! How dare you hog it all? Be a decent human, I say—show some kindness!"
"Xiao Yi, know your limits and hand it over. Young Master Chen's giving you face by letting you do it yourself. Don't push it, or you'll lose everything and get a beating."
Several students hiding behind Chen Kun puffed up their chests, piling on the scolding with mouths full of lofty morals and grandstanding virtue!
Only Tang Ning Ning stood behind Xiao Yi, whispering angrily in a small voice: "Why didn't you call yourselves selfish when you kicked Xiao Yi out? He risked life and limb to bring back food—why the hell should he share it with you shameless bastards for free?!"
"Shut your fucking mouths! You want the food and water in my pack? Come take it yourselves!" Xiao Yi's face hardened to ice as their hypocritical, vomit-inducing bullshit grated on him. No more talk—in this apocalypse, only strength mattered!
Want his supplies? Earn them!
"Fuck you! Shameless prick—you're begging for it!" Chen Kun's face twisted in rage, swinging his stick arrogantly at Xiao Yi's skull with crushing force.
Chen Kun had trained in taekwondo since he was a kid, already a black belt. Against a pushover like Xiao Yi, victory was guaranteed!
"Nooo!" Tang Ning Ning shrieked, whipping her head away—she couldn't bear to witness the gruesome scene about to unfold.
Zhang Hua had crossed Chen Kun once; they'd beaten his left arm to pieces before Du Zhi Ming and the others exiled him to die. She knew Xiao Yi was staring down the same brutal fate.
She wanted to help him, but courage failed her—as did the strength.
After all, she was just a fragile girl. All she could do was pray silently for him.
"Idiot who doesn't know shit! Defying Young Master Chen—you're done for!" Ling Xue Ya snorted coldly, gazing disdainfully at the soon-to-be-struck Xiao Yi, inwardly reveling in his doom.
But just as Chen Kun's stick whistled toward Xiao Yi's forehead, a gleaming Sin Blade flashed into his grip. Smeared with gore and flecks of flesh, it looked utterly savage and horrifying.
Pfft! A streak of blade light—and Ling Xue Ya, mid-mockery, unleashed a terrified scream.
"Ahhh!!!" Chen Kun's agonized howl erupted next.
The arm clutching the stick thudded to the floor, blood erupting in a crimson spray.
The two lackeys behind Chen Kun, primed to pile on, got drenched head to toe in the hot gush.
Scalding blood blinded them; they wailed like souls possessed, collapsing in gut-wrenching shrieks.
Thump—they hit the ground ass-first, bodies quaking uncontrollably. Staring at Xiao Yi's demonic silhouette, piss pooled yellow in their crotches as they scrambled backward on kicking legs, desperate for distance from the monster.
They were just students—when had they witnessed carnage like this?
Sure, they'd scrapped at school, maybe waved sticks around for show. But a whole arm hacked off in a heartbeat over words? Unthinkable.
This wasn't human.
This was a demon!
Only now did it hit them: Xiao Yi had braved the zombie-choked hell outside and returned with supplies. How could someone like that be the harmless rube he seemed?
A man fearless against zombie hordes—why would he flinch from a pack of useless brats?
