Saving People? As If!
Xiao Yi frowned slightly, peering far into the source of the light.
A group of students was gathered at a distant window, waving frantically in his direction.
Above their heads, they held a large sign reading SOS.
Thanks to his enhanced physique, Xiao Yi's eyesight was exceptional now. From afar, he could make out several students inside—both men and women. The guys were decked out in basketball jerseys, while the girls wore sexy yoga outfits or dance skirts.
They must've been working out in the Sports Hall when the apocalypse hit.
"Figures and looks are top-notch, sure. But as a total shut-in, I fucking hate these musclehead basketball bros who strut around acting cool all day—and these pricks are handsome on top of it!" Xiao Yi muttered a curse under his breath, then turned away, showing zero interest in dealing with them.
"Weren't you all so badass before? Dunking basketballs, flexing nonstop. Now you're begging a deadbeat otaku like me for help? Go fuck yourselves and rot." He sneered coldly, flipping them the bird before striding down from the wall.
The path from here to the Sports Hall crawled with zombies. With his current strength, Xiao Yi wasn't guaranteed to hack through them. Risking his neck for total strangers? Not a chance in hell.
Sure, there were a few hot girls who looked promising, but they didn't spark even a flicker of interest in him.
Maybe once he was badass enough to bulldoze zombie hordes without breaking a sweat—he might consider a detour then. For now, though, Li Wan Ning and Shen Ting Ting hit the spot perfectly. Hauling back too many slaves at once? He'd be swamped.
"Shen Ting Ting, you stay here and keep watch. Li Wan Ning, come to the rest room." Xiao Yi beckoned her as he descended the wall, heading straight inside.
Li Wan Ning's cheeks flushed pink. She hurried after him obediently.
They'd spent the last few days in shameless bliss. Xiao Yi alternated between slaughtering zombies outside and letting the two beauties take turns serving him. Weirdly, as his physique strengthened, so did his prowess in that department. Even tag-teaming him now left them drained.
"About time to grab Ling Xue Ya and Tang Ning Ning," Xiao Yi sighed contentedly, lounging in a rattan chair under the sun while Shen Ting Ting pouted and kneaded his legs with grumpy vigor.
Meanwhile, Li Wan Ning hustled to bury the corpses. In this stretch, Xiao Yi had built two more Tombs. With all four running full tilt, his stats and End Coins were skyrocketing.
"System! Pull up my stats!"
"Body stats at national-level athlete territory now!" Xiao Yi stood, swinging his Sin Blade a few times.
No more strain wielding it. This beast of a blade actually felt perfectly balanced in his grip.
Ding! Zombie corpses burial complete!
+8 End Coins.
Junior Tomb cleared. Ready for next burial.
Xiao Yi frowned at the system's chime. Since yesterday, burying regular zombies only netted coins—no more stat boosts.
By his estimates, basic zombies topped out his physical stats at 80, their limit. Spirit-boosting ones were rare as hell, so it lingered at 65.
Regular zombies weren't cutting it anymore for growth. Time to hunt stronger corpses!
"Master! Quick, look! People at the Sports Hall are fighting zombies!" Shen Ting Ting pointed excitedly at the distant hall.
Xiao Yi blinked, glancing over. Sure enough, it was that same crew from before—five guys, three girls, armed with clubs or bats, clad in baseball jerseys. They synced up seamlessly, carving a path outward.
The leader was a beast, bulldozing ahead with the other four's backup. They cracked open the corridor fast.
They'd aimed downstairs, but the zombie swarm below forced them upward instead.
Retreating while fighting, they even snagged some supplies along the way.
"These guys are tough! Master, shouldn't we save them? They seem skilled—you could recruit 'em as helpers. Safer runs outside that way." Li Wan Ning suggested kindly.
Save them?
This idiot woman.
Xiao Yi knew he could bail them out with his current power. But why the fuck would he?
He wasn’t some bleeding-heart saint or a damn bodhisattva—he had no obligation to play the savior.
