Harem Server: Quizzes in the Wild
"Haha... Isn't this what they call being natural? That really got my heart racing just now."
My one comment had everyone flustered for about ten minutes, delaying the stream a bit, but Danbi unni finally pulled herself together and started wrapping things up.
"Alright, now that introductions are done, I'll slowly explain what we're doing today. I sent the server address to the group chat, so check it out."
Following her words, I confirmed the screen was covered and checked the server address in the Dascode group chat.
"Before we join the server, let me give a quick explanation. If it's okay, look at the stream screen for a sec."
I switched my screen to Danbi unni's stream as she smoothly handled the broadcast and waited quietly. Even though it was around lunchtime, the huge viewer count showed she really was from a big corp.
"Everyone in?"
"Yeah. Rie?"
"Ah, I'm in too!"
"Okay. It's nothing major, really..."
Danbi unni hesitated shyly as she spoke, then displayed a photo on the stream screen.
Danbi & Huran-i & Rie's "Get Closer!" Server

"So... I was actually planning to do pure survival, but suddenly my manager and editor said since it's been a while for a collab, we should do something like this... So I had no choice..."
Her voice stretched at the end of each sentence, sounding extremely embarrassed—like something new had been born in her. Plus, even back when I was a guy, I'd thought her face had top-tier quality, and seeing her shy expression now... Urgh.
"It's really nothing big... Just survival with some simple missions."
A cheesy sound effect played somewhere, and the photo flipped to the next one.
1. This is a survival server.
2. Every time the Pajijik party donations reach 100,000 won, the three of you will warp to a location.
3. Complete the specific mission there within 10 minutes to return to your original spot with a small reward.
"...We'll do survival like this, and the missions are easy ones picked by my manager, so don't worry too much."
After hearing Danbi unni's full explanation, I started getting a little excited. I'd thought it was just a plain survival collab, but with stuff like this, the stream would look way more fun, right?
Plus, it being party donations instead of personal ones showed how much Danbi unni cared about us. The one from the biggest corp would obviously take the hit otherwise.
"...A-Anyway, let's join the server quick!"
Danbi unni, maybe feeling awkward from our silence, quickly changed the subject and switched the stream to the game screen. Last time we played together, she seemed super sociable, but now she looked kinda asocial—it was a little cute. Maybe because she was around my age from before the change? But Huran-i unni was like that too; all the girls around me just seemed cute.
"Got it. Joining now."
"Me too, right now!"
I confirmed Danbi unni had launched Minecraft, then started the game and switched my screen.
Seeing the viewers going wild got me a bit hyped too.
I joined the server and gazed at the blocky landscapes, nostalgic memories flooding back.
"Whoa, it's been forever. Back in the day, there was that Ability War thing, right? We did stuff like that."
Lost in old memories, I closed my eyes and muttered. It was around 8th grade? After school, I'd rush home and join servers playing Himachi or whatever.
"What? How does Rie know about that? Wasn't it out when I was in middle school?"
Maybe I'd said something dumb while reminiscing—Danbi unni sounded surprised. Yeah, if she was in middle school then, I was probably in kindergarten or early elementary. No wonder she hadn't played.
"Ehehe! I saw it on YouTube! It popped up in Shorts! And I played it in elementary too!"
"Oh? You still play Minecraft? Thought you were all Roblox."
Relieved I'd dodged that, Huran-i unni joined the server.
"Whoa, this really brings back memories."
"Right?"
As the two got lost in nostalgia, I started hopping around. Just watching the blocky fist swing with each mouse click was fun—I could see why so many people still played this.
So, what now? Chop trees and hunt the dragon like old times? I figured I should head to the unnis first—right as I turned toward them.
A huge message and number popped up dead center on my screen.
"Huh?"
"What?"
"Unnis?"
Our confused voices overlapped as we instantly teleported somewhere shady. The three of us—me and the unnis—were trapped side by side, with what looked like an operator standing right in front.
Yojeng: Hello. I am the fairy who gives quizzes to you streamers and provides assistance.
"Fairy?"
"Oh, I see."
"...Khuph."
We and Huran-i unni responded awkwardly in turn, but Danbi unni was holding back laughter—probably because she knew it was her manager. Big corp managers even do this stuff...? If I went big corp, would Ul eonni...?
I glanced sideways at her. Hmm... She did kinda look like a fairy.
Yojeng: ...Anyway, I am the fairy. This is the Room of Common Knowledge. I'll give you questions in order, and you answer them. Order: Rie → Huran-i → Danbi.
You can discuss opinions with each other. But no telling the answer directly. Type the answer in chat within 1 minute. Type 'Yes' if confirmed.
Yojeng seemed a bit deflated, their chat coming slower. Feeling a little bad inside, I typed on my keyboard.
Right after my chat, Huran-i unni and Danbi unni's popped up together.
Yojeng: Good. First question to Rie.
Among Korea's five national holidays, what is October 3rd?
The question hit, and my mind went blank. October 3rd—of course I knew, but under pressure, it started slipping.
Five holidays? March 1st Independence Movement Day, Constitution Day, Liberation Day, Hangul Day, and... and what? The last one's gotta be it.
"W-Wait! I really know it!"
They'd probably blank too if it was them, but nah, they were ruthless since it wasn't their problem. So unfair.
"Argh, what is it? The day the heavens opened!"
"Rie! In Hanja, what you said exactly?"
Huran-i unni's hint lit a bulb in my head, and I frantically typed.
"Haa... That was close."
Back then, I'd thought missing stuff like this was dumb, but trying it myself? Totally different. I sighed in relief and stared at the chat for the next question.
Next question to Huran-i.
Shakespeare has four great tragedies. Name three.
"Hmm... Isn't this too easy?"
Huran-i unni muttered softly almost as soon as Yojeng posted and sent her answer. Made me look dumb by comparison...
Technically I was second-year too...
Yojeng: Correct. Last question to Danbi.
No time to sulk—Yojeng hit Danbi unni next. Please take longer than me, even a little.
Why does the moon appear bright?
"Uh... um. Well, you see."
Unni stalled hard, saying nothing. It wasn't like mine or Huran-i unni's—nothing deep to think about. No way...
"Unni, no way, right?"
"Unni, that's why it's bright even during the day."
"Ah!"
Thankfully, Huran-i unni's hint clicked for her—she sounded enlightened, keyboard clacking. Just blanked under pressure like me, not clueless... definitely.
"...What?"
"...Unni?"
Huran-i unni and I gawked at the chat in unison, dumbfounded.
"Hehe... Wrong?"
The chat looked familiar, but Huran-i unni and I were 100% braindead, speechless. Did she become airheaded from vtubing, or does vtubing make you airheaded? Kinda curious now.
Yojeng: ... Incorrect. Questions resume from Rie in 1 minute.
