Women Are Like Wine
I turned on the stream and chatted about this and that, and seeing the viewer count pile up faster than usual made my chest swell with pride. It was probably mostly thanks to the sisters—me starting first had given us that first-mover advantage, right?
"So, should we wrap up the cafe here?"
"No hardcore! Anyway, I'm hopping into Dascode quick. If the maknae doesn't go in first at a time like this, we're in trouble."
I quickly fired up Dascode and jumped into Room 3, the one we'd decided on before starting the stream.
Thankfully, the voice chat was empty—the sisters were probably still chatting with viewers.
"Looks like no one's here yet. Let's pick up where we left off—what were we on about?"
"Oh, right!"
I clapped my hands lightly, muted my mic, and spilled everything that had happened with Eternal Loop.
"So right after we switched to casual, Danbi unni was super into it. I felt kinda awkward at first, but seeing her so hyped? It was kinda cute, y'know? Anyway…."
Mid-story, I could feel Ul Eonni's sharp gaze from behind where she was managing chat on her laptop, but whenever I glanced back, she was just innocently staring at the screen.
"…and then I snagged the enemy ADC at the end for another first place! Kyaa, it was insane!"
Even closing my eyes and picturing it, middle and high school Seo Ha-yoon had been a total loner, but never rocked a mustache and red glasses. If anything, I'd turned down girls inviting me to hang out because of my sister most of the time.
"I was gonna prep a party outfit under my uniform for after graduation, but now should I just bring red glasses and a mustache?"
"Ehet…!"
If things had gone normal, I'd have been mid-20s like some viewers, but being younger now? It randomly made me feel great.
"I'm graduating soon, but some of you must've graduated ages ago, right?"
Watching viewers freak out felt oddly refreshing and fun. Always getting teased, but flipping it? No wonder streamers mess with chat sometimes. Still, can't overdo it. I'd seen a VTuber die on stream from back-and-forth roasting back in my Ju-ddak days….
"But our viewers are all fun, so age doesn't matter, right?"
"…Not fun, not fun."
I mindlessly typed in chat, grumbling along with the lame pun, and at perfect comedic timing, the sisters joined the voice chat. …Didn't something like this happen last time? Back then I could've dipped from embarrassment, but with the stream on? No escape.
"Kkhup…." "Keuk, kkhuk…." "Heuk, ahuk…."
Not just Huran-i unni and Danbi unni, but even Ul Eonni right behind me managing chat was stifling laughs—I wanted to die. How is the timing this artistic? If they'd just joined quieter, it'd have been fine.
"…Should we cancel the collab today?" "S-sorry… keuk. For real heuk…!" "Huran-i! Stop, khk… stop laughing! Kk…."
Ignoring the sisters and viewers cracking up every time I spoke, I turned to look at Ul Eonni. At least my sister….
"Keuuk… heuk…!"
I spotted her face-planted in the bed, desperately holding back laughs, and turned back to the screen.
The end stream button taunted me right there, whispering that one click would end the humiliation. But the viewer count below screamed not to. If I dragged it out till the embarrassment faded, at least a third would bail… All I could do was close my eyes and pray this moment passed quick.
"Hoo… haa, hoo… haa." "Sseuup…! Ha." "Heuk…. Heup!"
After holding their breaths and cracking up for ages, the three sisters finally calmed down.
"All laughed out?" "S-sorry. Our timing was awful, huh?" "Rie-ya, you were super cute though."
Seeing Ul Eonni check Danbi unni and Huran-i unni's chats react positively too? At least it was fun for them. Yeah… mission accomplished. My sacrifice brought the laughs.
"Ahem, let's do quick intros and run down today's plans."
Danbi unni cleared her throat smoothly and started explaining the schedule. As expected from the veteran—her experience shone through.
"Maknae first?" "Ah, yeah!"
I cleared my throat to match and tried to sound casual.
"Hi everyone! I'm Rie, debuted this year! Please take care of me in the collab today!"
My slight huff got a good reaction in my chat. Probably the same in theirs? Huran-i unni's viewers met me last time, so they'd like it, and Danbi unni's young fans would love the rare collab.
"Next, second maknae?" "Hi. I'm Huran-i, debuted around this time last year. Nice to meet you!"
I hadn't known Huran-i unni's debut date, but same January as me last year, huh.
"…Why's everyone saying their debut dates? Makes me look old."
Danbi unni's voice turned a bit glum.
"I'm Danbi, debuted 6 years ago…. Unlike Huran-i and Rie, I'm a bit old and wrinkly VTuber, but please take care of me."
Her timid tone had chat roasting Danbi unni. If my chat was like this, hers must be brutal. But she tanks it well—that's how she's streamed 6 years. So she can handle me teasing too, right?
"Danbi unni."
"Yeah?"
She replied tense, like she knew what was coming. Nothing major, but payback for laughing at me earlier? Gotta.
"They say women are like wine, right? So don't worry too much."
"What."
"Kkhup."
One line and Danbi unni shrieked silent; I heard Huran-i unni suck in a breath to stifle laughs.
Chat loved it—perfect revenge? But… is she okay? No Tistory wiki controversy page from this, right? Kinda regretting now.
"…B-but I like wine, so it's fine."
I added that feeling bad.
"What?" "Huh?"
Panicked voices from everyone but Danbi unni, and chat flooded with question marks. What? Did I mess up? Is this bad? Collab hasn't even started—huge disaster?
