As Always, I Will Win and Survive
The standoff between the highest-ranking mercenary lord gods of the Spirit Realm and the titled Creator Gods had reached a fever pitch. Yet the Magic God of Dimensions passed straight through the gap between them as if the chaos had nothing to do with him.
The highest-ranking mercenary lord gods flinched as his figure brushed past their backs. Their opponents’ attacks suddenly intensified, and naturally, the countless exchanges that had been unfolding until then all converged on the intruder who had barged in without warning.
“Hahahahahaha!”
Everyone—ally and enemy alike—felt a surge of bewildered emotion at the suicidal act of leaping into the most ferocious part of the battlefield.
Amid the torrent of attacks that could rip apart an ordinary Creator God in an instant, a mage’s incantation rang out.
"Who could possibly know me when I myself do not? No one shall ever know my true self."
⟨ Law of Magic: Evasion Series — Permanent Activation ⟩
Effect: It blocks all perception of the caster’s existence and isolates them dimensionally from the current universe and every being within it, allowing them to evade all attacks. The visible form that observers perceive is a deliberate mix of virtual and real, designed to sow confusion. In its true state, the spell makes the caster impossible to perceive at all within the current universe.
This magic was born from the protagonist’s fury after being thoroughly humiliated by the Karma Contract’s “weakling recognition nullification” blessing that the Spirit Realm gods of the Otherworld had used against him—despite him being a preliminary Creator God who had only reached the level of a lord god. He had originally tried to create a power that would forcibly reveal any stealth ability, but the lack of sufficient circles forced him to settle for making even himself unable to perceive the effect. Ironically, because the reference target was the Karma Contract’s recognition-nullifying authority, the resulting “failure” became an absurdly powerful complete-evasion magic.
It could block any guaranteed-hit attack with dimensional authority and outright refuse to be perceived. At present, the only ways to break this magic were to prevent the caster from using it or to completely annihilate the entire authority domain.
After its first activation, the protagonist had muttered a single line:
Uwooooooo—!
Crack—crraaaack—!
In that instant, the laws of the world twisted and bent aside for the preliminary Creator God of Dimensions. Attacks that should have been impossible to avoid split apart like a massive wall had appeared, ricocheting in every direction before exploding.
Boomboomboomboomboom—!
Rumble—rrrrumble—!
Every desperate strike from the highest-ranking mercenary lord gods—each blow powerful enough to shatter stars—bent and veered straight toward the titled Creator Gods. The Creator Gods’ own attacks also warped violently, striking meaningless empty space before vanishing.
The ten highest-ranking lord gods fighting here possessed enough combined power to annihilate an equal number of Substitute Gods. Yet the preliminary Creator God of Dimensions had completely neutralized their strongest attacks and redirected every ounce of that power toward the titled Creator Gods.
On his back burned thirteen pairs of golden wings of light, and beside them hovered another thirteen pairs of wings made of pitch-black mana that resembled black pearls, adding an even more brilliant splendor to his presence.
Fwoooooosh—!
Although he possessed twenty-six pairs of wings of light, he was not a true Creator God. Still, the fact that the Lord God of Light could wield mana as well carried enormous weight, and his level as a preliminary Creator God was astonishing.
In the 499th Master Universe—where all manner of bizarre authorities ran rampant—there was no other being who had reached the rank of lord god through magic alone at such a high level. That much could be stated with absolute certainty.
“The Magic God of Dimensions, the one who denies and rewrites reality, has joined the battle?”
“Why would a god who is supposed to be rational and reasonable step into a battlefield overflowing with such ominous energy?”
Unlike the highest-ranking mercenary lord gods, the Creator Gods shouted upon seeing the three-dimensional Title of Origin that completely enveloped his entire body.
They too possessed Titles, but theirs were merely drawn in lines at best. Even at their maximum, they only formed surfaces. Yet the preliminary Creator God who had suddenly intruded upon the battlefield appeared to have fully opened his Title, forming a perfect three-dimensional construct that continued to grow larger.
This meant he had completely opened his Title—staking his very existence and willingly stepping onto the judgment stand.
‘He accepted the absurd condition of satisfying the prerequisites for “complete victory” and “one-hit kill” against a being far above him.’
‘No one has ever passed his judgment, and above all, his verdicts are brutally harsh yet perfectly fair.’
Moreover, a battle between beings who knew each other’s limits all too well would be unimaginably fierce. The bigger problem was that Titles resonated with one another the closer they came; if things went wrong, they could break past their opening limits.
That was why the outcome of battles between Title holders almost always ended in eternal judgment due to excessive Title activation. It was to the point that even the Absolute Beings who had received Titles from him would avoid combat at all costs. So the fact that someone had fully opened their Title and was charging forward left them utterly dumbfounded.
And they could tell.
‘Even though he’s inflated his power to the limit, he is still weaker than us.’
He was overwhelmingly stronger than the highest-ranking lord gods of the 499th Master Universe who were desperately clinging to them, but he was by no means their superior. No matter how peculiar his authorities were, if they pressed him with full force, he would quickly reach his limit. It was only natural—fully opening a Title was the final resort of the weak challenging the strong.
“He fully opened the Title he received from him? Who is the target?”
“Are you trying to summon him—?! After witnessing his eternal judgment?!”
“Stop it—! Are you trying to drag us into this too?!”
“If you want to be judged by eternal judgment, do it alone, you weakling—!”
“Do you really think you can fight and win against all of us? You can’t even handle a single one of us in your normal state—!”
In complete contrast to their bewildered shouts, a voice overflowing with murderous intent and fighting spirit answered.
“The target is this entire war—! Since I’ve entered the battlefield through a Karma Contract, it doesn’t matter who the opponent is. I will definitely win and survive. Just like always—! 11th Circle — Dimension Gigantic Meteor—!”
Fwooooooooooong—!
By now, the number of compressed planets following behind him had exceeded a thousand. Those stars tore through dimensional rifts and hurtled toward the titled Creator Gods, but they dodged them skillfully.
As expected, their combat experience was on a completely different level from that of a young master like the Creator General. They evaded the designated coordinates of the dimensional shift and nullified the explosions.
And although he had just mocked the Creator General, the actual damage he had inflicted was almost nonexistent.
‘I destroyed the wings of light, but they can recover, and it barely affected their divine power.’
He had only shaken the battlefield with stellar explosions to buy time for his allies to recover, directly granted Origin’s Title to pull them out of the “sanctuary,” and used dimensional authority to freely link the “All-Powerful Splendor of Omniscience” that originally required physical contact.
‘Unlike warriors, mages in small-elite close-quarters combat can only play a supporting role.’
Grinding his teeth, he had no choice but to select the best possible strategy he could manage.
‘Damn it—! As expected, my magic can’t inflict any real damage on beings stronger than me. There is a limit to using magic that denies and rewrites reality against beings who have transcended and reinforced reality. Then the answer is already decided. But before that, I’ll adjust these guys first—! If they regain their strength like this, the highest-ranking mercenary lord gods won’t last.’
Fwaaaaaaaaah—!
Hands and feet flew in a dizzying blur as countless authorities surged toward him. The other side was also desperate, fearing that the resonance of Titles might push them past their limits. However, they still hadn’t figured out what his magic truly was.
That would become his winning move.
Sliiiide—!
All attacks once again slipped past him as if they had never existed. The magic that mimicked the “weakling recognition nullification” blessing he had once suffered from the Spirit Gods of the Otherworld was performing its role perfectly.
‘It’s confirmed now. I cannot defeat them, but they cannot catch me either.’
‘Therefore, I can win and survive once again.’
‘In exchange, I will have to pay with everything I have, but it’s the same as always.’
Suppressing the emotions that threatened to burst from his chest, he broke through the titled Creator Gods, slipping between the gaps created by stellar explosions and clashing authorities.
The attacks that grew even fiercer out of shock at his passing scattered harmlessly thanks to the complete-evasion magic, yet the chill running down his spine was unavoidable. He knew that if he allowed even a fraction of the full-powered strikes they were now unleashing without reservation, not even his body—protected by the extreme defense of the bio-armor Machine God—would survive.
‘I have to do what must be done—! If I let them come up with countermeasures, it’ll be too late. This is the perfect opportunity while they still can’t respond properly to a Magic God they’ve never seen before.’
Raising his dimensional authority and magic to the limit, he charged at the five of them. Moving at the maximum speed his body had grown accustomed to as Origin’s mage, he chanted toward the circle of divine power above his head.
Although his attacks were landing well, the instant the only magic capable of dealing fatal damage to them—Dimension Gigantic Meteor—activated right in front of their faces, they indeed missed the timing to respond.
Of course, he had no time to dodge either. He had no choice but to be caught in the explosion together with them, and since the blast contained no intent to perceive him, his magic had zero effect.
‘Direct attacks will never hit me, but I still take the aftermath.’
Although he could evade using dimensional authority, he had no strength left to do so while five opponents stronger than himself were going all out.
Kwaaaaaaaaaaah—!
The enormous explosion that shook the very fabric of space sent the titled Absolute Beings—who had barely managed to escape the blast in that brief moment—flying with wounds on their faces.
‘Naturally, detonating it at close range inflicted considerable damage on me as well, but my objective has been achieved.’
Through his dazed mind, he could hear the titled Creator Gods roaring in fury at the near-suicidal attack.
“You crazy bastard—!”
“If you want to die, die alone—! Why the hell are you self-destructing like this?!”
“I won’t let this slide. How dare you wound my face! I’ll grind you to dust!”
Having rolled around on battlefields for eons, their killing intent and curses were no joke. Although the wounds on their faces healed instantly and the damage seemed negligible, his goal had been accomplished.
‘It’s finally open. The path to victory I wanted so badly. The path that had been completely blocked after breaking through the Creator General and being swarmed by five titled Creator Gods.’
The narrow path leading to the front gate—the only safe zone from the Guerrilla Volcano that absorbed Creator God-level vitality—was both the best defense and the best way to block attacks. But releasing it would take time to reform, and in the meantime they would be unable to withstand the onslaught of the enemy god army. Therefore, he had no choice but to break through like this.
‘Only by crossing a battlefield where beings stronger than myself are fighting can I obtain what I desire. In the end, I’ve pierced through.’
A surge of joy erupted from deep within his heart as he propelled his body forward at maximum speed. Attacks flew from the Absolute Beings rapidly falling behind him, but his complete-evasion magic ignored them completely.
And thanks to the direct bestowal of Origin’s Title, the highest-ranking mercenary lord gods—whose life force and potential had been reinforced—were now attacking without regard for their own safety, seemingly anchoring the enemies in place. The barrage had been cut off at once.
‘They will know all too well what I am aiming for, and they will also know this is the only path to victory.’
Having risen to the rank of highest lord god as mercenary gods and even becoming masters of the Divine Realm, they were peerless warriors on the battlefield. All of them were close-combat specialists, so even if he was weaker than them, they could not be ignored. The sounds of fierce combat echoed loudly.
‘The Creator General is being held by Hwi and the Sage of Omniscience, while the titled Creator Gods are being handled by the highest-ranking mercenary lord gods. They obviously can’t win, but they can endure.’
The weight of a universe’s greatest beings and entities who had carried Titles for over hundreds of millions of years was not light, but the battle gods who had been tempered through countless certification battles and fights against the Substitute Gods were no pushovers either.
‘If their divine ranks were equal, the outcome would have been decided long ago.’
After accelerating at high speed for quite some time without any interference, he finally saw the countless gods of the enemy forces encamped outside the vitality-absorption domain of the defensive Divine Realm.
‘The enemy’s main camp.’
He didn’t know how many more enemies there were, but these were currently their main force. They were supporting and reinforcing the Creator General and the titled Creator Gods through parallel divine power links.
At the very front of that main camp, he could see hundreds of Origin beings from the Creator God-level clan integrating and channeling the divine power of the entire god army.
And when they saw him charging in alone, they were startled but still prepared their own defenses.
‘I can feel it. These beings are weaker than me.’
He didn’t bother hiding his bursting laughter as he shouted.
“Kukukukut—! Kwahahahahahat—! Finally! I’ve seized the winning momentum! As always, I will fulfill the contract through victory and survive—!”
The mad laughter of the preliminary Creator God of Dimensions echoed across the battlefield as he charged alone toward the god army’s camp—where the gods were so numerous it was impossible to count them, where reinforcements continued to pour in, and where hundreds of Origin beings—the strongest rulers and dominators of their respective clans from the 500th Master Universe’s highest Creator Gods—had gathered.
And now, having escaped the vitality-absorption domain of the Guerrilla Volcano, the Creator God-level mechanical giant stars Antares—which were rapidly regaining their original appearance as colossal red planets—began to reveal themselves around him.
The thousand-plus giant planets also swelled, revealing their complete forms.
Gugugugugugugugugugung—!
Around the Magic God of Dimensions, who flew forward with twenty-six pairs of wings of both light and darkness fully deployed, eighteen red giant-star Antares fully regained their original shapes.
As the thousand-plus giant stars recovered their true forms, a stellar cluster on a scale that surpassed even the enemy god army’s formation appeared in an instant.
Retrieving every last bit of computational power and magical energy that had been consumed to compress the planets, he poured all his strength into a new incantation.
“The Galactic System—! All Heavens—!”
