The Sly Raccoon's Onslaught
Amid the Spirit Realm War, the Main God's voice burst forth as if vomited from the depths of his heart. At the same time, the hands that had been lazily stretched across the sofa began to move. His arms remained perfectly still while his fingers danced independently, tracing circles and geometric patterns through the empty air. What radiated from them was a purity of magical power so refined it would have shocked even the demon gods they had once been. Dark magic—something impossible for a Main God of Light—had been activated.
"Ha! Magic? A Main God with black magician origins?"
"Gigantic Meteor!"
"Compressed Rapid Fire!"
⟨ GIGANTIC METEOR ⟩
A deep resonance thrummed through the air—Uuuuung—! Followed by a sharp tearing sound—Pasasasak—!
From the magic circles etched at each fingertip, planets the size of rounded pebbles emerged. They were compressed to such an insane degree that the space around them distorted. Even an upper-rank Main God specializing in spatial magic would find compressing a planet nearly impossible, yet he had manifested so many at once. How he achieved it was a mystery, but a direct hit would force even the highest gods to prepare for death.
The instant these ultra-compressed planets appeared, they vanished as though performing spatial teleportation.
The destinations of those spatial leaps are our backs. No—inside our bodies.
He was forcing spatial teleportation directly into their flesh. Absurdly, he was manifesting them in such vast quantities while fully accepting the risk of self-destruction should any coordinates slip even slightly.
"You insane—!"
"Kyaaaaah—!"
Screams and roars tore free on their own.
We have no time to attack this Main God right now.
If we don't stop these compressed planets that are ignoring our spatial control and teleporting into our bodies, even a highest-rank god's physique will be ripped to shreds.
In desperation they clasped hands, initiating a series connection of their divine power. In a single instant they gained ten billion in divine power and chanted a joint authority to manifest it.
"I summon the red flames of purgatory that destroy and kill gods,"
"and the prison of lightning from the abyss."
⟨ GOD-DESTROYING SLAUGHTER: PURGATORY RED FLAMES, ABYSS THUNDER PRISON ⟩
Flames roared—Hwaaaaaah—! Lightning crackled—Pajijijijing—!
They blocked the teleporting planets with a circular barrier recomposed from a transcendent conceptual authority of flame and lightning that burned all space and converted it into nothingness. Naturally, the Main God's body—whose thighs their buttocks were pinned against—burned under the same effect. Still, as an upper-rank Main God, his clothes turned to ash but his flesh endured. The garments they had only just manifested also disintegrated instantly, leaving them naked once more, bare skin rubbing against bare skin. Yet that was the least of their concerns now.
Dozens of attacks from massively compressed giant planets were pouring down at point-blank range.
Fortunately, the emergency joint barrier we formed is deflecting the pebble-sized compressed planets that were attempting spatial teleportation. They bounce away like stones skipping off a boulder.
Originally this had been a demon king-class wide-area attack and suppression technique used by the highest demon gods working in unison. With their demon-god authorities, this much would have been enough to slaughter any number of upper Main Gods. But manifested through divine power as Main Gods, it was only barely sufficient to block the spatial leaps. Even so, the defense held.
This Main God is truly dangerous. To manipulate giant planets with such freedom is an impossible authority and power. We will completely block this attack and end it in one strike.
Yet the Main God's chanting continued.
This is impossible. The magical power used just now was at least tenth-circle—easily more than eighty spells.
And he compressed the planets that small before launching them, yet he still has magic left? On top of simultaneous chanting? What kind of computational power does that require? Even a Demon God King would struggle with simultaneous operation at this scale—can a Main God of Light truly do it?
Despite their doubts, they watched a different form of magic manifest without flaw.
"Clash Planet!"
"Shake!"
⟨ CLASH PLANET ⟩
The planets that had been shattered and bounced from the barrier changed direction once more through an unbelievable spell. The eighty ultra-miniature compressed planets began glowing incandescent white, as if ready to explode at any second. The enormous magical power forcibly applied to alter their trajectories so violently was more than the planets themselves could endure.
No matter how much of a spiritual being this Main God's body is, it cannot withstand consecutive explosions of planets carrying that much mass.
Ordinary planets might have been manageable, but these were giant planets capable of becoming suns, each infused with magical power on the verge of detonation. The successive explosions of eighty such planets would be too much even for a Main God.
In a panic they clasped both hands together, strengthening the series connection of their divine power.
The reinforced barrier of flame and lightning met the planets' renewed charge. The planets began orbiting the barrier's surface, pressing and grinding against it with crushing force. Direct impacts had been stopped, but the colossal pressure from the planets squeezing the barrier transmitted straight into their bodies. It felt as though their physiques would disintegrate instantly; blood began spraying from their skin under the strain.
"Aaaaagh—! Divine… Power Explosion!"
"Kaaaaah—! Explosion!"
They could no longer tell whether the sounds bursting from their mouths were screams or divine words meant to reinforce the authority.
The joint defensive authority we manifested as Main Gods is weak, but it should not allow attacks to strike us so helplessly. Yet the impacts are coming through as if the barrier does not exist.
Even when they reinforced their divine power, the result was the same. It was not an authority but pure physical pressure—so heavy it warped space itself. The authority could not neutralize it and simply let it pass through. As a result, blood flowed from their eyes like tears while fresh blood erupted from their mouths.
It was an attack an intermediate Main God's body simply could not withstand.
When we first received the attack, we should have struck first instead of focusing on defense.
We had gained the advantage against an upper Main God and thought the conditions were in our favor, so we grew complacent. What a foolish mistake.
Crack—! Crackle—!
They had barely managed to annihilate half the planets circling and boring into the barrier's perimeter, but the remaining half completely shattered the barrier and lunged toward them.
In our current state, a direct hit from even one will kill us.
If they died so pathetically after becoming Main Gods, they had no idea how long it would take to recover even that level of divine power again. Within the vitality absorption authority of the Spirit Realm Waiting Area, it might even be impossible forever.
Desperately they released one clasped hand and tried to swat away the planets swarming from every direction.
When we activate a joint technique to this limited degree, we can display physical abilities on the level of an intermediate Main God. That should be enough.
Yet despair swallowed them at the next shift in the assault. Every planet had vanished again as though performing another spatial teleport.
What kind of magical power allows him to manifest one hundred and sixty tenth-circle spells simultaneously and still have reserves left?
A sigh escaped them involuntarily.
The destination of those planets' spatial leap was directly inside their bodies.
Does he truly intend to end us?
There was no longer any divine power or time left to maintain the barrier. They could only stare blankly as they sensed the planets teleporting in, desperately trying to raise the authority of fire once more to block them with divine power. But they knew all too well that a Main God's body could never stop this attack.
If we were still demon gods, we would not have fallen so pathetically. Despair flooded over them.
The price of lowering their guard after gaining the upper hand and an absolutely advantageous position was far too heavy.
We should have attacked first with our strongest joint technique no matter what.
The price of their curiosity—wanting to see how he would handle the absolutely disadvantageous situation he had brought upon himself—was simply too great.
And so they were pathetically defeated by this continuous barrage of transcendent magic.
The Main God's earlier shout—that he would never forgive even himself if he grew complacent as a defeated loser—flashed through their minds.
Through their buttocks they could feel his thighs, taut with extreme tension as he poured every ounce of his strength into the assault. He was desperately attacking to atone for his earlier mistake in this self-inflicted disadvantageous position.
Even an upper Main God is fighting this desperately. A lower one who let their guard down deserves to die.
To grow complacent on a battlefield where it was kill or be killed was a shameful act unbecoming of former highest demon gods. They only felt sorry for her, who had followed him this far while believing in him despite his shortcomings—even while accepting the decline in authority and divine power that came with becoming a Main God.
Yet she threw herself over him as if to shield his body, as if to protect him from the planets' spatial teleportation. With her transcendent lightning speed she could have escaped, yet she still chose to protect him.
An urgent exchange of wills passed between them.
"St… stop it! At least you get away—!"
"I can't—! If you die like this—! You must see that person again!"
"Kugh—! Damn it—!"
Thud—! Thump, thump—! Crack—!
The sounds of spraying blood and snapping bones rang out violently the instant their bodies collapsed onto the Main God's thighs. The planets that had teleported inside their bodies had completely shattered every major joint in their limbs and destroyed every vital point. No matter how powerful a Main God's physique, it could not ignore collisions from giant planets. When compressed like this to narrow the impact point and multiply the shock, the result could literally be annihilation.
Worse, because they detonated from within, the damage was truly catastrophic. Since every particle of the planets had been converted into explosive force, there were no remnants left behind. It was vicious. Had they struck while retaining their original form, the bodies might have simply been torn apart—but by converting everything into pure explosive power, the damage was magnified even further.
Even though she tried to protect me, it seems the spatial teleport used automatic targeting rather than fixed coordinates. Most of our bodies have been completely pulverized.
Some appeared to have missed, but they were now utterly combat-incapacitated. Blood flowed down from her body as well—the one covering his like a mother bird shielding her chicks. Seeing her only tremble faintly, it seemed she had suffered nearly fatal wounds too. She gave no response to any will transmission, as if unconscious, only breathing in ragged gasps that suggested she could die at any moment.
We couldn't land a single attack and were defeated so pathetically.
Now only the harsh punishment that followed defeat remained. If he was a battle god willing to attack using methods that could even sacrifice his own body, they could imagine how severe it would be.
Most likely he will take all our vitality and divine power as planned and annihilate us. But it was a fair fight, so we have no regrets.
The only lingering attachment was the thought that it would have been better to fight as demon gods.
Then the Main God's voice rang out, trembling as though he were grinding his teeth in fury.
"You Spirit Realm Main Gods who remain unpredictable until the very end! Kheup—!"
Squish—! Squeeze—!
They felt additional weight press down onto the body she was covering. They could not see the situation above clearly, but it seemed this reckless Main God had taken tremendous damage as well. Pure divine blood belonging to a Main God of Light—different from themselves who had transferred from being demon gods—dripped down from above.
Could it be that he never anticipated her covering him to protect him and ended up taking the attack himself?
Then it was no different from self-destruction. When they checked his divine power, the damage was so severe it was nearly depleted. No—his depletion was even worse than theirs, who could not even move because most of their joints had been destroyed.
His divine power has dropped to the point where maintaining his body is difficult. Then this is not a complete defeat but a draw.
Yet that Main God continued to chant with obvious difficulty, still manifesting his authority. To exert power even in that state showed a tenacious will.
Origin's Sun and Moon. Maximum Output.
Whoosh—!
Suddenly an enormous surge of light divine power and vitality washed over them. The instant they confirmed that the Main God's divine power and vitality were recovering at an absurdly rapid rate, a scream tore from them involuntarily. In a single moment he was healing every wound and recovering most of his divine power, the surge rising steeply.
It was such an astonishing fact that they even forgot the pain wracking their bodies.
This can't be—! Is it possible to replenish the divine power and vitality of at least a highest-rank Main God this quickly?
Just what kind of authority and divine power did he possess to make this possible? Wasn't this closer to the restoration only a Creator God could perform—recovering from annihilation rather than merely healing wounds?
Crack—! Ting—! Crunch—! Tingting—!
Along with the sounds of muscles and joints relaxing came strange metallic tones. Amazingly, his body and divine power had nearly completely recovered.
While their own bodies, having suffered far too great a blow, could not recover and were instead losing vitality and dying, this Main God—who they had predicted had taken even greater damage—had recovered in that short span of time.
Only then did they understand why the Main God of the Divine Realm here had not intervened at all, why he had left their disposal entirely to this Main God, and how he could so confidently invite such risks while fighting them.
Recovery power approaching that of a Creator God's restoration. And it restores not only physical damage but depleted divine power at the same time. Then he is at least a highest Main God—! We let our guard down against an opponent like this? Against an active highest Main God and battle god, no less.
If the price of failing to read the opponent's strength and growing complacent was a miserable defeat, then it was only natural.
It's so pathetic it's almost laughable.
Then a strange sensation against their buttocks made them exhale in panic. Even amid the extreme agony of their nearly destroyed bodies, a distinctly lewd feeling pierced their minds.
Haah—! What—! What is—!
Slide—! Slide—!
The hand of the fully recovered highest Main God was gently caressing her buttocks.
