A God's Boredom and a Sudden Summoning
"Haah, haah..." Rough panting echoed in the dark room.
"Ahhn! N-no!" Mixed with the heavy breathing was a feverish, breathless moan.
As the climax drew near, the pace quickened.
"Hngh!!!" The man closed his eyes, feeling the world around him momentarily fade to black as he released everything he had been holding back with all his might.
Splat! The semen erupting from his body shot out with explosive force.
"Oho..." Along with his ejaculation, an amused gasp echoed from right in front of him. Startled, the man snapped his eyes open and looked ahead.
Huh...? Right now, I was feeling an overwhelming sense of bewilderment.
Just moments ago, I was definitely in my room, having some "happy time" while playing the climax of Doki Doki Harem Life. But when I opened my eyes, I was standing in a completely pitch-black space.
"W-where am I..."
"Hello there." At the sound of a greeting directed at me, I looked forward—and my legs instantly gave out, sending me collapsing to the floor.
Glowing in the darkness before me were two emerald-green eyes. Massive eyes, at that.
Looking closer, a colossal snake with pitch-black scales was coiled around my completely naked body, staring down at me.
"U-uh, uh..."
"You're the first human to ever cum right onto my face the second they were summoned. I thought I'd play a little joke, but to think you'd be this terrified... Can I even use a guy like you?"
Paralyzed with fear, I wanted to say something, but the words refused to leave my throat.
At the snake's words, I looked at its face. Sure enough, the "children" I had just shot out were smeared across one side of its snout, dripping down in a sticky mess.
"Hieek! I-I'm sorry! P-please spare me..." The moment my brain rebooted, I slammed my forehead against the ground and begged the serpent for forgiveness.
"Ah, it's fine, it's fine. If I wanted to kill you, you'd already be dead, human. Relax."
"Hieek!"
I couldn't read a snake's facial expression, but I could somehow feel a mischievous smirk radiating from it.
"Hmm... We're not going to get anywhere like this. Hold on a sec!" With those words, the giant snake's body was enveloped in a brilliant light, gradually shifting into a human shape. Soon, the serpent transformed into a well-built man.
"How's this? Is this enough for you to listen to me? Or maybe..." The man was enveloped in light once more. As the glow subsided, he had transformed into an incredibly beautiful, naked woman with long, flowing hair.
"Hmm... I guess this is a bit easier to talk in? It's been thousands of years since I last took a human form, so I'm not sure if this is quite right."
Beholding her naked body—more beautiful than any woman I had ever seen in my life—my third leg, which absolutely should not have been getting hard in this life-or-death situation, began to slowly raise its head.
"Oh my? You're getting hard looking at me in a situation like this? What an interesting human." Having noticed my growing member, she let out an amused chuckle.
"N-no, this is, I mean—!"
"Ah, whatever~ I'm not trying to scold you. I went out of my way to take on this hot human body to lower your guard, so why are you so tense?"
Snap! With a flick of her fingers, a chair materialized out of thin air. She walked over gracefully, sat down, and looked at me.
"Right, you must be totally out of it, huh?"
I nodded cautiously at her question.
"Thought so. But we don't have much time, so you'd better snap out of it and listen to what I have to say."
She crossed her legs and rested her chin on her hand, staring intently at me. Feeling overwhelmed by her gaze, I averted my eyes.
"Sigh... Did I choose too randomly...? No, well, I guess this is all part of the fun..." After muttering some incomprehensible nonsense to herself, she spoke up again to continue.
"This space you're in right now is a crack between the world you lived in and the realm of the gods where you're headed. In other words, a dimensional rift I created. You can think of it as me hijacking you before you could be sent over there."
"What... does that mean...?"
"From now on, you're my chosen participant! You're going to play in the Gods' Game! Round of applause!" *Clap, clap, clap.* She cheered and clapped all by herself.
"Ah, right, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Loki! You've heard of me, right? What was it... Some movie did super well, so apparently I'm pretty famous in your era. Ahem!" Loki puffed out her chest proudly. As she did, her naked breasts bounced enticingly.
"Huh?"
"Ugh! I told you we don't have time! Snap out of it and just cram my words directly into your brain!"
"Y-Yes, ma'am!" At my dazed response, Loki frowned and scolded me. Terrified by her expression, I nodded my head vigorously.
"Alright, where should I start... Ah, yes! All the gods you humans know of no longer interfere with your world! That's the contract we made among ourselves. Our sacred vow. The Olympus crowd made an oath on the River Styx or whatever, slapping on every single restriction they possibly could. We all agreed not to interfere and moved to a different dimension."
Just as Loki said, I bypassed trying to actually comprehend it all. I simply listened to her words and engraved them into my memory.
"We just watched for a few hundred years... and I was about to go absolutely insane from boredom!" Loki's voice rose, her emotions flaring.
"I mean, playing pranks on other gods is only fun for a century or two! With no gods left to mess with, I was losing my mind! So... I gathered the gods, held a meeting, and pitched an idea! And that was..." Loki took a deep breath, pausing dramatically as if about to reveal the secret of the universe.
"That is the 'Gods' Game' you're about to participate in!" Loki grinned with delight, but her expression looked slightly unhinged—the kind of face that screamed 'danger' if you got too close.
"Commonly known as the 'Gods' Game'! I proposed three things. First, we make a tiny exception to our contract of non-interference and summon chosen humans to our dimension! This way, we twist the treaty just enough—since we're technically interfering from our own dimension, it doesn't count as breaking our vow!"
Several questions popped into my head, but I kept my mouth shut and waited for Loki to continue.
"Second! We build a massive tower in our dimension! Then, we drop the summoned humans at the very top of that tower! After that, we make them climb down to the lowest floor! The first human to reach the bottom gets one wish granted! Whew~ even I have to admit, granting a whole wish is incredibly generous!"
This god named Loki... her emotions fluctuated so rapidly it felt like watching a one-woman play. A cold sweat broke out on my back as my entire body screamed that this woman was highly dangerous.
"Anyway! Third! If we just told humans to go down, they'd obviously all die! So, we grant them each a single authority we can bestow! Hmm... to put it in terms you'd easily understand, we give you a skill! Got it?"
"Ah... Yes..."
"Okay! So, what happened to my proposal? Drumroll please... *badum-tss!* Ta-da! It passed with only one opposing vote!!!!! Wow! Let's hear some applause~~~" She was definitely a crazy hum—no, a crazy god. She clapped and hopped around the space, completely naked. Then, she suddenly stopped and resumed her explanation.
"The other gods were just as bored out of their minds as I was! That's why they agreed to my proposal and set it up! But..." Loki's voice dropped to a low, ominous register.
"It was fun at first, you know...? Watching the humans panic! Seeing some fall into despair! Watching others trample over their fellow men! The ecstasy! The agony!" Loki's eyes grew bloodshot as her excitement peaked. Overwhelmed by her sheer presence, I swallowed hard.
"But... I'm sick of it now... It's already been thousands of years... and not a single soul has reached the end! Why can't they make it? Are they idiots? Why are humans so fragile that they all drop dead before reaching the bottom?!" As she spoke, Loki thrust her face right in front of mine, her eyes burning red. Her pupils had slit vertically, just like the snake I had first seen, and they were filled with pure, unadulterated madness.
"Whew... Sorry, I got a bit carried away..." Pulling her face back, Loki took a few deep breaths to compose herself before flopping back down onto the chair she had summoned.
"It's already been thousands of years since we started sending humans into the tower... For me, the god of mischief, keeping interest for thousands of years is a massive achievement! Right? It's practically a record!" Loki nodded to herself.
"But a game that nobody can beat is no fun, is it? It's just a boring repetition. That's why I've decided to break the game I created! And I'm going to do it through you!"
"M-me? Beat this...?" Loki pointed at me as she spoke, and I pointed at myself in sheer bewilderment, asking her to clarify.
"Yep, you have to do it! Or... do you want to just die here? I can always go pick someone else."
"N-No! I'll do it! Please let me do it, Lady Loki!!!"
"Yes, that's the spirit!" Let's just survive first. Whatever happens, it has to be better than dying right here, right? Yeah! As the old saying goes, it's better to roll in a field of dog shit in this world than to go to the next! Wait, is this even 'this world'? Whatever, I'm alive! That's all that matters! Seeing the look of resolve on my face, Loki smiled with satisfaction.
"So, what exactly do I need to do?"
"Excellent question! Uh... Ah! I haven't even asked your name yet, human. What is it?"
"It's Geum Seong-gi!"
"Oh, Geum Seong-gi? What a great name. Hmm... Gold Dick? I love it! Kahaha!" The moment I said my name, Loki burst into laughter, calling me by my old school nickname. She laughed so hard that tears welled up in her eyes. Wiping them away, she finally began to answer my question.
"Ah... Right, what our dear Gold Dick needs to do is... drumroll, please... reach the very bottom of the tower!"
"Excuse me...?" My brain instantly short-circuited. From what Loki had said, I understood that the Gods' Game was a race to the bottom floor. But she wanted me to just... go? When no one had managed to do it for thousands of years? What, was she going to install an elevator for me? As I stared at her blankly, Loki smirked.
"Come on, do you really think I'd send you in the exact same way after doing this for thousands of years? I told you, I'm bored of it~"
"R-Right?" Relieved by her words, I eagerly waited for what she would say next.
"Exactly~ That's why I hijacked you into this dimensional rift to talk to you like this!"
"Then, how...?"
"Listen closely! Remember how I said there was one god who opposed this game? That was Atropos, one of the old hags of destiny from Olympus." Since this was crucial information about what I had to do, I listened to Loki more intently than I had ever listened to anything in my entire life.
"That old hag always complained that summoning you guys was disrupting the natural order! So, to bring this game to an end, I made a secret deal with her! And so... ta-da! I'm going to give you two special abilities!"
"What?"
"Skills! Two of them! I'm giving you two, so go beat the tower!"
"Ah... pardon?" I wondered if I had misheard her.
"Yep! Beat! The tower!"
"You crazy bi—*gasp!*"
