Chapter Title: Clearing Inventory Before New Releases
-----------------------------------------------------------------
After posting to the Gallery, I decided to kill time until the comments piled up by checking out something else.
That something was the newly unlocked feature.
[Custom Crafting]
This was the first feature unlocked by checking a regular customer's status window.
This time, the tutorial didn't skip a beat and dove right in.
Sooner or later, I'd have to listen to these tutorials anyway.
Knocking them out one by one as they popped up was way less stressful than letting them pile up.
"Hmm~..."
Nice to hear from you, sis.
I followed Voice Sis's guidance through the Custom Crafting tutorial.
In the end, I got a Rusty Iron Ring (E).
This thing looked like it'd slice my finger clean off the moment I tried slipping it on...
Probably best to stash it in my inventory with the rest of the rusty iron series.
Anyway, the Custom Crafting tutorial was super straightforward.
It consumes five crafting tickets at once for just one shot, but the odds of producing gear related to the materials you input skyrocket.
For the Rusty Iron Ring, the tutorial supplied some rusty iron directly.
My first thought after finishing the tutorial? I probably wouldn't touch this for a while.
Sure, it's a great feature, but it only boosts the chances of relevant gear popping out—not the overall crafting success rate.
How many times do you crank out six crafts in a row and get nothing but duds? No way I'm sitting around waiting one craft every five hours.
Better to mass-produce A-grades first before bothering.
Unless some big shot commissions me personally, it'd probably be smarter to just spam crafts until something good drops.
With the new feature checked out, it was time to see what comments had rolled in on my old posts.
[Light attributes are pretty rare, right? Does even a D-grade knockoff sell?]
Author: Boastful Blacksmith
Light Staff (D)
If I can make enough to buy some chew toys for my dog Poppi at home, that'd be great ㅜㅜ
lolololololololololololol
This guy's so consistent, it's kinda likable lolololololol
Are you friends with Boastful Blacksmith or something?
Saintess bawling lololololol
Holy Piss streaming down uheuhue...
Aw man, thief averages dropping again;;
That C-grade one-hand shield appraisal from the other day feels like this guy's work;;
This dude's still at it lolololol
I approve as a fellow smith. Go eat something and rest up.
ദ്ദിᐡ,,•ᴥ•,,ᐡ ꒱
Oh? Didja buy the staff???
Fr, why isn't he spamming staff comments? ㄷㄷ
Looks like he bought the Crimson Flame Staff that Boastful Blacksmith posted. For real? lololol
Didn't hit auction house, so private deal? ㄷㄷ Wonder if Crimson Lotus Guild's involved too.
Holy Kingdom Guild registers E-grade Light Staff as holy relic <<< What the hell are these guys? lolololololololololololol
Who registers trash like that as a relic?;; Can you even buy dog chews with it? lolol
Boastful Blacksmith turns it into a relic ㄷㄷㄷㄷ
No sign of comments from Holy Piss or anyone suspected to be from Holy Kingdom Guild.
If they were seriously planning to buy, they'd probably send a DM instead of commenting.
The moment I switched from my post to check messages...
A brand-new post caught my eye.
[Why Boastful Blacksmith is Actually God-Tier: S-Grade Awakener or Higher]
Author: Reincarnation of the Old Geezer
Everyone seems clueless about smiths, so here's the scoop.
First B-grade self-crafted <<< Insane, right? But there's something even crazier.
He can craft and enchant attributes. That's two totally separate fields, and doing both at once is straight-up impossible.
Smiths who can even enchant are rare as hell to begin with.
Why? 'Cause it means they know attribute skills, which makes 'em a mage. Who the fuck becomes a smith then? lololol
People joke he's high-rank awakener, but I think it's real. Guessing at least A-grade minimum.
No comments yet on this one.
It was a post sucking me off so blatantly.
And damn, it felt good.
Upvoted lolololol
I rarely comment on others' posts, but this one hit my fanboy vibes, so I dropped one.
Checking my message list next, sure enough, there was one from the person I expected.
[Holy Piss]
[Solo Level Up]
[All-Out Sick]
[Reincarnation of the Old Geezer]
...
[B-Rank Longbow Owner]
Messages flooding in from all sorts, but only one mattered to me.
'Hyeji...'
She was starting to feel kinda pitiful, so maybe gift her C-grades one by one later.
But C-grades could take 10 hours on a bad luck streak... Waste of time.
"Ah!"
Once I dump all my B-grade stock soon, buyers would unload C-grades dirt cheap.
Just scoop one up then.
Hyeji's a thief who steals gear grades anyway, so type or options won't matter to her.
Yeah, I'd look out for Hyeji later when the chance came. For now, time to read Holy Piss's message.
Hello. First time greeting a Korean.
I'm Veronica Estelle, Saintess of Holy Kingdom Guild.
I've been keeping an eye on your active posts lately, and when you announced the Crimson Flame Staff, I was truly impressed.
At the same time... I harbored a faint hope.
What was just a wish for me, you revealed to the world so casually. I'm astonished every time...
That's why I want to buy the Light Staff you made. I must have it!
Waiting for your reply.
Holy Piss. - Veronica Estelle
"Oh..."
The message dripped with elegance.
Truly saintly.
But that last line with "Holy Piss"... Typo again?
I was reading in awe, picturing the saintess's holy, beautiful form... only for the final line to shatter it all.
"..."
Anyway, gotta reply.
Illusions aside, no one else would pay saintess prices for this gear.
[Of course. I made it specifically to sell to you, Saintess. I've been waiting.]
This might make me look desperate and easy to haggle, but nah—opposite effect.
She knows how bad she wants this staff. It's a nudge to name her price high.
Phrased with saintly grace as "make an offer."
As expected from her eagerness, reply came quick.
Thank you so much. The staff you made is essential for me. I can't presume to value a divine miracle, but proper compensation is necessary.
"So, how much you offering?"
Elegant wordplay's fun once.
Truth is, I wasn't gunning for big bucks on a D-grade anymore.
B-grades begging for owners everywhere.
[Agreed. Factoring in costs to birth these miracles so far, plus budget for even greater ones ahead: 5 billion won. Spot on, I'd say.]
Average C-grade weapons rarely top 1 billion, but I slapped 5 billion on a D-grade.
Still, attribute weapons are rare, light attributes absurdly so... Might seem reasonable?
I pray for just a bit more mercy... for one more miracle...
Just haggling 'cause it's pricey.
She's S-grade, basically Holy Kingdom Guild master... 5 billion shouldn't sting.
Good thing I'm a private deal vet now.
Learned the perfect play from the last one.
[Installments available, of course. Down payment 2.5 billion. Balance at 5% annual interest, total 2.625 billion within a year. Surely you won't undervalue a miracle.]
5% interest is generous seller territory.
[We'll do that...]
Perfect. I went to send the regular customer registration prompt, then paused.
If she rejects it—or even after the deal, spills about me...
Half the cash, 2.5 billion, might not buy her silence on my secret.
[How should we proceed with the trade? Could you visit our Holy Kingdom, by chance?]
Ridiculous.
How am I supposed to get to Italy?
Need to think this through.
Suddenly remembered how Chae Yeonhwa snapped up the contract so fast.
Thought she was too quick on the draw, but turns out I was the same.
Those 105 billion must've turned my head.
"Hmm..."
To cool off, I browsed the Gallery, and the very next post's title floored me.
[Holy Kingdom Guild Official Statement: No Interest in Newly Appeared Light Staff ㄷㄷ]
What the hell is this bullshit all of a sudden?
What's with the saintess I was just chatting with?
