Crushing the Defiant Captain
Su Rui never imagined an outcome like this. She had clearly seen her fist about to smash into that detestable bastard's face—how was this possible…
And Chu Fei's counter was so vicious that Su Rui felt like her guts were nearly punched right out of her. She crumpled to the ground, her insides twisting into agonizing knots. But she was a battle-hardened warrior, after all—she immediately rolled to the side, terrified of more attacks. Chu Fei, however, just stood there, gazing down at her with contempt. Strangely, he was unbuttoning his shirt.
"I told you," he said, "your night was gonna end badly. I always keep my word!"
"You… I did underestimate you," Su Rui spat through gritted teeth as she forced herself back to her feet. Her body still throbbed with excruciating pain, but she had some fight left in her.
"Whether I win or not? Doesn't matter to me."
Chu Fei shrugged off his shirt, revealing a bare upper body that wasn't overly bulky but had enough definition to turn heads. Mimicking her earlier taunt, he crooked a finger at her. "The one who should be worried is you. Ready to embrace your miserable fate?"
"Go to hell!"
Su Rui roared in fury and charged again. No way could she let some punk kid dictate her destiny.
Bam!
This time, she slammed face-first into the ground—hard, so hard she couldn't even figure out how it happened. Her knees burned like fire from brutal kicks, her head throbbed from smacking the pavement, leaving her dizzy… and then a foot suddenly pinned her skull.
"How's that feel?" Chu Fei sneered. "Honestly, you got lucky yesterday—I was too lazy to bother with you. But now you have the guts to come provoke me again?!"
"Mmph… mmph…"
With her head crushed underfoot, Su Rui couldn't speak. Her only option was desperate struggle—but the moment her arm twitched, searing pain shot through it, and it went numb, useless…
The silver lining? His foot finally lifted. She gasped for air.
The other female security guards stood frozen, jaws slack in shock. They'd just realized: against this young man, Su Rui had zero chance to fight back. She was getting utterly toyed with. But how… how the hell was he doing it?
Chu Fei slowly crouched down beside the paralyzed Su Rui. "Feeling regret now? Your own team seeing you sprawled like a dog… Don't worry, though—the fun's just getting started!"
"You… you demon. What the hell do you want?"
"Just wanna tell you one thing."
Chu Fei casually reached out with his left hand, grabbing the back of her tank top. With a yank, he hauled her upper body upright. What terrified Su Rui was the sharp dagger now gleaming in his right hand—the very one she'd left on the sidelines moments ago.
"Hey, that's enough! Know when to quit—we get it, our captain's beat to hell already. What more do you want? Drop the damn dagger!"
The guards spotted the blade and paled. Chu Fei's expression was downright terrifying, and with Su Rui dangling from his grip like that… Was he planning to disfigure their captain?
"I'd advise you all to mind your own business," Chu Fei growled. "Turn around and walk out now—that's your best move. Otherwise, you're all in for it."
He was in no mood for mercy, his threat blunt and immediate.
"You bastard—drop the dagger! Drop our captain, or I will shoot!"
One guard moved like lightning, snatching Su Rui's discarded pistol and leveling it at Chu Fei. But in the next instant, her vision went black—a heavy blow to the neck sent her crumpling. Chu Fei was already in front of her, pistol in hand, which he tossed aside carelessly.
"I hate being threatened!"
"…"
The remaining guards exchanged uneasy glances at the escalating danger, then rushed him en masse, hoping numbers would overwhelm him. But Su Rui watched in despair as her five or six skilled teammates—all solid fighters—went down in a single second. They sprawled in a heap, limbs crippled just like hers, helpless.
"That's what you get for rejecting the toast and chugging the penalty drink."
Chu Fei sauntered back toward Su Rui. "I tried being nice, explained it all polite-like, but you lot acted like I was nothing. So now reality's your teacher. Sit back and enjoy the show… Man, you've got balls—blasting my car without a second thought? Impressive!"
