Wiping Away the Humiliation
Su Rui understood this all too well, so she'd spent the entire day glued to the villa. Finally spotting Chu Fei parting ways with Duan Lin—and looking like he was about to head out—she bolted without a second thought. Her mind was laser-focused on one simple goal: beat the crap out of him in another fight, then drag his bruised and battered ass in front of everyone. That would settle all the bullshit once and for all!
Lose? The thought never crossed Su Rui's mind. She'd replayed yesterday's fight a hundred times. Chu Fei had hit her hard, sure, but it was obvious he had zero training—just raw, brute force. If she'd landed a shot like that, she could've crippled him on the spot, stripped away every ounce of fight he had left. Hell, if he were an enemy, that one blow would've put him down for good, flat on his back forever...
But what Su Rui couldn't figure out was how she'd gotten hit. There was a blank spot in her memory right before the punch landed—like her brain had checked out for a split second.
Why the mental lapse? Probably because she'd grabbed that thing of his. Come to think of it, she hadn't been with a man in over two years—not since the divorce. No one had touched her, and she hadn't touched anyone. So yeah, she'd gotten distracted, lost in filthy thoughts, and this bastard had capitalized. Had to be it!
Embarrassing as hell to admit, but Su Rui gritted her teeth and swallowed it. Still, she had to wash away that shame tonight.
"Fuck, you crazy bitch—believe I won't ram you flat!" Chu Fei had no clue what was rattling around in her head. Seeing her block his path without budging, he was so pissed his mouth twisted in fury.
Click!
Su Rui whipped a pistol from the small of her back, racked the slide with a yank, and fished a silencer from her pocket without hesitation. Before Chu Fei could blink, she aimed at his car and squeezed the trigger. A muffled thump echoed, and the vehicle lurched forward with a hiss.
"Son of a bitch!"
Chu Fei practically leaped out the door. Sure enough, the front tire of his beloved Wrangler was shredded, courtesy of Su Rui.
"Since you wanna die, I'll make it happen!"
He spat the words through clenched teeth. In that moment, he genuinely wanted to tear this woman apart, limb from limb.
How many guys didn't love their cars? Especially this Wrangler—his absolute favorite. Sure, he hadn't bought it with his own cash, but that didn't dim his affection one bit. It was pristine, without a single scratch or dent... until this bitch popped its cherry with a bullet.
"Relax, I won't let you die."
Su Rui holstered the pistol and turned on her heel. Blissfully unaware of just how terrifying Chu Fei could be right now, she strode eagerly toward the villa's basement—their usual training ground.
"Clear some space, everyone. I'm squaring up with this guy again!"
"Ha... Boss, you actually lured him down here? You sure you got this? Want us to soften him up first?"
"..."
The female security guards training nearby burst into laughter. It was just banter, but the doubt in their voices was crystal clear.
"All of you, back the fuck off. This is between me and him—no one's stepping in, and no one's interfering!"
Su Rui stripped off her outer shirt, unstrapped the weapons from her waist and thighs, and marched to the center of the training mat in just her tank top. She crooked a finger at Chu Fei. "C'mon, you little punk—don't worry, I won't touch your pretty face this time!"
"Hahaha..." The guards howled with laughter, shooting Chu Fei weird, mocking looks.
"Hmph!"
Chu Fei clenched his fists tight and stepped forward, stopping about ten paces from Su Rui. "Tonight's gonna end bad for you. Hope you're ready..."
"Ooh, I'm dying to see it. Ready... set?"
"Hmph!"
Chu Fei's eyes narrowed sharply. Su Rui's words hadn't even faded when her fist rocketed toward his face...
This was her idea of not hitting the face?
Fuck, this woman lied worse than she farted!
Chu Fei sidestepped lazily, letting the punch whistle past, then whipped up his right knee in a brutal strike. At the same instant, the world snapped back to normal. Su Rui—still smirking triumphantly—doubled over like a sledgehammer had caved in her gut. Her body curled into a shrimp, and she slammed face-first to the mat.
No one saw it coming. Even the guards knew Su Rui had taken a beating from Chu Fei yesterday, but they'd chalked it up to a cheap shot. Now, face-to-face? This untrained-looking guy against their ace? No contest.
But in one exchange, their strongest—their captain—had been flattened by the seemingly harmless Chu Fei. Shock rippled through the room like a thunderclap.
