Chapter 318: Honest Reviews
The moment Lee Cheong-hyeon and Lee Su-hun stepped out of the car, the other members came charging out from the vehicle parked opposite them. Leading the pack, without a doubt, was Kim I-wol.
Seeing the redness around Cheong-hyeon’s eyes, Kim I-wol grabbed him by both cheeks and asked, “Were you crying?”
Then, he shot a fierce glare at Lee Su-hun. Cheong-hyeon only provoked I-wol further, joking that he was about to suffer a "gold loss" from his face being squished.
After an awkward exchange of greetings, Lee Su-hun headed back. Cheong-hyeon practically pushed him away when Su-hun mentioned he needed to get home quickly because he was short on study time.
On the drive back to Seoul, Cheong-hyeon spent a long time grumbling while peering into his shopping bags.
“There isn’t a single one of the pastries Ju-woo Hyung’s sister recommended. He definitely just saw what other people were grabbing and followed suit.”
“And how does he even know my size? He just sent the clothes as they are without a receipt. I can’t even exchange them.”
“I mean, why would you buy such somber, mature dress shoes for a high schooler…?”
Despite his complaints, Cheong-hyeon carefully tucked the items back into the bags.
It felt as though a very old grudge was finally dissolving.
Even if Lee Su-hun forgot to correct Lee Gang-myeong’s way of speaking, Cheong-hyeon decided he wouldn’t resent Su-hun anymore.

≫ Honest review of spArk in person (Proof included)
I went to my friend’s university festival and had to save a spot, so I was there since before sunset. This is a review from someone sitting around the 3rd row.
First off, this was my first time seeing spArk. I didn’t even know who was who. I just looked up their profiles on the Green Portal to write this.
The most insane one was Jeho (the tallest one, right? lol). When he comes out, you can’t see anyone else. He dances f*cking well.
And Cheong-hyeon is legendary handsome… Why hasn’t he blown up yet? With a face like that, it’s impossible not to. Has the word just not reached the muggles yet?
Their mid-set comments were decent too. It felt like the kids prepared a lot. They were good at hosting.
They performed about six songs. I haven’t been to many uni festivals and rarely watch the stages, so I didn’t know, but apparently, six songs is a total steal…? All the singers who came after them did two or three songs and filled the rest of the time with talking. That’s when I realized spArk did a lot of songs.
But seriously, the kids are so handsome. They’re crazy tall. My neck hurt a bit from looking up, but maybe it’s because it was my first time seeing idols this close—they really are from another world.
They’re good at singing too. I don’t know much about spArk, but they sang New World, so I sang along to that at least. It felt like a real event, it was great. ㅎ
I only have one negative review: there was nothing to eat. I wish they’d bring in more food trucks.
└ Lee Cheong-hyeon has already conquered the male idol scene with his face alone hahahahaha
└└ Oh, for real? Well, it would be weirder if he was still hidden.
└ Ha, I’m so jealous ㅠㅠ This was spArk’s first university festival.
└ Really?? They were so good.
└ They’ve done some local events, but yeah, this was their first uni festival. ㅇㅇ
└ The negative review has nothing to do with spArk hahahahahaha
≫ The idol whose older brother is a student at Kaisuit.zip
spArk Cheong-hyeon.
He went to the festival and greeted everyone, asking them to take good care of his brother hahaha
+ He also prepared for a Gifted High School himself.
└ Must be an elite family hahahaha
└ Cheong-hyeon got 2nd place on that quiz show hahaha
└ A kid who prepared for Gifted High School got 2nd place…?
└ It couldn’t be helped… His opponent was an S University CSAT Warrior.
└ It’s tough to become an idol these days.
└ No, no, the family feud is what’s tough, since they’re on the same team hahaha
≫ Isn’t this basically a summary of spArk at Kaisuit today?
Flat-face: O Magic I-wol Shell!!! Can Hanhwa win?!?!
I-wol Shell: NO.
└ Please hahahahaㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
└ hahahahahaha
└ But it seems like the Flame Squad has some recognition among muggles too, seeing comments like that.
└ I-wol basically dominates short-form content…
└ The man who took root everywhere even before being chosen by the algorithm…
I couldn’t laugh after reading that last comment. It’s a terrible thing to see myself everywhere I go.
Do Yeong-hwan pops up in the office worker algorithm; Kim I-wol screaming at the ‘Worry Sharing Meeting’ pops up in the "refreshing remarks" flow; and a certain rookie idol Mr. Kim, who stuck a straw into a soju bottle, pops up in the heavy drinkers' compilation.
Now, no matter what the algorithm throws out, it’s impossible for Kim I-wol not to appear. My face is so well-known now that I probably don’t even need to organize the logistics warehouse anymore.
Wanting to escape the suffocating reality, I turned off my phone. In the living room, Park Ju-woo and Kang Gi-yeon were sitting bolt upright on the floor, even though it was nearly bedtime, watching a famous interview program.
‘Huh?’
I was just going to grab some water and head in, but the face of the interviewee on the screen was familiar. Gu Ja-han was on TV.
“Why are you guys watching this?”
“We were flipping through channels to see if anything interesting was on, and we saw the senior,” Kang Gi-yeon replied. So, you’re watching this because you think it’s interesting?
“He’s starting a new project soon…” Park Ju-woo added. Since he was agonizing over scripts late last year, it seemed he was starting his promotions now.
— “You’ve been active as a lead actor for a long time, but I heard you’ve taken on a supporting role for the first time in a while.”
— “Yes. I’m approaching it with the mindset of learning everything from scratch again.”
His posture was as arrogant as ever, but his words were polite. I took a seat on the empty edge of the sofa.
He went on about his philosophy as an actor, doing this and that for better acting, and so on. At least he seemed to have escaped his self-absorption.
“If you’re going to watch something, watch something useful. Like a program on health secrets…”
— “More than anything, I-wol’s help was significant.”
I was looking for the remote when I heard my name through the speakers. I believed I had misheard.
— “I-wol is the one who played the role of Do Yeong-hwan in ‘In My Office,’ right?”
— “That’s correct. Have you seen it?”
— “I haven’t seen the whole drama, but I saw clips, and he was so funny.”
— “It was a unique role. We laughed a lot on set too.”
But I hadn’t misheard. My hearing was perfectly fine, and my face and name were plastered across the subtitles in giant letters.
“Seong-bin, Hyung was mentioned on TV…!”
“Really?”
Hearing the news, Jeong Seong-bin came out of his room, abandoning his homework. You guys are idols by profession. Is it really that fascinating to see me on TV? It’s not even me appearing; it’s just a mention.
— “I-wol gave me a lot of advice when choosing this project as well.”
— “It seems you two discuss projects quite often?”
— “I seek his counsel frequently. He probably finds it annoying because I contact him so much,” Gu Ja-han joked.
That dirty, petty broadcast professional. How dare he deceive the public in front of the cameras?
“Hyung, were you that close with Senior Gu Ja-han…?”
“The senior even sent Hyung a birthday gift. But I didn’t know you were close enough for him to say that.”
See? Someone’s already fallen for it.
The righteous Kim I-wol will not forgive you. Even if questions like ‘Are you close with Senior Gu Ja-han?’ pop up in the comments, I’m going to pretend I didn’t see them. Well, I’m already doing that.
— “Does I-wol have good taste?”
— “He has great insight. His perspective is broad. Sometimes I wonder if I’m talking to someone my own age.”
— “What’s the age gap between I-wol and Ja-han?”
— “It’s over ten years.”
— “Usually, in that case, wouldn’t Ja-han be the one giving advice?”
— “I realized that wasn’t the case. Since then, I haven’t hesitated to listen to his advice.”
— “There must have been some changes in Gu Ja-han’s world of acting then.”
— “I’m not sure about that yet. But our Representative seems to like it.”
The people on the screen laughed harmoniously. I was the only one sitting there like a robot, as if all the laughter had been drained out of me.
Don’t mention me unless you’re promoting spArk! Or I’ll look up the price of that coat and pay you back in gift certificates!
As if my indignation had been transmitted, Gu Ja-han dutifully mentioned spArk as well.
— “He’s also in charge of producing for the team. Hearing I-wol talk makes me think, ‘Ah, the team he’s leading will do well too.’”
— “Is that so?”
— “Because he has talent. Above all, he doesn’t make choices that fail. I think I-wol’s strength is making the best choice for every moment.”
— “That’s high praise. I-wol would be happy if he’s watching.”
— “He’s probably not watching, is he? He’s the type of person who lives a 48-hour day. I’d be lucky if he isn’t organizing meeting materials or something right now.”
The trio sitting on the floor nodded in agreement.
I asked him to promote spArk, and he just blabbered on about useless things.
To shut that man up, we need to make a comeback as soon as possible. So I can tell him to promote the spArk comeback instead of talking nonsense.
There are modifiers like ‘The symbol of summer, ○○’ or ‘The synonym for winter, ○○○.’
It’s a way to aim for a kind of branding effect by consistently releasing music during a specific season. The competition to claim these modifiers is especially fierce in summer and winter, where the seasonality is distinct.
Spring is advantageous for singers releasing love songs or ballads. The fresh atmosphere of spring and the pink seasonal feel of cherry blossoms leave a unique impression that can’t be found in other seasons.
That’s why spArk decided to "rob the empty house." In May, a time when everyone is busy doing events rather than making comebacks.
Actually, making a comeback during this season was a policy set since last year.
The season where the last spring breeze and the strengthening sunlight coexist as spring transitions into summer. The time when people who were looking at flowers on the ground start moving toward the water. Isn’t it the perfect time to capture refreshing visuals?
‘The cinematography for With List was incredible too.’
A brilliant month full of holidays, memories of happy times with family, and events happening everywhere. spArk planned to monopolize this May.
“Wow, Jeho Hyung really looks like a character straight out of a post-apocalyptic game!”
…Though the concept isn’t exactly peaceful.
Choi Je-ho took off his gas mask. We huddled in front of the screen to check the shots, which felt like game art wallpapers. The dusty air quality seemed to transmit right through the screen.
Please wait, Sparklers. A May that isn’t green is coming…
