The First Night in the Wilderness
Angel of Eden. 98
Thus, for three days Uriel served as attendant while also receiving instruction during her meetings with Grandfather. Finally, they arrived at their destination. By now, Uriel had grown completely accustomed to her role as attendant and had become thoroughly pleasing to God.
“We have arrived at our destination.”
“Mm. Thanks to you, the journey was far from dull. Well done.”
“Thank you.”
Until the very moment of arrival, he had kept her in his lap with his member buried inside her. Now he smiled in satisfaction and praised her. Even Uriel’s usually impassive expression softened into a smile at the compliment.
She’s completely smitten. Utterly devoted. Does she like that man so much? Well, I’ll admit he’s good at sex.
“Of course. I exist solely for him.”
Ah, the train has stopped.
When he set Uriel down on the seat and stood, withdrawing his thick shaft, the semen that had filled her womb poured out through her spread folds and splattered onto the cabin floor. After cleaning his member with her mouth, he dressed and spoke as he prepared to leave.
“I’ll go ahead. Clean up and follow.”
“Yes.”
Uriel bowed politely. Once he was gone, she wiped the semen flowing from her and diligently tidied the cabin. After three days of intense sex, the faint musky scent lingering in the room could not be entirely erased, but she cleaned as thoroughly as possible, packed their belongings, and disembarked.
The place they reached after three days of travel was Janifru, the southernmost city in Ryuzan. Further south lay the mountains where the dimensional gate was predicted to open. They had passed through Ryuzan’s capital station, but since it was not their destination, they had only glimpsed the splendid city through the window. As a city bordering monster habitats, it was surrounded by high walls, and the characteristically religious architecture of Ryuzan caught the eye. A long line of passengers streamed out of the station alongside the steaming train.
Even among the bustling crowd, his towering height made him easy to spot. Uriel and God exited the station and headed straight for the gate. As expected of a gate adjacent to monster territory, very few people passed through, and the inspection was thorough. Just when it seemed they might be denied entry, God surprisingly produced a monster hunter’s license and was allowed through after a simple procedure.
How does that simple-minded brute have a monster hunter’s license? They’re supposed to be notoriously difficult to obtain.
“You misunderstand God. He was originally a scientist. He is neither simple nor ignorant.”
Ah, right. He co-managed Red Mask and Eden.
At the time, she had simply accepted it without much thought. So his arrogant, reckless behavior was simply his personality. What a foul temper.
Once past the gate, the two began traveling on foot. Since the monster habitat had no inhabitants, there were no vehicles; they had to walk.
What about food?
“Calorie bars will suffice. If necessary, we can forage locally.”
It would be better to receive support from each city rather than doing this secretly.
I agree.
God took the travel bag Uriel had been dragging and slung it over his shoulder.
“Shall we get moving in earnest?”
“Yes. I will lead the way.”
Once they were a short distance from the city, they began to run in earnest. Thanks to their full-body prosthetics, their speed was tremendous, almost like a vehicle in motion.
Now I understand why archangels have such excellent bodies.
Following a man like that as an attendant must be exhausting.
Because this was uncharted territory with no map data in the implant, AR navigation was unavailable, yet the two pressed forward without hesitation.
How can you find the destination without a map?
“My memory contains the data from all previous dimensional gate operations conducted by archangels. I know the geography of the entire continent to a reasonable degree.”
That’s fascinating. The youngest and I have almost no such memories left. Did the memories split when Second separated?
“Are those two still playing that game?”
It’s to clarify our relationship. Try calling me ‘big sister.’
“You once tried to eliminate me. What changed your mind?”
It’s too late to erase you now. The experiences you’ve accumulated have strengthened your sense of self. Because of that, I can barely remember the memories that were implanted along with you.
It was true. Watching Kyubey and Uriel think and act independently even while she slept made her feel as though three separate beings lived inside one body. After all, the memories and experiences Kyubey or Uriel accumulated in places she could neither see nor hear belonged entirely to them; she could not recall them. Likewise, any knowledge she gained about music remained unknown to them. She still could not understand how such a phenomenon was possible with a single brain.
Well, isn’t it fine? I’m happy to have two big sisters now.
Hear that? The youngest has already accepted it.
“More importantly, please stop the act. It’s painful to listen to.”
No. I’m training you to express proper emotions. Endure it.
There was still no sign of improvement, yet Kyubey continued her enthusiastic training. Uriel suspected the habits were already too deeply ingrained to change, but she made an effort for Kyubey’s sake.
God followed Uriel in silence. After traveling for a long time, they arrived at the entrance to a deep mountain forest as dusk fell. Uriel, having found a suitable clearing, spoke to God who had been following her.
“I will prepare for camping here.”
“I’ll go tidy up the surroundings.”
Leaving the travel bag in the small clearing, he walked into the darkening forest as casually as if taking a stroll. While Uriel took out various tools from the bag and prepared the campsite, distant screams—presumably from monsters—echoed repeatedly.
‘Tidying up’ meant dealing with monsters?
“Yes. Being attacked while sleeping would be troublesome.”
I’d like to see a monster in person.
She had seen them in photos and videos, but she still wanted to witness a living, moving monster with her own eyes.
“You’ll see more than enough starting tomorrow morning. We’ll be entering the monster territory proper.”
Why haven’t we encountered any until now?
“We’ve been traveling along the boundary between human habitats and monster habitats, so there were none.”
Calling them ‘human habitats’ makes people sound like monsters too. Say ‘residential areas.’
“My apologies.”
Uriel swiftly set up a capsule-style portable tent, secured it to the ground, gathered branches in front of it, and lit a fire. She laid a soft mat inside the tent and prepared the bedding. Not long after, God appeared, soaked from head to toe. Uriel stripped off his clothes and shoes, hung them near the fire to dry, wiped his body with a towel, and unfolded a portable chair. Sitting naked on the chair, God chewed on a calorie bar she had prepared in advance.
Something about this feels so natural that I can’t help but stare blankly.
Right. But why aren’t those two saying a word to each other?
After silently finishing his calorie bar, God entered the tent and said,
“The monsters inhabiting this area have changed. Grow wolves live here, so keep that in mind.”
“Understood.”
After God disappeared into the tent, Uriel began her regular report. In the dark, quiet forest, the faint chirping of insects mingled with the flickering flames, creating a tranquil atmosphere.
The night forest feels pleasant too. The mood is really nice.
It’s all good, but there’s no man. I wanted to try outdoor play in the woods.
Big sister, you’re far too obsessed with men. Try enjoying the atmosphere for once.
Hmph. A good atmosphere is best enjoyed with a good man. I’m going to go enjoy myself.
With those words, Kyubey retreated into the mental space. Seeing her like that made it easy to understand why succubi chose lascivious women as targets for propagation.
“Kyubey seems like a direct embodiment of Elisha’s lust.”
Ah, is the report finished? More importantly, I’m not that lascivious a woman.
“In the end, both Kyubey and I originate from Elisha. If you think of Kyubey’s lust and my submissiveness as having separated from Elisha, doesn’t that explain her current state?”
Now that you mention it…
Kyubey had once said that Elisha had become remarkably calm and that her submissive side had diminished. If that was the influence of Kyubey and Uriel separating from her, it made sense. Meanwhile, Uriel showed no intention of entering the tent even after finishing her report. She only occasionally added firewood to the fire.
Why aren’t you going into the tent?
“I am standing watch. I must prevent the equipment from being damaged by a possible monster attack.”
Will you switch shifts with God later?
“Until the dimensional gate is closed, the attending archangel handles the watch alone. It is to maintain combat readiness.”
That sounds harsh.
God’s full-body prosthetic meant he didn’t need much sleep, so why did only the archangel have to stand watch?
“This rule was established before full-body prosthetics existed. It has become a tradition, so we uphold it.”
Let’s switch later. I’ll take the watch, so get some rest.
“Thank you for your consideration.”
After promising to take the watch, Uriel entered the mental space and found Kyubey in the midst of an orgy with three men. A sigh escaped her at the obscene sounds filling the space.
“Big sister, I’m going to sleep, so please keep it down.”
“Haang! Harder!”
“Ah, seriously.”
That lust-driven succubus masturbated at every opportunity, subjecting her to noise pollution. Even earphones couldn’t block the sounds, making sleep difficult. She needed a solution. This mental space was a virtual construct within the mind. The room was Kyubey’s recreation of the master’s room. In that case, perhaps she could create her own room as well? She decided to try.
She strongly visualized the image of a room. Similar in size to this one, with ordinary white wallpaper and a wooden floor. The more clearly she pictured it in her mind with her eyes closed, the more the room took shape.
“There!”
At the sudden intuition, she opened her eyes to find a door she had never seen before on one wall of Kyubey’s room. Did it connect to the new space? She opened the ordinary wooden door and stepped through, revealing a room exactly as she had imagined.
“Wow, it actually worked. Amazing.”
Though empty, she was delighted to have her own space. She also liked how closing the door made everything quiet. She wanted to decorate the room however she pleased, but for now she needed to sleep in preparation for her watch. She manifested a bed, jumped onto it, and lay down. The alarm was set. Time to sleep.
She woke to the loud alarm. Dismissing the clocks, she rose from the bed and stretched. Even though she was only a mental body, she wondered why she still felt sluggish after waking. She returned to the surface to relieve Uriel.
The forest remained dark, with only the campfire glowing. Uriel stood watch in silence.
I’m here. Nothing happened, right?
“No. The monsters are keeping their distance, wary of the strong scent of monster blood spread around us.”
I’ll watch the fire now. Go inside and rest.
“Thank you.”
Although the full-body prosthetic eliminated physical fatigue, mental fatigue had accumulated. To relieve it, Uriel entered the mental space, leaving Elisha in control of the body for the first time in a while. Hmm, controlling the body directly felt different from merely being conscious. It was like the difference between direct and indirect experience. Moving the body herself, she could distinctly feel the warmth of the campfire mingling with the chilly air, making the atmosphere even more pleasant.
Standing watch alone meant she had to remain constantly alert to her surroundings, leaving her with nothing else to do. The time passed far more tediously and emptily than expected. After about four hours, the forest, previously swallowed in darkness, began to glow with the warm light heralding morning.
Good work.
“It was only four hours. Did you sleep well?”
Thanks to you, I slept soundly.
Once Uriel regained control of the body, she extinguished the fire, cleared the embers, and began tidying the area around the tent. After quickly finishing everything except the tent itself, she entered the tent, grasped God’s still-sleeping, fully erect member, and began to pleasure him.
Uh, you’re doing this first thing in the morning?
“It is a routine extraction.”
No matter how I look at it, it seems like you’re just doing it because you enjoy it.
With her skilled hand movements, semen soon spurted from his now even larger shaft. Uriel took the glans into her mouth, swallowed every drop without spilling any, carefully drew out the remaining semen from the urethra, and spoke.
“Chuuup. It is time to wake up.”
“Mmm, good morning.”
Rising with a refreshed expression, he received Uriel’s attentive service while dressing and chewing on a calorie bar before stepping out of the tent. Afterward, she diligently cleaned the interior and returned the tent to its capsule form. Once preparations were complete, the two set off again. Deep in the mountains with no proper paths, their travel speed had decreased significantly. Bored with merely observing, Elisha retreated into the mental space to enjoy her hobbies.
