Episode 83: We Safely Wrapped Up Our First Victory Celebration Dinner
We wrapped up our first victory celebration dinner without any incidents.
Everyone was buzzing from the first match and first win, making the second dinner party incredibly rowdy and fun. Even Coach was laughing and making a fuss, which says it all.
We didn't drink a drop, but we were so hyped it was like we were drunk, and we got a few glares from the staff—but hey, cut us some slack for just one day.
After the dinner, I headed back to the dorm and straight to my room to boot up my PC.
There was one minor slip-up, but we won the game, I snagged MVP, and the dinner went smoothly, so yeah, a successful return debut day.
So, as planned, I fired up my stream today. If we'd lost, maybe I'd skip it, but winning meant I had to go live. No prior announcement, though.
Seo-hee said she'd be streaming too after a long hiatus. I'd already done my comeback stream recently, but hers was a real gap, so she's probably sweating it.
Today's stream wasn't solo.
Not quite a collab since the partner's not a full-time streamer, but I planned to bring Arang along.
I hadn't originally intended to, but she begged to join because it'd be fun. So now Arang was in my room.
It was 11 PM late at night when the stream kicked off. Aranggaiger sat right next to me.
"Hey everyone. Dice, Seo Yeonwoo here. Nice to see you."
"Hi, hi~"
"Ah, right, introductions. This adorable one here is our stream manager, the team baby, and sub top laner—Aranggaiger!"
"Hi! It's Aranggaiger!"
Even after the apology post and promising no more, doubters about Aranggaiger kept popping up. Oh well, she'd sworn it off now.
"Haha, Aranggaiger's young, so she pulled some dumb stunts... But she apologized and promised no more, so go easy on her, yeah? Right, Arang?"
"…."
"Arang?"
Why isn't she talking?
"Uh, yeah, I swear I won't."
"Took you long enough~?"
"I-I was thinking."
"Do it again and you're in real trouble."
"Hing…."
Should've scolded her harder last time. One-hour lecture wasn't enough?
Aranggaiger as Proud's true identity? She tilted her head like why are you staring? That'd be hilarious.
"Anyway, yep—opening match, clean 2-0 sweep! MVP in the bag. Who am I? Dice, Seo Yeonwoo. Called it a review stream, but really just here to brag."
Ugly my ass. Opponent was ex-div 2 mid. Praise me nicely—it's not gonna kill you.
"C'mon, stop the weird comments and just praise me already."
"Pudge is ugly."
"Quiet."
Not that kind of praise.
"I mean real praise. Not Arang—me. Geez, saying I played well won't hurt."
Argh, seriously!
"Nut what?! It was just a slip-up. Slip of the tongue. Drop the interview—I was mortified too."
"It was hilarious."
"Arang, you wanna get kicked out?"
"Spare me!"
How is this me bullying her? She's giggling and messing around. I'm the victim here, for real.
"I'm not bullying her—she's bullying me. You know how hard she laughed after the interview? Thought the roof would cave."
"Wasn't just me."
"This kid."
"No violence! No violence!"
"When did I hit you?!"
"Nah, he cheesed with Lighthouse Keeper CS farming. Fair fight and I'd wreck."
She reacts lightning-fast to this stuff.
"Arang."
"…Hanseo oppa."
"I don't call him oppa anyway. Hanseo hyung. Starter match? What was that?"
"Cowardly Lighthouse Keeper CS only win."
"Right, right—got smashed by Swordsman as Lighthouse Keeper."
"Didn't get smashed!!"
Sure.
We bantered like that, having a pretty fun stream time.
"Seo-hee's streaming now too, right? Crisu. Wanna peek since I'm bored?"
"She said she'd kill if trolls show up."
"Crisu raid next time. Anyway, not much else to say—time to wrap? It's late, and we can't stay up too long."
Two hours was plenty. Broke down the match in detail, spilled dinner stories, dorm life bits—fun, but rest time now.
"Not a pro streamer, so gotta manage schedule. Wednesday match—watch that. Win and I'll stream again, so cheer us on. Good night, sleep well."
"Bye bye~"
Thankfully, we ended the stream smoothly without issues. The long-awaited stream left me wiped, so I stretched out my stiff body.
"Kuh~ Haah, that was tough."
"I had fun."
"Me too. Anyway, head to your room and sleep. Won't grow if you don't. Oh, Seo-hee still streaming?"
"Can I crash here then?"
"No. Go."
"Harsh. We got two beds anyway."
"Seo-hee won't care if you go to hers. Just go."
Two beds or three, no means no. I half-shooed Aranggaiger out and flopped into bed. Ahh, bliss. Pure heaven. Date had changed, but it finally felt like the day was done.
...After turning from man to woman, my heart felt more at ease than ever. As sleep crept in, my phone buzzed. A message from Dad.
A shy-faced puppy firing off fireworks made me chuckle.
I sent a bowing puppy emoticon and closed my eyes.
Felt like sweet dreams ahead.
