Filming Session (Part 3)
After completing the interview filming, the man's expression appeared stern.
He didn't sip the water placed in front of him between takes.
It seemed a bit stubborn to film while constantly staring at the lights and cameras.
Just sip it.
A bit pitiful, so I walked over and picked up one.
But how was I supposed to offer it?
I hesitated for a moment, but since no answer came, I simply lifted the water bottle and put it to his mouth.
So the man staring at me.
Did he not notice me approaching?
Was filming that difficult?
"Why are you so distracted? Drink some water."
"Eh? Uh... Thanks, it's just a bit tough?"
"Was filming that hard?"
"I've never been in front of lights and camera lenses for this long before."
"Then how did you manage during the debate?"
"You did well back then."
"Back then, I didn't feel like I was fighting with the panelist."
"I see."
"Right."
The conversation had run out.
I needed to ask more questions.
What should I ask?
I should have thought of something earlier...
So, like in the hallway earlier, the two of us stood watching Jeong Sujin film.
Self-introduction.
What kind of life had she lived?
Why did she apply? And so on.
This man was answering questions and other questions poured out.
So many.
I also had to answer those questions.
"Then, Sujin, what will you do if you have a child?"
"That's right. I..."
Child.
Yes.
Can I have a child today?
So I immediately turned my head and asked.
"What will you do if you have a child?"
"Huh? What?"
What?
Why is he pretending not to hear?
"What will you do if you have a child?"
The two of us fell silent, then sharp questions came poking at us, leaving us speechless.
If I have a child... what will I do...
What can I do? Raise the child well the way I've been doing so far.
That's all I can do as a father in this crazy world for my child.
I won't be able to give individual attention to one by one like before, or know how he spent his day today.
I won't be able to take photos of every moment the child grows up and record it in video so I can't show the child when he gets bigger.
How about visiting once a year?
Can I even face him on each of their birthdays?
The life I have to live from now on is one where I have to have sex 5 times a day for 20 years?
I can't.
How?
Even today, I was so tired that I took a nap in the middle, so in this reality where I have to acknowledge the existence of concubines, I struggled to set standards for concubines and to control women who try to use children as tools.
I have to do more from now on.
Now, I have to look more carefully to choose a wife to fulfill the role of wife, but I don't know.
Anyway, I'm trying to pursue as much irresponsible pleasure as possible in sex, but I have to take responsibility for the child.
This was the way I could survive the best, and the world changed so that my value increased and I don't have to take responsibility for women, but I have to take responsibility for the child.
Because even if I can eat well and live well, I have to take responsibility for what I've done.
Of course, I'll eat it up with the government.
But I really don't know how to choose the real wife.
No answer comes.
"Why no answer?"
"Just... thinking a bit. Of course I have to take responsibility."
"How?"
Persistent.
Was this the kind of person?
"By actively cooperating with the policies the government puts out to ensure all my children can receive government support?"
Behind it, it's a scheme I made with the men.
"And?"
"Personally, I should also try to fulfill the role of father?"
"I see..."
"Then you?"
Suddenly asking so many questions made me feel a bit uncomfortable, and I asked out of curiosity.
"What?"
"What will you raise well?"
"Well... I have to raise them well."
This is a bit disappointing.
"I see."
The answer didn't come to mind.
Hmm.
Was this the kind of person?
"Then, how about changing your last name?"
"What? I'm a Park anyway, so I don't really think about it."
What?
Thinking this medical student has deep thoughts is prejudice, fixed idea.
Or is this the gender difference?
Or is it that he doesn't think much about this issue.
I don't know.
While talking like this, Jeong Sujin's interview filming ended.
"Next, I'll film Yujin."
"Then I'll go film too."
"Alright."
With a slightly uncomfortable gait, he slowly walked in front of the camera.
"Yujin seems to be in a lot of pain still?"
"I guess so."
"Did you watch me filming well?"
"Eh..."
I didn't watch well?
"No."
"What? Why didn't you watch?"
"I was so focused on the conversation that I didn't notice."
So he's mumbling and teasing from the side.
"So what did you talk about?"
"Just about the questions that came up during your interview."
"What?"
"About what you'll do if you have a child."
"Really? What did you say?"
"I said I'd take responsibility. What else would I say."
"Oh... really?"
"What did you answer?"
"I said I'd live a life taking responsibility for the child."
"Really?"
"Of course. I didn't come here without thinking."
"Hmm. I see."
The two of them are exchanging looks, each wanting to know the other's true feelings.
Truly.
I don't know what this is all about.
But even if I can't believe everything they say, it was not a meaningless time to be able to sense their hearts somewhat.
"Then the interview filming will be done tomorrow after Song Hanna feels better, and we'll move on to a simple game filming."
"Writer unnie. What game is it?"
"Yeah, Yujin. I brought various preparations, so let's try filming Love Jenga first?"
"How intense is your Love Jenga, unnie?"
"Not soft, I brought soft ones. Even so, how can you film such things."
Is it Love Jenga?
Draw a card with missions written and complete them and raise the Jenga?
"The camera can be rolled but it might not be used, so let's just play one comfortably."
Then the table and Jenga setup was done very quickly.
Truly, do we have to film even this...
After playing one, since Seonghun and Park Yujin are shy, it ended quickly without being fun.
"Writer unnie, I can't use this."
A strong feeling of wasting time came when contact was made.
"The person who said they'd come seems to have arrived. What should we do?"
"You said you were a civil servant who knows Seonghun well, right?"
"Yes."
Since I joined the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and she's been my dedicated official, she knows, right?
"Then since the two of you must be tired, while filming an interview asking Seonghun about you, you'll rest while having dinner."
"Understood. Then I'll go greet for a moment."
After apologizing, going down to the lobby, an acquaintance is waiting.
As always, a woman in a semi-formal suit exuding maturity.
Her face looks a bit tired?
"Thanks for coming."
"No, but is this really a necessary place for me?"
"Right."
Since I did two cuts.
"Yeah. It's necessary. But you look a bit tired? Can you film?"
"Since I've had to work nonstop lately, I can film. But will it show?"
"Not that much, so no need to worry, and dinner?"
"I ate some konjac jelly on the way, so it's fine."
Is that a 0 calorie product?
I need to properly eat dinner.
Then it should be okay.
"Enough, there's time to eat dinner, so let's go together and eat and come up. I'll tell you."
After contacting to eat dinner together and go up, going to the hotel buffet and feeding dinner.
Even though I told him to eat a lot because filming would be hard, he ate little.
Why?
After eating dinner silently together, they went up again.
"Hello. This is the writer Bae Su-ji filming the interview with Seonghun. Thank you for your cooperation in the filming."
"I'm Lee Ayoung, working as a diplomat. Nice to meet you."
After eating dinner together, they entered the prepared room for the filming at the scheduled time, but the gazes around were intense.
Especially Jeong Sujin.
She had been having some strange competitive spirit since earlier, why?
"Hello. I'm Park Yujin, who will be filming together. Nice to meet you."
"Is this the person you mentioned? Hello, I'm Jeong Sujin. Nice to meet you since we'll be filming together."
It seems like she's deliberately coming close to my side and crossing arms in greeting, clearly trying to intimidate.
It feels like deja vu from the morning during self-introduction, already tiring.
"I'm sorry for suddenly participating in filming and causing trouble to everyone."
"I'm Lee Ayoung, as I mentioned earlier. Nice to meet you."
Hah... the remaining filming will be tough too.
