Be Honest, Isn't This Still Not Enough?
Anyway, even the third convoy, which had armored up tight with plate armor and ironclad defenses, got utterly crushed under overwhelming firepower and vanished without a trace. Maybe that's why. Right after I decisively wiped out those orcs in full armor like that and drilled some manners into the armored lizards too...

"Whoa?"
The results window pops up instantly, and the nearby forest and road map vanish right before my eyes. It feels like it's kicking me out before I can even say goodbye to the NPC party members who've been grinding with me all this time, which leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth...
But when they ask, "So what can you even do?" honestly, my answer's pretty lame. So I decide to cut the cringy bullshit, head home for a quick rest, and then get back to climbing.
But once I actually get home and claim the rewards right away, it's... well, how do I put this?
"A shotgun? Hmm, shotgun, huh..."
With a clear chime, I claim the #1 rewards from floors 11 and 12. One's a shotgun that looks like an assault rifle but fires shotgun shells instead of 5.56 or 7.62 rounds. The other's a long-lost HP recovery potion. After pocketing both...
I can't shake the nagging thought: Is this really enough?
And yeah, it makes sense. Sure, the 30mm autocannon's carving out a spot as my new all-purpose solver. But against enemies—orcs, sure—who are decked in full-body armor plus tower shields, it doesn't penetrate like I'd hoped. It's not delivering the massive performance you'd expect from fat 30mm rounds that a normie like me imagined...
Naturally, my brain's screaming, Is this right? A lot.
But after digging into it online out of curiosity...
"Ah, so that's how it is!"
Turns out our boy Wilson—the M240 super chaingun—isn't some dedicated anti-armor beast. It's a multi-role gun for helos and APCs. No wonder its penetration falls short of what I pictured.
Of course, against unarmored orcs, it was perfect for anti-infantry, shredding them like tissue. The subtle penetration plus their tough orc hides and skin created synergy(?), transmitting shock perfectly and bursting them open with every hit.
Humans might just get clean holes from overkill, but yeah. Realizing that leaves me with this weird mix of "huh, who knew?"
But screw that—the real issue is, like I felt on floor 12, 30mm only works against stuff without combined armor and shields. Against tougher foes, Wilson's shitty accuracy gets worse, and ammo burn is insane.
Using Alabong for suppression? One shot, and warhead regen takes a whopping 30 seconds.
"This won't cut it. I need something way stronger."
That thought hits naturally. Especially since I burned all my 'Enlightenment' buffs wiping the convoys—no accuracy boosters left.
Accuracy boosts, firepower amps—my head's full of that shit.
And yeah, it's kinda lame to say, but everything I've done up to floor 12? Just hosing bullets mindlessly. Nothing more, nothing less.
"Oh right, tons of enemies this time, but no scraps worth scavenging left."
I'd seen it on hunter forums before... Material gathering's the main cash cow for tower climbers. But my spray-n-pray turned monsters into not even monster chunks anymore.
At this rate, climbing gets iffy, and I can't pay rent—turning into the "guy who lives in the tower." My shoulders twitch just thinking about it.
Sure, this month's rent and bills are covered by my old part-time savings. No immediate crisis.
"But potions... selling 'em's scary. They're backup lives, and way too pricey."
The forum vets warned: Sell wrong, and you pull aggro from guilds or clans hunting extra potions. They might track you down.
Everything's too valuable to offload easy.
"Fuck, even wanna sell spare guns... but government's like 'YOU!' and swarms me."
Or like I said, guns are a nightmare to sell legally in Korea.
I rack my brain endlessly, hunting solutions. But solo, no good answers.
After groaning and head-clutching solo...
Yeah, can't do this alone. I hit the hunter community, digging for vet solutions to similar jams.
About 30 minutes of forum crawling later...
I finally snag a promising post. This'll do.
