Appropriate Firepower Solves Most Problems

And thanks to that awesome upgrade, now that I've got some shiny new gear mounted up—
Hardcore Difficulty Floor 7 Entry!

Remaining Enemy Monsters: 6
Monster List
Trolls x3
Orcs x3
"Hello, motherfucker!"
"Kuek?"
"Bwoooong!"
"Keruk, kuwaaaak!!"
I dove straight into floor 7 with a super happy vibe, but damn, the random spawn point was in some godforsaken corner. It took over four hours just to reach the monsters—a total bullshit stroke of bad luck.
But once I spotted our monster pals—those dog-headed trolls and three orc-looking orcs glaring each other down—it hit me that the intended strategy was probably to let the two groups duke it out. My body froze for a split second...
But that lasted about as long as it takes to blink.
"Guns make the light, and right now I'm feeling mighty!"
-BRATATATATATATA!!!
"Kieeeek!!"
"Kyaaaak!"
"Sigh, that sweet gunpowder aroma."
Whatever. One side got the 20mm autocannon hosing them down mercilessly, the other the 15mm heavy machine gun. Even orcs and trolls—with their thick, tough hides way beyond any goblin—turned into sausage in a blender in seconds flat.
And just like that, I wrecked them good.

"Mmm, yummy."
Just like always, everything was cleaned up the instant I opened fire, keeping the actual combat time ridiculously short. And floor 8 was the same deal.
There, five armored orcs charged at me swinging massive axes and clubs.
-BRATATATATATATA!!!
"Kweeeik!"
"Ah, craving some pork belly."
Thanks to my trait nullifying mana shields, it was pure physical brawl time. The 15mm might've pinged off a few shots, but the 20mm? No mercy—crunch, smash, splat! It shredded those orcs armor and all.
Super satisfying. I inhaled the scent of grilled orc flesh from the red-hot barrel scorching their hides and felt great. Sure, the bullshit travel times on 7 and 8 left me wiped, so I had to head home...
◈ Owl's Talisman (B-Grade) Acquired!

"Whoa, this is orgasmic."
The rewards were exactly what I needed most—accuracy and magazines. After hiking over 12 hours total on 7 and 8, this felt like solid payback.
But the next morning, after steamrolling to floor 8, grabbing rewards, and crashing hard...
"Let's go, Wilson!"
Solo tower climbing was getting boring, so I named my all-purpose problem-solver 20mm autocannon "Wilson" and charged into floor 9.
Hardcore Difficulty Floor 9 Entry!
Objective: Damage monster's defense by 50% or more
Auxiliary Objective: Damage monster's defense by 75% or more
Bonus Objective: Eliminate the monster
"Huh?"
Unlike floors up to 8, this one wanted me to chip away at defense—and it wasn't even the boss floor 10 yet. What kind of boss-monster tooltip was this?
Plus, instead of a huge map, it was just a 50-60 pyeong clearing with me and something turtle-shell-shaped plopped in the middle. I tilted my head, wondering if this was right.
But nah. It looked tough, sure, but still a low-floor scrub under 10. Motionless, rooted to the spot. I nodded and decided to test my guns on it, like with the goblin shaman on 5.
Obviously, 9mm pistol rounds and 5.56mm rifle rounds? Full 50-round mags did jack squat. Made me wonder why even bother with 5.56mm in real life when pistols are one thing, but rifles should've been better.
7.62mm rifle rounds just sparked and ricocheted. Even longer machine gun rounds barely scratched.
Infuriated, I unloaded ironcore rounds from the 15mm Vladimir...
-Tingtingtingtingtangting!
"Rhythm's pissing me off a bit."
This 15mm pierced the orcs' thin scrap metal armor on 8, but on turtle-shell boy? Just scratches. Wild.
So I dumped 200 rounds full (original 50 + infinite 50 + aux 100), took a one-minute breather for infinite mag cooldown...
-Clack!
"Alright, let's see if you tank this."
I pulled Wilson—pre-loaded 50 + infinite + new A-grade aux for another 200—and unleashed hell on that turtle back.
Maybe Wilson's sheer class difference, or all those prior hits weakened it? 20mm shells at 500-600 RPM hammered away—cracks spiderwebbing, chunks exploding into shrapnel.
After 200 rounds, just empty clicks...
-Crack... boom!
"Sheeeek, kiyel!"
A hole punched through the damn shell, the battered section collapsing off. I reconfirmed Wilson was my ultimate solver and busted out a victory twerk.
