Chapter 7
Chapter 7
Easy Mode Life (Planned)
The build research was nearly complete.
Starting from Zombie Camilla, which specialized in lifesteal and chasing enemies, to the sturdy Tank Camilla, all the way to Scourge Camilla, whose entire purpose in life was dragging the enemy ADC down with her.
Among them, there were four builds that seemed reasonably usable.
I’d originally drafted around twenty, so salvaging about a quarter of them wasn’t bad at all.
‘Back then, I only used two builds anyway.’
Compared to the old days when I rotated between just two builds depending on the situation, things had improved dramatically. It definitely felt easier to breathe now.
There were several reasons why the number of viable builds increased.
The meta had changed since the era I used to play in, and research had become much easier than before.
But the biggest reason was definitely my changed body.
‘This physical ability is ridiculous.’
My original self hadn’t exactly been physically lacking, but this body was different.
The more I adapted to it, the more plays became possible.
The kind of plays only top-tier rankers or professionals could pull off, the kind I’d only imagined in my head before—I realized they could now become reality.
Truly beyond the heavens. It wouldn’t even be an exaggeration to say my reaction speed and dynamic vision had surpassed human limits.
‘Maybe it’s because this is a game character.’
For some reason, my body also felt healthier overall.
Honestly, it was embarrassing to admit, but despite having been a man, my old body was definitely weaker than this one. Well, that was inevitable when all I did was play games all day without exercising.
But what about Camilla?
Fundamentally, she was a body meant to operate on the battlefield. According to Abyss lore, heroes possessed mana flowing through their bodies to use skills, though I wasn’t sure about that part. Still, one thing was obvious—this body was naturally durable.
“I’m still perfectly fine even after sitting in front of the computer this long.”
Ever since waking up transformed and discovering the game had become a god-tier game, I’d done nothing but play.
I’d sat there for nearly an entire day, occasionally stuffing snacks into my mouth, yet my body felt no fatigue whatsoever.
Back then, twelve hours would’ve been my limit at most. And after that, I would’ve collapsed onto the bed groaning in agony.
‘What kind of stamina is this….'
But now?
I’d only stopped playing because I thought Abyss was good enough for today. Physically, I was still perfectly energetic. If I wanted to, I could continue playing.
Despite staying awake all night, I wasn’t even sleepy. Had I genuinely transcended humanity or something?
‘Maybe I should test that later too.’
Like how long I could survive without sleep.
I was also curious about my overall physical specs. How fast I could run a hundred meters, how much weight I could lift in compound exercises, things like that….
But that too was a problem for later.
Because there was something I needed to do first.
Honestly, it was something I should’ve done from the beginning, but I’d gotten distracted by gaming.
My brain really was completely broken.
Well, at least I came to my senses now.
“What should I check first?”
I rested my hand on the desk and looked around.
Did I need to search through everything here? Depending on the situation, I really might have to.
Feeling annoyed already, I let out a sigh and started rummaging through the bookshelf.
It was information-gathering time.
“Hmm….”
Contrary to expectations, the investigation ended surprisingly quickly.
There was no need to search through bookshelves or drawers.
Simply opening an old wallet was enough.
Inside it were several familiar brand cards and some bills.
And among them was something unfamiliar.
A card depicting a woman who absolutely couldn’t have been me, yet whose appearance had already become familiar.
An ID card.
The ID card that should’ve contained my original name and appearance now held something entirely different.
-Moon Ah
[xx-ro, Dobong-gu, Seoul]
Silver hair reaching down to the shoulders. Blue eyes rarely seen among Koreans and skin white as snow.
An unbelievably beautiful woman that anyone would admire stared out from the ID card.
Alongside a name I’d never seen before.
“Moon Ah….”
Was it one of those one-syllable names? Moon as the surname and Ah as the given name?
It was a strange name.
Though it did at least retain my original surname, Moon.
“Moon Ah, Moon Ah… Moon Ah.”
I repeatedly muttered the unfamiliar name, briefly savoring the strange feeling.
Then I realized something.
The unrealistically beautiful woman who seemed like she shouldn’t exist in reality was being officially recognized as existing in this world through this ID card.
And that ID card had originally been mine. Most likely, it still belonged to me even now.
Which meant—
I truly had become a game character.
The graduation album and old photographs I checked afterward were the same.
Instead of my original self, every single image had changed into Camilla—no, Moon Ah.
Reality itself had been rewritten without needing any extra adjustments.
Since this was one of the possibilities I’d already considered, it wasn’t particularly shocking.
“Nice that there’s no troublesome cleanup needed.”
The fact that there was nothing I personally needed to handle satisfied me.
I’d considered worst-case scenarios where my original self was treated as missing or dead while my current self became an unidentified person.
If things had turned out that way, I’d honestly wondered whether I’d need to find a shady broker like in movies and get a new identity.
History itself had been altered.
It was easiest to think of it as Moon Ah replacing my original existence entirely.
Naturally, people’s memories and perceptions must’ve changed alongside it.
The fact that I’d barely interacted with other people in daily life actually worked to my advantage in a situation like this.
“Then what do I need to do now….”
Nothing, really.
No matter how much I searched my mind, nothing immediately came to me.
To begin with, I’d been an unemployed shut-in. No one contacted me, and therefore I had no appointments either.
A life where dying alone in my room while gaming wouldn’t even seem strange.
And now I’d suddenly turned into a game character?
If you asked whether this was a gain or a loss, it was obviously a gain.
An unemployed gaming addict who could barely function as a human being and only knew how to play dead games had suddenly become a TS beautiful girl, opening all kinds of new possibilities.
And on top of that, the only game I played had somehow become a god-tier game.
“A top-ranked player suddenly appearing in a god-tier game, only to turn out to be the prettiest girl in the province? This is unstoppable….”
It felt like my life had suddenly switched into easy mode.
I’d start streaming online, receive massive donations from suspiciously wealthy viewers, and get endlessly pampered.
The world itself would become biased in my favor!
Right as I grinned at the thought of effortlessly coasting through life—
“Ah.”
A violent signal from my stomach made me clutch my abdomen with both hands.
Come to think of it, I hadn’t eaten properly all day. I’d only picked at a few snacks while gaming.
“Guess I should eat first.”
My rosy future—
Whether it hadn’t arrived yet or had perhaps already begun—
Could be planned out slowly later.
Abyss had become so unimaginably huge that countless communities sprang up around it.
Places dedicated purely to sharing game information, communities for finding ranked teammates, forums solely for strategy guides, others focused only on the professional league.
The user base had diversified so much that there were too many communities to count.
Yet among all of them, there was one place considered the original foundation.
[Abyss Gallery]
A gallery said to have existed since the very birth of Abyss itself.
At this very moment, a highly upvoted featured post rapidly climbed the front page while comments flooded beneath it.
<Kayak was alive>
They hadn’t logged in once all this time… I’m just glad they’re playing again somehow
Normally, this would’ve been the sort of ordinary post that got buried immediately.
But the reason it drew so much attention was because of who wrote it.
The author was one of the gallery moderators who had managed the Abyss Gallery for a very long time.
Since the ancient days before Abyss became a god-tier game.
Naturally, the gallery regulars couldn’t help but take interest.
Especially because the moderator usually never made posts and simply managed the gallery quietly.
-?? Who’s Kayak?
-Ah you don’t know Kayak?
-“The Return of the King”
-You don’t know the father of Abyss, Camilla’s boyfriend, the romance of Season 4, Kayak?
-Newbies are adorable lol
-It’s natural not to know him, he’s from the era when concurrent players were only 2~3k
-I saw that name before too, guess they’re famous
-These guys are pretending they know so hard;;
-The mod name-dropping someone hmm…
-Impeachment… perhaps?
-So is Kayak actually playing lately?
Yeah lol they showed up on Nikang’s stream yesterday
They matched with Nikang like six games in a row
This bastard became a stream sniperwwwww
-This person also used to stream occasionally back in the day to promote the game. Don’t they stream anymore?
Kayak streamed before?
Yeah people from the gallery used to go watch and stuff. Though it only averaged like 30 viewers
Ah… the old no-mic no-cam Challenger climbing streams… those were the days
-I got curious and watched Nikang’s VOD. What kind of person even is this?
Why?
They’re insanely good one second then insanely bad the next… kinda weird
I saw it too, feels like they’re in “old man refining builds” mode
In both good and bad ways, they’re definitely not normal
Fr someone who plays thousands of games of Camilla every season can’t possibly be sane
A person exists who twists their whole body into knots to hit Challenger with Camilla even pros discarded for being trash? Bbeeshung bbashung
I don’t know who this is but just hearing the explanation makes me dizzy
They’re just insane…
What the hell have you been doing all this time, Kayak?!
