No Stopping a Level-8 Tension Doggo (1)
I dressed comfortably.
Brown jacket, baggy black pants. Yeah—heading to the amusement park, so throw something on and go.
Casual and comfy is the right call. I'm gonna ride the absolute hell out of every attraction. Eheheh.
"I'm all dressed!"
"Alright. Have fun."
"Yes!!"
"You got everything? Wallet?"
"Eheheh. Wallet right here!!"
I held up my phone. Mom looked completely flustered… or so I expected. She just nodded.
Then she even gave me a tip.
"Battery full?"
"Yep. Charged it."
Even Mom knows. Heh… I need to level up more. If Mom already knows this stuff, I've gotta know even more.
I have to stay trendy, after all.
Anyway, phone and… yeah. Just the phone is enough.
Everything else is pay-to-go. Eheheh.
"Really, have fun out there."
"Yes!! Slower than a plane…!! Faster than a turtle… Zoom zoom!!"
I crouched like a ninja and bolted for the front door.
Slipped on my comfy sneakers and stepped outside.
The second I was out, I called Motteok.
"Motteok."
"I'm still on the subway."
"I just stepped out the front door!! I'll head straight there and wait!"
"Mm… okay."
"Yes!! But. When are you getting there?"
"Hahaha. You just said you're still at the door. Why?"
"I… if I take a taxi I'll be there in no time."
Current Tension Level: 8.2. I could not contain this tension. It was just fun. Exciting. What was I supposed to do!!
"So should I hop on first?"
"By yourself? Uh… don't wait, just go."
"Uwoh!! Yes!! Hanging up then!!"
Permission secured. Muhaha. Nice. Nice. I'd go ahead and snag a spot. Eheheh.
It had been so long since I felt this pumped. I walked along giggling to myself.
I grabbed a taxi right away and headed for the amusement park.
Took about twenty minutes. The moment I arrived I went straight inside.
I can just play first. Yeah, play first—except… my tension suddenly plummeted.
"Kinda… feels like that."
Everyone else was gathered up laughing and having a blast, and the thought of playing alone hit me… hmm.
Tension dropped straight to Level 5. I couldn't play by myself. This… I'd just wait.
"Hmm…"
Wait it out. Yeah.
Suddenly I felt embarrassed. Standing in line alone didn't sit right.
So then… mm.
"Motteok!!"
"Yes~ Did you get there?"
"Ding-dong-ding!! Correct. What do I do now?"
"Play around for a bit."
"That's a no. I came in alone… I'm all by myself. Just standing here… waiting in line alone is… teardrop roll…"
"Hahahahaha. Oh. Really? Five minutes? Ten and I should be there."
"Got it… Understood. I'll wait then."
"Okay~ Thanks. Be right there."
Five or ten minutes? So what do I do for fifteen.
Hmm… I'm getting hungry. Should I grab something? Those churros I had last time were seriously good.
Just one? Yeah. One.
"Just eating one."
It's my money. I can eat if I want.
I bought one churro… but eating alone felt weird.
I should get one for Motteok too… What would Motteok like.
"Mm…"
It's Motteok, so sotteok-sotteok? But I like original sausage better than rice cake!!
Sausage it is!!
Me, I won't eat the sausage. I'm holding back. It's for Motteok. I made a promise with myself.
I'll enjoy my churro, and the sausage goes to Motteok.
Promise made? Right. I'm absolutely not eating it.
But the churro in my left hand is mine, so I can eat that.
"Nom."
Eheheh. Delicious. Don't look at the right hand. If I don't look, I won't want it. Just enjoy the churro.
Do not look right. One more time.
"Nom."
Churros are so good. I just keep wanting more. Eheheh.
This is what an amusement park is.
I suddenly felt my tension level climbing.
Lee Jihyun. Marem-motteok. Motteok was baffled.
"What… you didn't eat anything?"
"I ate!!"
"But can you finish all that?"
"Huh? No!! One of them is yours!! I bought it!! But…"
Seona stood there with a churro in one hand and a half-eaten sausage in the other.
"I couldn't resist the temptation and ate it… sob sob. Nom… nom."
She took another huge bite of the sausage meant for Motteok.
"It's so good I can't stop. Sob sob. I bought it to give to you. And I ate it. Mm… it's so good I'll have one more… nom."
Seona shoved the last bit of sausage into her mouth.
Then she frowned, put on a thoroughly wronged face, and stared at Motteok.
"It was too delicious so I ate it… sob. I was gonna give it to you. I ate it. I promised myself and everything."
"I… it's fine. It happens. If you're hungry you eat. I'm okay."
"No. I'll buy you one."
"Oh? Really? Then maybe I will have one?"
"Good!! Good!! I'll buy it for you!! For real."
Seona said it with an ehehe laugh.
She was always the one freeloading, so the thought of treating someone else had her in a great mood.
Tension shot straight up from Level 5.4 to Level 7.
Seona stubbornly opened her pay app and bought a sausage, and Motteok tucked her wallet back into her bag, smiling as she took it.
"It's good, right?"
"I'll try it."
"Yes!! It's good, right?"
"I haven't even put it near my mouth yet."
"Ah!! Mm…"
Seona stared holes through Motteok. She wanted Motteok to eat it already. She kept… kept staring.
Which only poked Motteok's rebellious streak.
Motteok brought it to her lips, pulled it away, repeated the motion while watching Seona's face.
When Motteok brought it close Seona smiled; when she pulled it away Seona just stared blankly.
"Eheheheh. Eat it or not?"
"Ugh… it's seriously good—if you don't eat it you'll regret it. It was really, really delicious."
"Okay. Want me to try it?"
She'd been about to drop the teasing and actually eat, but one look at Seona's face made her want to mess around again.
"You said you'd eat it. Hurry!!"
"Okay. Haha. I'll really eat it. Mm… delicious. Delicious."
"Right? Right? It's so good. I couldn't even hold back."
"Yeah, that checks out. It's good."
"Ehehe."
Seona was in a great mood. Already up to Level 8. The stage of 'feeling the same as everyone else.' That was when she felt best.
Something I find delicious, other people find delicious too… a hobby I love, other people love too… this was Seona's absolute favorite situation.
"Right? I ended up eating mine all deliciously too."
"Yeah. It's good. So what now?"
"We ride the attractions like crazy, obviously."
Seona had already written an Amusement Park Dating Sim -Tteok Edition- once before.
Next: Motteok. Motteok is going to have a blast with me for sure. She's just like me. I'm pretty sure she'll enjoy riding the attractions together. Plus she'll take tons of photos and laugh a lot. But she won't ride too many—those big boobs mean gravity's a problem, so she'll take it easy.
She wanted to verify the results of that theory as fast as possible.
"That so? Aren't we buying anything? We came all this way—we gotta put on headbands and take pictures."
"Oh… that's good. Hundred points. What are you getting?"
"Something… pretty?"
"Ooh!! Girl power strong."
"What about this is girl power. Haha. You're so random."
"Mm… it is girl power though…"
Seona pouted her lips and stared at Motteok.
Then she kept grumbling "It is girl power though" right up until Motteok put on a rabbit headband.
"Girl power… girl power… it is though… this is girl power…"
"Okay. This. Cute. Wait, you're tall so… I'm not short either but. Hmm. Oh. Pretty. It suits you. Take a look."
"Mm… rabbit. Not the rabbit—something else!!"
"Why? It's cute. You don't like rabbits?"
Seona shook her head.
"No. I like rabbits. But rabbits don't have a cry sound. Cows go moo. Chicks go peep-peep. Chickens go cluck-cluck… dogs go woof-woof. You need that kind of thing."
"Uh… what… okay uh… yes. Got it."
Motteok did not understand Seona's words. It was a realm beyond comprehension from the start.
Animals without cry sounds cannot be imitated.
That was Seona's philosophy. She didn't know why. She'd thought that way since she was little.
"Then a dog?"
"Woof woof!! Good. I'll do the woof-woof."
"You do look like a dog right now. It suits you."
"Eheheh. Grrrrr."
Seona tucked both arms up in front of her chest and shuffled closer in a slightly hunched posture.
Her eyes sparkled, a mischievous smile playing at her lips. Then suddenly—
"Woof woof. Grrrr. Bark!"
—she made barking noises and hopped. After that she lightly patted Motteok's shoulder with her palms and happily shook her head.
"Bark bark! Grrr~ I want a snack~ Grrrr. Hungry."
Her tension was so high she got hungry again in no time.
"You just ate."
"I want more. Grrr."
Motteok found Seona acting like a dog a little embarrassing.
But Seona did not stop.
"Gimme a snack."
"I'll give you one… I'll give. What do I give you? Puppy food? Doggo chow? What."
"Churro."
"Huh? You actually wanted that?"
"Yes!! Buy me a churro."
"No… pfft. No… pffthahaha."
Motteok had thought Seona was joking and played along, but realizing she was dead serious made a hollow laugh slip out.
"Churro."
"Okay. Okay. Calm down first. We'll buy this and then I'll get you one."
"Thank you. But I was totally like a dog just now, right."
"Yeah… totally."
Seona had meant the image of a proactive dog going after what it wants,
while Motteok understood it as a tomboyish, hyperactive, scatterbrained puppy.
"Eheheh."
"No, why is your tension so high today? Something happen? Good news? Something like that?"
"Ah!! Excellent question. I'm currently at Tension Level 8.3."
"That's high, right?"
"Yes!! Completely!! Right now I'm practically about to pierce the sky. The only thing that can stop me… I dunno. I am currently Level-8 Seona!!"
"Looks like I picked the wrong day. Hahaha."
Motteok forced a smile into her eyes.
