Drawing Stream
Ugh, it's better if I just do this alone without any viewer help. No matter how I look at it, I can't do this together with them. These people keep asking me for stuff that's way too hard. I want to do it. I really want to. But I just can't draw at that level!! If it were back in the old days, maybe, but right now it's an incredibly difficult task. Everything has to be done step by step, slowly, carefully. If I rush because I'm busy or short on time and skip the basics to tackle the hard stuff first, I'll only end up tripping over myself. Building a solid foundation from the ground up is what gives you the strength to stand back up even if you fall. So I'm sticking to my guns—step by step. I ignored all the requests for high-tech bunny-girl outfits, maid uniforms, princess dresses, and the like, and started with the easy stuff instead.
After the snowman came a tree.
"I drew the tree pretty well, right? Ah… I'll draw some fruit too."
Everyone sounded pretty annoyed in chat, but there was nothing I could do. A strong foundation is the only way to keep from collapsing. If the base is shaky, no matter how carefully you stack the tower, it'll eventually come crashing down. I drew the fruit nicely too. Grapes, apples—I put them all in. Drawing is all about letting your imagination soar. Strawberries, plums, peaches… oranges. Bananas. I drew everything. I imagined this would become humanity's future food tree and poured my heart into it.
"All done. It's a food tree. Pretty amazing, right?"
The chat window went completely wild. Sigh.
"Hmm… How fresh. I never would've thought of that." I'd seen plenty of ideas I never could've come up with myself. Human imagination really is something else. Amazing.
"…Huh? That person? Her? That's not me!!"
I scratched my head at the knot in the tree. I still couldn't tell if they were serious or not. From everything they'd shown so far, it almost seemed like they genuinely loved the tree… but also not? I was so confused. Even if they did love it, though… nothing would change. My reaction would probably just be "Got it" or "Fits you."
"Ah… Yep. Manager, where are you!!"
"Yep" wasn't right. This was exactly the kind of thing the manager was supposed to handle quickly. Was she really going to leave that kind of chat alone? I looked for the manager, but surprisingly, she was offline.
"Typical 1st-gen behavior." Well, I understood. What time was it again? 12 o'clock. 12 o'clock. Not midnight—high noon. If I wanted to sound fancy, I could call it midday. Right now was prime sleeping time for the 1st-gens. Whew, I'd just have to understand. After all, I was the president with maxed-out comprehension!!
"Can't be helped. I'll handle it myself."
"No, I'm not rotating anyone. The 1st-gens are just being the 1st-gens. So, what is it? Huh? Wait, what?"
Ooh? What's this? Me? This is huge. I'm drawing while actually interacting with chat right now. I've really grown a lot. Bwahahaha!!
"Guys, that was actually really funny just now."
"Ah, I just laughed. Sorry."
I'd accidentally said out loud something I should've just kept to myself. To smooth things over, I reset the canvas and focused again.
"What should I draw this time?"
Honestly, I was going to draw whatever I wanted. But if I didn't at least pretend to check public opinion, people would complain. This was something I'd learned from Moteok. The "ask the people" skill. Moteok always asked viewers what they wanted, then did whatever she felt like anyway. Every time, chat would go "There she goes again, doing whatever she wants, asking for opinions," but she still did her own thing. I'm pretty good at picking up useful habits and applying them. Thanks, Moteok!!
"Alright then, I'll draw one cat and one dog."
"There it is!!"
It was right there!! I found it. Seon-a asked for a cat!! Ehehe. Following the will of the people, I drew the cat with all my might. A cute cat, a pretty cat, a handsome cat… I even drew a kemonomimi version. It was a little wobbly, but the drawing was slowly coming to life. The chat played an important role too. Even when I couldn't draw well, they praised me and said it was good… It felt nice. My confidence was shooting up.
"Ehehe. Please praise me."
"Yep~"
The fact that praise gave me energy was undeniable. I had to work even harder. I'd show them just how hard I could work.
"Thank you. Thank you so much, everyone!! This is what you've all been waiting for!!"
"I'll draw a dog then."
Ehehe. This was actually hilarious. Really funny. I was writing it, reading it, and drawing it myself. This stream was genuinely ridiculous. Agree? Yeah, totally!! Bwahahaha.
"Then… yep. I'll draw the dog first."
"100,000 won…"
"For 100,000 won… Hmm. I'll consider it."
"Uh… 200,000 won… Al… alright."
When someone was throwing that kind of money, of course I'd draw it. It wasn't even that hard. And a female dog wearing a bunny suit wasn't a bad thing, right? Right? I drew it as quickly as the money deserved. While drawing, I couldn't help but notice—people who liked furry stuff sure had a lot of money. They requested huge donations in a gentlemanly way. 100,000 won to add spiky fur, 50,000 won to add hearts in the eyes, 60,000 won to make it less human and more dog-like. These were some terrifyingly dedicated people.
"Hmm… How is it? Looks good, right?"
I'd drawn a female dog wearing a bunny suit. Some crazy donor asked to change it to male, but I ignored it outright and kept it female.
"It's female. I at least kept it female." If I'd given in to the money, a male dog in a bunny suit would've been born. They should be grateful for my decisive judgment. Grateful, right?
"So, what should I draw next?"
The more I drew, the more confident I felt. I had the power to do anything. Not only that—my drawings were still pretty rough, but people were even donating and saying I did well. It was genuinely fun. I had to keep drawing!!
Editor. Pyeong. Cha Ji-hyun had stayed up all night editing again yesterday. Today she woke up past 2 p.m. As soon as she got up, she checked her schedule and messages. The schedule was the same as always—nothing special—but the message content was shocking.
"Uh…"
Cha Ji-hyun rubbed her chin and stared at her phone with sharp eyes.
"Hmm…"
Looking at the photos Sena had sent, she eventually started biting her thumb. The photos and message made it impossible to understand the sender's intent. Multiple photos of herself, along with the request: "Please mosaic this." Why on earth?
She turned on her computer and immediately joined Sena's stream. On the broadcast, Sena was calmly running a drawing stream with a completely relaxed expression.
"Uh… um."
On screen was a kemonomimi character with cat ears, posed rather boldly. The upper body was slightly twisted, one arm raised above the head and resting behind it, fully exposing the pale armpit. The most striking part was the bikini that clashed with the fluffy cat ears and tail. The bikini top barely covering the large chest looked like it was hanging on by a single thin red string, while the lower body formed curves that felt like an unattainable fantasy no matter how hard one worked. Sena had drawn this.
"Uh… Why did she draw this? This is tough."
The chat was split perfectly between viewers who hated it and viewers who loved it. Sena, who had been concentrating hard, seemed to lose focus for a moment and lifted her head.
"Uh… uh, 500,000 won… 550,000 won… This is a 555,000-won drawing… I gave it my all… uh, this is a 600,000-won drawing… I have to give it my all. Once it's finished, they said they'd give more. The Furry bros really have money. Thank you."
"…"
It was so bad she couldn't even watch with both eyes open. Cha Ji-hyun pressed her temples and muttered.
"I can't edit this."
Cha Ji-hyun hated calling during streams, but knowing how focused Sena could get, she had no choice this time. Feeling like it was an unavoidable force of nature, she made the call.
"Sena-nim."
"Ooh!! You're up? I'm streaming right now."
"I'm watching. I had a question. What exactly are you planning to do with the mosaic on the face?"
"Ah!! Good question. It's a reference. I'm going to create a character based on it. I'm busy, so please do it quickly!! Actually, I'm not busy and I have nothing left to do!! I need content. Urgent."
"Uh… Eh? Ah, got it. There's really no problem with this, right?"
"Yep!! It's totally fine~!! I'm just going to look at it and draw!!"
Cha Ji-hyun obviously didn't understand. But if there was no problem… as an employee, she had to do it. She opened Photoshop and mosaicked only the red-pill (face) parts. Even while doing so, she doubted.
"This is fine, right?"
Just in case, she applied the mosaic three more times.
