Facing Reality (2)
I’d really come dangerously close to being screwed.
I wasn’t worried about something as ridiculous as jerking off until I died. The Blessing in this body wasn’t going to let me die that easily.
But I really had almost spent several days doing nothing but masturbating.
Was this what it meant for your mind to wear down?
...Ugh, what is this dampness? And why does it smell like this?
The smell, damn it. It smelled like a bitch in heat—at an utterly obscene level.
A haze made of arousal and sweat. Disgusting.
What kind of idiot was still jerking off without even coming to his senses? This was insane.
Ha. As if this was my fault.
The problem was that this body itself wasn’t normal.
If I so much as brought a hand to any part of it, I felt like my mind would come apart. The slightest stronger stimulus, and pain would become a pleasure signal, electricity would race up my spine and flood through my entire body, and a mad rush of arousal and bliss would slam straight into my brain.
That insane instinct had gotten addicted from nothing more than having my chest touched.
...Honestly, it probably helped that I didn’t feel as much resistance as I should have toward touching this indecent body.
I’d always used women’s bodies as toys anyway.
Rather than focusing on what it felt like to be touched, I’d focused on touching, so in the end I was just doing it as if I were groping a woman from behind.
“Hoo.”
First, I needed to breathe.
I went straight to the window and opened it wide, letting the smell out.
Even an air purifier couldn’t handle this.
For now it was just a disgusting stench, but who knew? This insane body might get me aroused all over again just from the smell.
I didn’t ever want to hear that deranged voice again.
Take a man as your master and accept his seed?
That was even crazier than simply making more Sisters.
Forget it. Forget it.
[Brrrrring.]
...Damn. I’d left it alone because I didn’t want to answer, but my phone was ringing again.
It always called back on its own later, but it still had to leave a string of missed calls first, the bastard.
Ha Yujeong
As expected, it was this woman.
Ha Yujeong. Twenty-seven, was it? Late twenties, probably.
The manager at the Hunter Association who handled me personally.
—though to be blunt, she was basically the errand runner, secretary, contact point, and watchdog the Association had stuck to me.
Back when she was just there to make things look proper, I’d even thought about taking her to bed, but her stiff, businesslike attitude had cooled that interest pretty fast.
If women were already offering themselves to me, why bother wasting time thinking up ways to drag one into bed?
“Tsk.”
I finally got my head on straight and looked down at my phone screen, but honestly, it only irritated me more.
Ha Yujeong was a pain in the ass.
Everything was always about preserving dignity and the Association’s prestige. As if they weren’t just a middleman handing out a slice of taxes to Hunters anyway.
Did she think I didn’t know she’d taken that seat by sucking up to the higher-ups?
Putting on airs like some kind of saint.
...Still, I couldn’t just ignore this call.
Annoying as Ha Yujeong was, she had real standing inside the Association.
Right now, I needed the Association’s support if I wanted to completely erase the wild voice that had gone quiet for the moment and reclaim the body I’d lost.
Whether that meant using some kind of magic to put everything back the way it was, or going into the Void and making contact with that thing.
The problem was how.
If she was calling, then it meant Choi Eunho was needed... but for now I shouldn’t answer. I should text her instead.
My voice had already changed. What was the point of picking up?
I’d hang up and text her—
Bang bang bang!
“Eunho! You’re in there, aren’t you? What are you doing, not answering your phone!?”
Ah.
Fuck.
I told her not to come here!!
Ha Yujeong couldn’t have liked the situation either.
Choi Eunho, that crazy psycho—there had never been a single good thing about getting tangled up with him.
Ha Yujeong was twenty-seven.
She was an employee of the Hunter Association, the one responsible for sorting out the problems caused by the alien invasion on Korean soil and relaying requests to each hunter.
Among them, she was the elite of the elite assigned to manage S-class hunter Choi Eunho.
That said, in practice she was basically the weak link who got bossed around by the people above her and bossed around by the hunter she was in charge of, too.
If she’d been handling a low-rank hunter, the Association representative would naturally have held more power. But once you got to an A-class hunter, they were already a tremendous force, and the balance between superior and subordinate naturally flipped.
And once you reached S-class, the peak of the Association’s own hunters, even the executives ended up bowing and scraping before them.
So Ha Yujeong herself had accepted the fact that, no matter what, she’d be taking crap from both sides.
But Choi Eunho was the worst of the lot.
The other S-class hunters at least had some minimum level of social decency.
Choi Eunho, on the other hand, was the kind of man who’d received power from a contract—young boys who got lucky enough to meet an otherworldly sponsor and gain strength, and as a result didn’t even have the concept of common decency.
Maybe it was some petty compensation complex from the days when he’d been a D-class hunter, but he was the sort who demeaned other people by default, and his issues with women, manners, and abuse of authority were endless. He’d complained and grumbled every time a request was passed on to him, and the first time they met he’d even sexually harassed her. He hadn’t crossed the line since she slapped him, but still.
He sometimes cleaned up his image by making donations to orphanages and the like, but from Ha Yujeong’s perspective, as someone who knew exactly what kind of man Choi Eunho was, that was nothing more than a cheap mask.
So no, she hadn’t come because she wanted to. She’d come because she needed to see how much bullshit he was going to pull this time.
But whatever Ha Yujeong thought of Choi Eunho, his abilities were absolute.
A body that couldn’t be harmed, output strong enough to wrestle monsters head-on, stamina that wouldn’t give out even after days of fighting.
There was room to argue whether he was truly the strongest S-class hunter, but no one could deny that, when deployed on smaller-scale requests, he was the most stable hunter there was, and the one with the greatest staying power on mission.
In other words.
Spatial erosion caused by the alien presence that had appeared in the modern world.
There was no hunter better suited to dismantling a Gate and restoring it to its original space.
So when a Gate suddenly appeared near the capital, the Association had immediately decided to draw the blade called Choi Eunho.
If he hated people coming to his door, then at least he should answer the phone.
He’d taken the money, after all.
In a situation this urgent, and still not a single reply? What on earth was he doing?
Probably sleeping after dragging in more women and fooling around with them.
“Open the door!”
Bang bang bang!
She hammered the door on purpose and shouted, partly as a warning to the women inside, too. Get lost, fast.
The hunter you’ve got your legs wrapped around? He’s got work to do.
After a few minutes of pounding, the front door finally began to open.
He was probably taking his time because he was throwing on clothes or something.
Ha Yujeong stepped back a few paces from the opening door, clutching her sore hand.
“...”
Then she let out a breathy laugh when she saw the woman who appeared in the doorway.
This was really ridiculous.
“Choi Eunho. You’re inside, aren’t you?”
“...”
“Hurry up and come out. It looks like you’ve been having a very thorough time of it, but once you’re done playing, you should go. Everyone else is working.”
Just listen to that tone.
She looked at me like I was a complete joke.
Tipping her chin at me, she was telling me to get the hell out right now.
Well, that was exactly what I’d expected.
She’d come out wearing nothing, so she must have yanked open the closet and thrown on the first outer coat she found.
There was no need to imagine how it looked.
Her face was flushed, as though she’d been drenched in sweat and only just dried off; her hair stuck to her skin in damp strands.
Her upper body was barely covered by a man’s oversized coat, while her bare legs were left fully exposed.
And there was that disgusting smell of sweat mixed with bodily fluids, still seeping out through the front door because the room hadn’t finished airing out.
Anyone would assume she was just some toy Choi Eunho had dragged home to play with.
Yeah. I got it.
Bitch.
“Hey.”
“Hey? Since when do you talk to me like—”
“I told you not to come to my house. I said I’d contact you when I was done with my business. You really don’t know how to listen, do you?”
Even if this was total bullshit, I couldn’t throw her out.
I had to make Ha Yujeong believe that the woman standing in front of her was Choi Eunho.
I had no intention of sacrificing myself by dying first just to stop every living thing in the world from becoming that thing’s daughter.
I needed to find a way out as fast as possible, before this reached its limit.
“Come in. I’ve got something to explain.”
“...You’ll need to convince me properly. I don’t plan on wasting my time on the two of you and your little games.”
That was the look on her face, anyway—like, Choi Eunho, you bastard. You’re making your toy do something strange again.
If I were her, I’d think the same.
But what could I do?
This was reality.
And, just my luck, my bedroom was covered in the traces of sex.
I’d been fucking the toy I brought home right before it came looking for me.
So the fact that there were no signs of sex inside the house didn’t exactly prove I wasn’t Choi Eunho’s toy.
Even if the bed had somehow been spotless, the living-room sofa was already soaked with my sweat and arousal, so I didn’t exactly have a leg to stand on.
Since I couldn’t sit her on the sofa, we ended up facing each other at the kitchen table.
Ha Yujeong was staring at me like she was waiting to see just how far this would go.
Maybe she planned to listen for a bit, then storm into the bedroom to check where Choi Eunho was.
“So, is Choi Eunho taking a shower?”
“What nonsense is that? Do you hear water running in the master bedroom?”
“I’m saying that because I’m hoping he is. I don’t want to ruin my eyes.”
“Yeah, yeah. Good for you.”
Honestly, I’d brought her here, but I had no idea how to even begin.
To Ha Yujeong, I was just a toy putting on some weird act at Choi Eunho’s command.
If I were smart, I wouldn’t have become a hunter in the first place. I would’ve quit the moment I was D-class and found another job.
Thinking about it wasn’t going to produce an answer.
Fuck it. Fine. If she wouldn’t believe me, then I’d just make her believe.
Choi Eunho might be gone, but Choi Eunho’s power was still here. What the hell was she going to do about that?
“I am Choi Eunho.”
“Yes, I heard you. Is Choi Eunho in the master bedroom?”
“Fuck.”
Of course she didn’t believe me.
