Recovered Memories
Thinking back on the conversations we had been having, the truth was that the two of us had been remarkably similar.
We both wanted Seona.
But Miel wanted Seona’s body, while I wanted Seona’s heart.
The choice to torment her and then comfort her, each of us claiming what we desired.
Since it seemed possible that all of this could end with us sharing Seona, I wanted to tell Miel that after everything was over, we would divide her.
Miel probably already knew they wouldn’t be able to meet because of Seona’s mother, Mina.
But what if I manipulated Seona’s mind to bring her to us?
Mina wouldn’t stop Seona from doing what she wanted.
She had never done so before.
Yet that thought lasted only a moment.
Miel, looking at Seona’s current appearance, had roughly guessed the situation.
Hostile stance, the final day with Seona.
The sudden days of tormenting her as if abusing her own body.
And the identical Yin Crest carved onto both their bodies.
I noticed that I had handed over my body to Yurin.
Miel had thought that since Seona’s mind had been hazy that day and she had only just regained consciousness after being knocked out by the chloroform-soaked handkerchief, she wouldn’t remember.
But that was not the case.
Not only did she remember everything clearly, but it seemed she had also realized that her memories were nothing but our shared past.
She had seen through the traces of mind manipulation.
The situation was hopeless.
Moreover, her true identity had been exposed before Mina, and she was now doubting everything we had said.
If this continued, destruction awaited both of us.
“We came here only to save Seona. Please believe us. I beg of you.”
Miel said with genuine sincerity.
But inside her heart, she was already thinking about how to handle the current situation.
She had simply been stalling for time by appealing to emotions.
Thoughts of taking Seona hostage and fleeing, or framing Yurin to reverse everything, all crossed her mind.
“So that’s it. The demon who kidnapped Seona and Yurin was you.”
Mina’s sharp eyes had stared at Miel for a long time before she reached her conclusion.
When Yurin had been on the verge of true repentance, Miel had cooperated with the resolve to recover Seona and confessed everything to Mina.
Ironically, the one now blocking their escape was the old Yurin.
At Mina’s words, Miel’s face turned deathly pale.
Mina had perfectly identified Miel, but she could not frame Yurin.
Because she had been with Miel since entering the gate and was still supporting her.
If she abandoned Miel, when Seona’s mind was restored, she would use Seona’s memories as a pretext to bury her as well.
Since their lives were linked, they had been kept together under the guise of monitoring, but it did not erase what she had done to Seona.
It was as if the acts from the old days had been committed, yet she had brought death upon Mina and Seona.
As Miel continued to probe her intentions, thinking they would reach a stalemate, the lord spoke.
“Family of Seona, please wait a moment. Then there is a good way. If it’s like this, Miel, you won’t be able to restore Seona’s memories. Good, let’s make a deal through a contract.”
After calming Mina’s ominous aura, Miel addressed her.
“What kind of contract are you talking about? I’m just trying to save Seona…”
Mina’s instincts reacted to the lie.
The non-existent senses created by her enhanced senses had reacted to the falsehood.
She stabbed Miel’s neck lightly with a claw, causing a wound with blood flowing.
“Hik…”
Miel let out a short groan.
If this continued, she would die.
What should she do?
She couldn’t abandon Seona.
Now she should use Seona’s mind as a hostage.
Countless thoughts crossed her mind.
She had considered stabbing Mina in anger, but decided against killing her.
It would be better to punish her properly after Seona regained her senses.
“I heard that you are the lord of this place. I am Seona’s mother. What kind of deal is this?”
She answered the story told by the Succubus Lord.
Her ability to create senses had leaned toward the side that the Succubus Lord knew a way to restore Seona’s mind.
“I plan to make a contract with Miel through soul binding to fully restore Seona’s mind. The price is not killing Miel.”
Miel was startled and looked at her mother.
She had thought she would die without fail, but the part about not killing was surprising.
But if restoring Seona’s memories would return Seona’s heart to normal, then she wouldn’t be able to stay with Seona anymore.
It was a sharp contract that hit the core.
Since it was already out of the lord’s mouth, there was no way.
She couldn’t escape like this, and since the mother had lowered her guard using Seona’s mind as pretext, she couldn’t demand more than that.
In the end, it meant she had to let go of Seona.
But as long as she didn’t die, there was hope.
Since her Yin Crest was carved on Seona, as long as she didn’t die, she could bring back the Seona she had claimed as a companion someday.
After deciding, she had the resolve to accept the deal.
“Then, good… Under the condition of fully restoring Seona’s memories and mind, you won’t kill me, right?”
“If I could, I’d want to kill you right now, but if Seona returns properly… I have some intention to overlook it once.”
She spoke as if knowing that she would return later.
Miel thought that Mina was indeed a woman with sharp instincts.
It wouldn’t be easy to take Seona from such a woman’s arms.
But if she survived, there would be a chance.
“Then, let’s make the contract.”
Miel made the contract to fully restore Seona’s mind and memories.
In exchange for saving herself by restoring all memories about her parents.
She carefully made the contract assuming that none of the Mina, the Succubus Lord, the sisters present would threaten her for one day.
And all present agreed.
As Miel placed her hand on Seona’s head to manipulate memories, someone watching the scene was looking at it with a troubled heart.
It was Yurin.
After Seona recovered her memories, she would surely tell her mother about all the things she had done.
If she learned that she had done almost the same things as before marriage after returning from the Demon Realm, she would kill her.
Yurin looked at the sword she was holding.
Her face appeared on the blade of the sword she had cleaned neatly the day before for the rescue.
Dark circles under her eyes, lips dry, looking restless.
The appearance she had come out with, as clean as possible before meeting Seona, was gone.
Only the appearance of a criminal about to be executed when Seona woke up was reflected.
She thought about launching a surprise attack to kill Miel.
But Mina was occasionally looking at her side.
A surprise attack wouldn’t work against Mina who had the ability of enhanced senses.
Mina, being close to Miel, would probably be able to block even the attacks she made on Miel.
With her heart burning…
The time of judgment was approaching.
.
.
.
Seona was dreaming.
It was a dream where she reflected on all the things she had done and poured out her honest heart.
The reason she first tried to make Yurin a woman she liked.
Because she was the daughter of her mother’s workplace superior, she chose it so that her mother could have a comfortable workplace life.
In this gender-reversed world, considering her appearance, it wouldn’t be difficult to meet a woman who was pretty and had a personality she liked.
Making Yurin into the woman she wanted through training was close to an excuse.
When Yurin first violated her.
She couldn’t escape Yurin.
If she told her parents that she had been in such a situation with her girlfriend of so long, they would be sad.
Even when she was drugged and forced to endure unbearable things and suffered painful days, she couldn’t escape because she was worried about her parents.
Her parents were so precious to her.
The unconditional love she couldn’t get in her previous life was the greatest treasure to her.
Even if she thought all 28 years of living in the previous life were gone, she couldn’t do something that would make her parents sad.
In the previous life, when she was in pain, she just suffered, but in this life, there was a parent who worried about her.
She realized that what she needed when she died due to problems with women in the previous life was not the love of a lover but the love of her parents when she was five years old.
Now, when she woke from the dream, she probably had to apologize to her mother for her sins.
Seona felt sorry for having treated her mother like a stranger when she had just been with her, because the memories were aligning.
And she had to confess the truth.
Because she was already close to all the truths, she could no longer lie about all the things Yurin had done to her and worry her mother.
If she continued to hide it, she could hide it, but her mother’s heart would surely burn.
Since her mother came to save her, her father would surely be waiting on Earth worrying about her.
It was time to return.
From dream to reality…
