Wedding Day
His healing ability could purge the drugs accumulating in his body, but the effect was truly negligible. He used his power to neutralize them little by little, yet the volume of drugs continuously forced into him far outpaced anything he could clear.
On top of that, the endless hours Yurin spent violating him stretched on for a full twelve hours at a stretch — and during that time, using a healing ability that required focused concentration was simply impossible. Even after the assaults ended, the drugs would peak and leave his mind a fogged wreck, so he remained unable to use his power.
As every kind of drug continued to pile up in his system, he finally crossed the point of no return — beyond anything Seona could reverse. His drug-soaked mind could no longer concentrate at all. And when he went too long without a dose, the withdrawal symptoms flooded his head with nothing but craving, leaving him equally unable to use his ability.
Once Yurin realized the state of his body, she made a reluctant face and changed her method: she would give him the drugs only after sex was finished. When he first took them, in those brief windows when the effects were still mild, the withdrawal would ease and his concentration would actually improve — so she had chosen this approach to let him heal his thoroughly wrecked body after their coupling.
At this point, he could no longer leave Yurin. Nothing else entered his thoughts. Drugs and sex had become his entire world.
Lately, Yurin had begun to feel a faint regret. It came from watching Seona behave as though he were half-mad after she had force-fed him massive quantities of drugs for so long.
But the thoughts that rose as she looked at his ruined state were nothing an ordinary person would think. It wasn't that she felt she had done something wrong to him. Rather, she regretted that there had been so many things she had wanted to try with Seona's body before he fell apart like this.
Whether it was the drugs or his mind gradually collapsing, his reactions were nothing like they had been when she first filmed him. He was growing weaker and weaker in response to her torment. These days, even when she violated him as freely as she pleased, he wouldn't even moan — just stare blankly at the ceiling. The sight was adorable, but it had cut the fun roughly in half.
Whenever that happened, she would take him with a force hard enough to break his body, hoping for the same reactions as the beginning — but any good response never lasted long. Looking at Seona, already so accustomed to pain and pleasure, she regretted not having tried more things while he was still intact.
Still, they had plenty of time left together. She decided she would eventually cure his drug addiction and work to draw out those first-time reactions again.
Checking the time, she saw it was the hour to film another video of their memories together. Filming had become part of their daily routine. Already fifty-four videos stacked up.
At first she had sometimes shot just one, but watching Seona — eyes unfocused, tears streaming as he drowned in drugs — had been so arousing that she would keep going, shooting anywhere from one to five videos a day. Lately, with his reactions so weak, she had been filming sessions of even higher intensity just to wring something out of him.
There was even a video of her showing Seona the first recording of him being violated under the influence of drugs, then having sex with him while he watched. The moment when Seona, staring blankly, saw that footage and tears poured down — and his cock went hard at the same time — that expression, that situation, had been the absolute best sex she'd had with him recently.
One week left until the wedding. The thought of freely ravaging Seona as much as she wanted before he became a married man left her restless with impatience. So she resolved to shoot several more videos today, and began packing a bag full of various toys that might draw reactions out of him.
If her parents and Seona's parents ever found out about this situation, they would beat her to death and still not be satisfied. She would be socially buried, of course — and she half-wondered whether her own parents would disown her. But what was done was done. There was no helping it.
Wasn't there a saying for this? It already happened. An opportunity like this will never come again, so do it one more time before he comes to his senses — that little gem of wisdom came to mind. The current situation was rather similar. Except she wasn't doing it one more time — she was doing it dozens more times. And those dozens would eventually become hundreds, thousands.
They were both Awakened, after all. Aging came late, and their lifespans stretched longer than ordinary people's. Seona's beauty would endure, and her own stamina would hold strong well into advanced age. Looking at how her mother and Seona's mother — both high-rank Awakened — still maintained the looks and strength of women in their late twenties, the odds seemed good.
At last, the day she had been waiting for arrived.
From the early hours before dawn, Seona and Yurin drove through the tollgate and onto the highway, heading for the wedding venue. At three in the morning, the highway was empty — theirs was the only car on the road.
Wanting Seona to be at least somewhat functional on the wedding day, she had gone two full days without violating him. Without his drugs, Seona looked terribly depressed, his body limp and listless — but when she promised to give him a dose if he behaved normally, he managed to pull himself together to some degree.
She thought she would feed him just a tiny amount later, in the groom's waiting room before the ceremony began. A very small dose would let him act normally for a little while — it seemed like a workable plan.
Yurin glanced at the navigation. About thirty minutes left to the venue.
But as they drove the highway together, something went wrong.
Ahead of them, a dense fog suddenly appeared, accompanied by a tremendous roar. As if the scene had been ripped from a horror film, the car gradually lost power and came to a stop before that otherworldly presence. Even the navigation cut out. No matter how hard she pressed her smartphone, not a single light came on.
Yurin was rattled by the situation, but she had a vague memory of hearing about something like this. She clung to the fading recollection, trying to think.
This was what her mother had told her about. The precursor symptoms of a Gate opening. The early stage of a passageway forming — the connection through which monsters invaded the world they lived in.
Between the gaps in the fog, she could see a blue, wave-like light shimmering — the light that appeared when a Gate was forming. This was dangerous. She had been told that less than five minutes after that light appeared, the Gate would fully form and monsters would come pouring out. Any moment now, monsters would burst from the Gate. She had to get Seona out of here, fast.
"Seona! We have to get out of the car and run!"
"Okay."
His sluggish, indifferent response made her want to scream, but once they were out of the car, she just needed to grab his hand and sprint back the way they had come. That should get them clear of the place where the monsters would emerge.
Having settled on that plan, she moved quickly — pulling the dose she had planned to give Seona later from the inner pocket of her jacket and roughly shoving it into his mouth. At first Seona didn't even react, but the moment that bitter sensation touched his tongue, he recognized what he had been craving. Life returned to his eyes as he swallowed.
She had given him the drugs now because he needed to be lucid, even if only for a short while. The wedding that was supposed to happen soon didn't matter in the slightest. First they both had to survive — only then could the happy married life she planned with Seona become real.
The fog was creeping toward them, growing thicker by the second. They had to escape this place, fast. That fog nullified machinery and marked the approximate radius within which monsters could operate. If they floundered in the fog too long and failed to get out, the monsters would get them for certain.
So Yurin gripped Seona's hand in one of hers and kept running — toward the tollgate they had passed earlier.
The blonde succubus with twin horns stared at the blue waves ahead, tense about her first deployment. When high-ranking monsters like herself opened a Gate and crossed over, death in combat was rare — but the what-ifs kept nagging at her.
From childhood she had heard stories of the Hunters of that world slaughtering their armies, so she couldn't help feeling afraid. Even so, the image of her mother beaming with pride if she earned merit on her first sortie by "securing human resources" helped her steady her nerves.
Not long after she composed herself, a landscape utterly different from their own unfurled beyond the vast Gate. Through the open Gate, sixteen orcs and the blonde succubus stepped inside.
The succubus took her first steps and surveyed the surroundings. A black-paved road stretched in a straight line. Drawing a deep breath, she found the air mixed with a slight stuffiness unlike the place they lived. With every breath, her lungs felt a heaviness she wasn't used to.
First things first — her duty. She cast a spell to ensure that anything that might be within their territory couldn't easily escape outside.
"Orc squad, stand by here."
After giving the orcs their orders, she beat her wings and rose into the air to scout personally, checking what was nearby. The dense fog should have blocked all vision, yet as if the mist could not obscure their sight, she clearly perceived the surrounding objects from high above.
When the blonde succubus climbed to a certain height, she spotted what looked like humanoid life-forms in the distance — tiny dots, blocked by the edge of the fog, unable to leave.
"Found them."
Hoping those distant creatures were male, the succubus descended again and issued orders to the orcs. Then she began approaching the place where those life-forms were.
