World Collision - The Eighth: The Tyrant
The eighth World Collision — The Tyrant.
Meteor Cartel's Tyrant of Living Hell, Sesaisa versus the Myth Union's HuuHuu.
Objectively speaking, Sesaisa was the weakest meteor in the entire Meteor Cartel.
"Just how the hell can someone ruin an ecosystem this badly?"
"How is it possible to possess such deep understanding of the flows yet have absolutely no comprehension of fate?"
"It's not terrible on paper, but honestly, the class is far too low."
Sesaisa was the undisputed supreme authority on the spiritual flow realm and mysticism, yet he knew nothing about how material civilizations actually functioned. Had he not encountered Biin, he would have been eliminated early—his situation was that pathetic. The quality of his knowledge was extraordinarily high, but it was so severely biased that it offered almost no help in managing civilization.
That was why Sesaisa had to pour out an enormous amount of information. Biin and Wahando knew virtually nothing about the spiritual flow realm, so simply building spiritual realms for them earned him a considerable amount of points. Mihun lacked pure knowledge of spiritual architecture, so they traded information and used it to restructure his world.
"First, we're tearing the entire ecosystem apart and rebuilding it from scratch! For the love of everything, learn to properly identify which creatures need to be driven extinct and which ones must be preserved!"
As always, Biin took the ecosystem of Sesaisa's world—which had been completely overturned to create the spiritual realm—and began reshaping it.
It was so fundamentally broken that he had to create new creatures, teach proper management methods, eliminate harmful lifeforms, and make constant edits. At the same time, he instructed the elephants on how to manage living organisms and taught them the basic principles of how civilizations utilize biological resources.
"You have been teaching mysticism to your elephants in an excessively biased manner. It would be far better to focus on the Soft Body Techniques and Human Path Techniques rather than solely emphasizing the Heavenly Path Methods."
Mihun, recognizing that Sesaisa had zero knowledge of mysticism involving the physical body, taught him the Soft Body Techniques and martial arts that could make maximum use of the elephants' powerful physiques. The elephants, who had previously relied solely on magic in combat, finally learned how to take full advantage of their massive bodies.
"It is absurd that these elephants have no laws. Why have you not established even a single set of guidelines?"
Rather than focusing on military strategy, Wahando first implanted a system capable of mediating conflicts among the elephants and fairly distributing wealth and power.
It was a flexible, accommodating framework designed for the relatively cultured and gentle-natured elephants, quite different from his own rigid military system. Wahando's deep understanding of governance allowed him to transplant various political structures rather than forcing a purely militaristic state.
At any rate, if one thought about it objectively, it was a curse to every other player. Sesaisa had poured out his knowledge without reservation, ultimately strengthening the other three. It all stemmed from his single-minded determination not to lose any points.
As a result, Sesaisa's score literally exploded. His world score had risen to a respectable level, reaching 1.3 million.
Sesaisa's trait, Incarnation, grew more powerful the higher his world score, allowing him to create mythic-grade entities and control them directly.
In simple terms, he could create beings on the same level as his world itself. They weren't transcendentally powerful like Yeondan-u, but they could defeat even Yogur-tosoth. Moreover, they required zero maintenance costs and came packed with mythic traits appropriate for mythic creations.
The opponent Sesaisa had chosen, HuuHuu, possessed a staggering 1.65 million points.
Large numbers can make differences seem small, but proportionally it was a 26 percent gap.
A 26 percent difference in the fundamental capability of their worlds was the same as a skinny 60kg fighter stepping into the ring against a muscular 76kg opponent.
Even if the fighter in the lower weight class was a martial arts genius, it would be incredibly difficult. And the opponent was no amateur—the Myth Union would not accept anyone of low caliber.
Thus, Sesaisa found himself facing an opponent he personally believed offered his highest chance of victory, yet who was by no means an easy opponent by any objective measure.
Compared to the other members of the Meteor Cartel, Sesaisa's strategy was far less clearly defined.
Biin focused on destroying the opponent's production capabilities. Mihun relied on overwhelmingly powerful hero units to annihilate worlds. Wahando crushed enemies through sheer military force. If those were their strategies, Sesaisa's approach could only be described as somewhat vague and hazy.
Fundamentally, his first trait selection had been rather unusual.
Incarnation was not a bad trait. However, if one were to choose it first, it should have been something that aided internal affairs. Only then could one build a foundation and scale upward from there.
Yet Sesaisa's trait was Incarnation, which simply made an already strong player even stronger.
It differed greatly in nature from traits such as Deity-World Oneness, Inaction Nature, and Time Manipulation Right, which dramatically increased the amount of directly usable resources.
Sesaisa resolved these shortcomings in a truly absurd manner. His path to victory originated from that very solution.
The secondary function of Incarnation was not only to create powerful entities but to allow the player's own ego to enter the world as an identical presence.
Similar to Biin's Deity-World Oneness, it was an avatar that thought simultaneously with the player and shared all senses and perceptual data.
Using the power of his mythic unique creation Incarnation, Sesaisa selected the ability and authority to sense every flow in his vicinity and freely construct spiritual architecture.
In short, Sesaisa was the only player in the game capable of accurately understanding the actual in-game reality that could not be precisely grasped through a player's 'divine senses' alone.
Furthermore, by applying both divine senses and the creation's senses to their maximum simultaneously, he could precisely harmonize the player's divine power with the Incarnation's magical power, manipulating the world from both within and without.
In other words, he had taken a combat-specialized trait and turned it into a tool for internal affairs.
"I shall gladly do so! Now—open!"
Sesaisa was the greatest expert on spiritual realms. Just as he had created a spiritual realm for Wahando that generated flows capable of manipulating spacetime, he could create one for himself as well.
And he could do so with even more overwhelming efficiency and far greater authority.
"Wait, how are they getting through like this?"
HuuHuu watched in astonishment as the dimensional gate suddenly tore open and a giant elephant the size of a small hill stepped through, followed by an army of slightly smaller yet still enormous elephants.
The hill-sized elephant was a mythic-grade creation, and every single elephant in the accompanying force was at least narrative-grade (Sesaisa possessed no legendary-grade units at all)—powerful archmages and mighty warriors.
"What the—?!"
It was enough to make anyone faint from shock. To be able to send such overwhelming force through at the dimensional gate stage... It didn't seem to be the authority of the mythic-grade creation. It looked like he had done something by interfering with the spiritual realm.
HuuHuu's species were spirits. More precisely, they were 'living spirits' that had begun as pure spirits and later acquired physical bodies. Their bodies were far cruder than those of beings born from matter, but they could generate mysticism with far greater stability.
Sesaisa knew such beings well. After all, his own original species had been entities born from the flows, desperately struggling to obtain even a scrap of flesh and become living spirits.
Therefore, Sesaisa also knew their weaknesses. His knowledge of spiritual architecture, his profound understanding of the flows, his ability to wield a portion of divine power, and his authority to manipulate spiritual realms on a mythic scale.
CRACK!
Sesaisa seized and twisted the spiritual realm that had been established in the opponent's world. This was another situation HuuHuu had never anticipated.
"...Huh?"
HuuHuu was forced to expend every ounce of his divine power simply to prevent the flows from being touched. His living spirits rushed forward desperately, but Sesaisa's elephants blocked them with magic. Some assisted Sesaisa directly, while others continued opening the dimensional gate and drawing in the flows from their home world.
"Hmm. Then shall we try this?"
The player Sesaisa manipulated his own world's spiritual realm with divine power. He had neglected his ecosystem, culture, and politics, leaving everything to the elephants. The intricate spiritual realm that completely covered his world now generated flows that were not spacetime, but something else entirely.
It was the flow connected to the no-man's land linked with Sesaisa—the Great Boundary.
The no-man's land connected to the underworld. He opened the flow that buried all currents of life and death deep into the ground and led into an endless, sinking turbid current.
"N-no!"
HuuHuu's living spirits were completely submerged in the flow drawn from the Great Boundary. They lost their physical bodies and were dragged straight into the underworld.
The elephants, however, remained completely unaffected. Because they were fundamentally living beings. As long as they possessed constructed bodies, they would not suffer 'instant death' from such an attack.
Exactly—'instant death.' Spirits could wield powerful mysticism, but they were extremely vulnerable to this kind of assault.
Both Sesaisa and HuuHuu knew this because of their original species, but HuuHuu had never imagined the vicious tactic of completely remodeling his own world into something resembling a factory that emitted those flows, dragging all his spirits into the underworld at once.
Certainly, there was a difference in weight class.
But when the higher weight class fighter faces someone with a gun, weight class ceases to matter. Without armor, you die when hit.
"Damn it! Son of a bitch!"
HuuHuu frantically gathered every available resource in response to this asymmetrical battle. His mythic-grade trait was specialized for war of attrition.
Perpetual Spiritual Flow Domain: You obtain a spiritual realm that endlessly produces the chosen flow in proportion to Faith. It can never be damaged.
With this trait, he produced infinite flows of defense and order.
It was a fairly meaningful response. However, while Perpetual Spiritual Flow Domain was literally an infinite power source that never ran dry no matter how much was used, the upper limit of the power it could actually exert at once was extremely low. It could not be drawn upon for a single burst of great power when needed.
Of course he had fixed a sufficient amount of the flow into magical power, but there were still limits. Sesaisa's skill in handling spiritual realms was clearly superior to HuuHuu's.
Sesaisa was the greatest living expert in mysticism and the spiritual flow realm, while HuuHuu was merely a gamer whose species happened to be living spirits.
No matter how you looked at it, expecting a mere gamer with only general-education-level knowledge to compete against someone who had reached the pinnacle of academic mastery was simply too harsh.
The moment the flow that dragged everything beyond the dimensional gate into the underworld neutralized the soldiers temporarily, and the mythic-grade creation that had crossed over completely rewrote the spiritual realm so that none of the living spirits could maintain their physical bodies, the battle was over.
At this point, HuuHuu would either have to cross into the enemy world or find some way to deal with the mythic-grade creation that had entered his own. But how could he possibly handle this situation?
HuuHuu's vision went dark.
Sesaisa, smiling with triumphant satisfaction, used the points he possessed along with his own world to obtain that very Perpetual Spiritual Flow Domain.
"Hmm? My meat..."
Only then did Sesaisa realize that by using his entire world to twist the enemy's, more than half of his own world's living creatures had been swept up in the underworld's flow and perished.
He had successfully occupied the enemy world and gained enough mystery points to purchase the trait without issue, but...
"Biin. Please, end this fight quickly. Please... I'm truly desperate...!"
He had no idea how to clean up this mess. Sesaisa's world was rotting away, filling every direction with maggots and decaying flesh.
He had won, yet all he had gained from the experience was a painful realization of his own insufficient understanding of the material realm. Using the knowledge he had obtained, Sesaisa began correcting his world as much as possible while waiting for the next battle.
