I Properly Re-educated That Piece-of-Shit Rapist Bastard Who Even Stalked the Landlord's Daughter Destined to Be My Onahole [Rapist Re-education][1]
What the hell is this supposed to mean? Kill a murderer? And that murderer is Kim Man-bok?????
The shocking information had just been delivered right in front of Geum Tae-yang’s eyes—a special quest to eliminate a high school classmate he’d run into amid the apocalypse, on the grounds that the guy was a murderer.
The status window’s roller-coaster developments left Geum Tae-yang’s head spinning.
“What’s wrong? Something up, Tae-yang?”
That expression of his was visible even to Kim Man-bok, who stood roughly thirty meters away.
“Nah, nah, it’s nothing.”
Tae-yang brushed it off for the moment.
It’s fucking out of nowhere, sure, but the status window that already handed me awakening powers has zero reason to lie. Even if it isn’t lying, the odds of it glitching are basically zero, right?
Tae-yang kept his face carefully neutral while he stared at Kim Man-bok. Inside his head, though, he was scrambling to get a handle on the situation.
If this had been the very first thing the status window pulled the second he got it, he would have been far more suspicious. But he had already experienced more than a few of its miracles. So even while his brain was buffering, he made a conscious effort to trust it.
“Huh?”
Then Tae-yang sensed something off in the way Kim Man-bok was looking back at him.
What the hell? That bastard Man-bok’s whole vibe just shifted.
The change had come right after Tae-yang’s own expression flickered. Man-bok’s face and posture looked the same on the surface, but the atmosphere around him had turned.
Yeah… that’s the Superior Senses trait picking up the shift. There’s a faint killing intent mixed in.
The trait that covered even the sixth-sense range had just read the subtle murderous aura coming off Kim Man-bok from thirty-plus meters away.
But if I put myself in his shoes, I’d probably do the same. We’re high school classmates in name only—we were never close. If I had Man-bok’s build and he had mine, I’d go on full alert the second I saw him.
After analyzing the killing intent, Tae-yang decided it still wasn’t enough to brand the guy a murderer the way the status window claimed.
Hold up… doesn’t Man-bok not even live around here?
Once he started looking at the guy with suspicion, a half-forgotten scrap of information suddenly floated up. Something he’d overheard in passing years ago—about where Kim Man-bok actually lived.
Right. Back in high school I ran into him around this neighborhood a couple times. When I casually mentioned it to the others, they said he lived on the opposite side of Pyeonghwa-dong.
From the start, Kim Man-bok had lived far from Pyeonghwa-dong.
“Hey, Kim Man-bok. You don’t live around here, do you? I remember you living way the hell out somewhere else.”
Tae-yang decided to probe, casually dropping the residence question.
“Ah… I-I came over to a friend’s place around here, then the zombie outbreak hit and I got stuck… That’s why…”
Man-bok’s stuttering got worse as he answered.
Back in school he’d been a hardcore outcast. The thick, greasy creepiness and pure crazy energy rolling off him had kept people from bullying him outright; instead everyone just quietly kept their distance until he became an outsider by default.
That story only makes sense in the very first days of the outbreak. Pyeonghwa-dong got locked down as a closed quarantine zone starting day four. If what he’s saying is true, he should’ve bailed and gone back to his own place long before that.
And if he tried and failed, his face and vibe right now don’t look anything like a guy who’s been trapped. His clothes are too clean, too.
Put it all together and the only real possibilities are that he came here intending to dig in permanently, or he’s been freely coming and going along some safe route this whole time.
Man-bok’s answer had at least confirmed he wasn’t a Pyeonghwa-dong resident. Working from that, Tae-yang found the guy’s excuse thinner by the second. According to Man-bok’s own story he was isolated—yet nothing about his expression or atmosphere said “trapped.” Even the state of his clothes didn’t match.
And that bastard keeps holding his right hand behind his back.
As the standoff dragged on, another detail jumped out. While they talked, Man-bok’s left hand kept moving. His right hand, though, had stayed planted behind his back from the exact moment the two of them recognized each other.
“Hey, Man-bok! That right hand of yours looks real unnatural. You holding a weapon back there?”
In this situation there was only one thing that pose meant: a weapon. Tae-yang asked straight out, and the force rolling off him while he did it was no joke.
“Haha…! Y-yeah, Tae-yang… i-it’s a weapon…”
Feeling that pressure full-force, Man-bok still kept his right hand hidden while he admitted, looking thoroughly rattled, that he was armed.
“Z-zombies are roaming around outside. Gotta carry something if I want to stay safe…”
Twitch…! Twitch…!
The panic was obvious, but he still tried to keep his voice steady and even forced a relaxed little smile. The words kept stumbling worse, though, and the corners of his mouth jerked like they were having a seizure.
“Yeah, it’s the apocalypse, so of course. But I didn’t ask because I didn’t know that. Look—I’m showing you my weapon right out in the open. So show me yours too. That’s how we start trusting each other, right? You say you’re happy to see me after all this time, but you keep hiding the weapon. What’s the play here?”
That twitchy act only made Tae-yang more suspicious. He demanded the weapon be shown.
“Fine, I’ll show you… It’s right here—an a-axe, Tae-yang…”
Ssshk…!
Hesitating, Man-bok finally caved under the pressure and revealed it. He brought the right hand forward. The weapon was an axe.
An axe, huh?
Not some little emergency glass-breaker—this one had a heavy, meaty head. The second Tae-yang saw it, his eyes went wide.
That bastard killed that woman earlier!
On the way to Ondol Mart he had witnessed a murder. The moment the axe came into view, the image that flashed through his mind was the deep axe wound that had split that woman’s skull.
That sealed it. The information the status window had given him about Kim Man-bok was solid fact.
If the status window needs a strong connection to trigger, then me seeing that woman’s corpse and then running into Man-bok right after is exactly why the special quest fired.
Once the conviction settled, he even pieced together the background that had made the special quest activate.
“H-hey, Tae-yang!”
Even though Tae-yang was managing his expression as hard as he could, Man-bok must have felt the ugly shift in the air, because he tried to change the subject.
“Yeah? Talk, Man-bok.”
It was basically a combat state already. That was enough to trigger the Combat Mental Master trait, and Tae-yang answered with a perfect poker face again.
“I heard A-young came down with you this time too?”
Still flustered and fishing for a new topic, Man-bok made a massive mistake.
Look at this fucker.
Tae-yang zeroed in on it immediately. They were classmates and nothing more—nowhere near close enough for that kind of casual question.
“Yeah, I came with A-young. How the hell do you know that, Man-bok?”
He kept the flawless expression control and asked it like it was no big deal.
“Ah… a friend of mine said he saw you and A-young moving from the station…”
“You know him, right? Chang-je…”
Hooked by the perfect acting, Man-bok relaxed a little and kept spinning the story.
“Ahh, Chang-je, huh! Yeah, I know Chang-je—Joo Chang-je.”
The second the name dropped, Tae-yang’s face turned a shade more serious. The picture was starting to come together.
“D-did I say something wrong, Tae-yang…?”
Man-bok felt it too and flinched.
“That bastard Chang-je runs with Do Min-chul’s crew. What kind of connection do you have with a guy like that? How the hell did you two even become friends?”
Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud.
Do Min-chul was a well-known delinquent boss in Hanseong Metropolitan City, and Joo Chang-je was his childhood buddy. Catching a thick, nasty scent, Tae-yang put on a murderous face and started walking straight toward Kim Man-bok.
“Th-that’s, well… I mean, Tae-yang…!”
Step back. Step back. Step back.
The whole vibe had gone completely wrong. Man-bok’s face filled with pure terror as he retreated.
“Let’s have a little talk, Man-bok…”
—Fwoooooosh!!!!
Man-bok had already been angling for an escape route. Tae-yang, who had read that intention from the start, broke first.
“Iiiiiik!!!!”
—Dadadadadadadada!!!!
Tae-yang charged like a beast with killing intent blazing in his eyes. Man-bok spun around in pure shock and bolted for his life.
Not an Awakened, looks like…
Even while sprinting, Tae-yang was gathering data. Man-bok’s desperate flight was completely unguarded. If the guy had been Awakened, he would have shown some kind of calculated move relying on his power.
“Hey, Kim Man-bok…!”
—Swaaaaaaak!!!
Tae-yang’s base physical stats were already monstrous, and he was Awakened on top of that. Man-bok’s were just average male. The gap was so extreme the distance closed in an instant.
“I said I wanted to talk!”
—Thuuuud!!!
Catching up right behind him, Tae-yang hooked Man-bok’s right ankle with a vicious sweep.
“Uwaaaaaaagh!!!”
—Kwadangtangtang!!!! Roll! Roll!
Man-bok pitched forward hard and tumbled twice across the mart floor.
—Cheok!!!
Tae-yang closed in again and loaded a right-leg stomp.
—Kkwajijijijik!!!
His target was the right hand still gripping the axe. He stomped down hard on the wrist.
“Kkeuaaaaaagh!!!!”
A raw, agonized scream ripped out of Man-bok’s mouth.
—Ppeoeoeoeoeok!!!
The pain forced Man-bok’s right palm open. Tae-yang kicked the axe away with his left foot.
—Pinggeureureureureu!!!!
The axe spun wildly and skidded far across the floor.
“Euaeuuuuuuugh!!!!”
Scramble! Scramble!
After the soccer-style kick, Tae-yang’s right leg lifted off Man-bok’s hand. Man-bok immediately tried to push himself up to grab the axe again.
“Nice try, asshole.”
—Beonjjeok!!!
Watching him, Tae-yang raised the tempered steel pipe.
—Ppeoeoeoeoeoeoeok!!!
He smashed it into Man-bok’s right calf.
“Kkeuaaaaaaaaagh!!!”
—Ppugagagagak!!!
A piercing scream that shook the entire second floor of Pyeonghwa Mart tore out of him. The right calf had snapped.
“From where I’m standing, the situation looks like this, Man-bok…”
Kkuuuuuk…!
After breaking the calf, Tae-yang dropped his right knee onto the upper back and nape of Man-bok’s neck, pinning him hard.
“You’ve been stalking A-young this whole time, you piece of shit. That’s why you’ve got such a strong self-hypnosis going that you actually think you’re dating her. That’s the only reason you could casually ask me if I came with Park A-young like it was nothing.”
Then Tae-yang laid bare the fucked-up state of Man-bok’s mind.
From the expression on Man-bok’s face when he asked about A-young’s recent movements, Tae-yang had felt the guy was trapped in his own delusion. He read the cause as the long-term aftereffects of stalking Park A-young. All those times he’d run into Man-bok in Pyeonghwa-dong more often than made sense suddenly clicked into place as stalking.
Kim Man-bok was Park A-young’s stalker.
