This Is Your School Uniform!
Rollerrrr— the wheels of my suitcase clattered noisily down the long hallway of the corridor-style apartment. The echoing sound was just annoying enough to grate on my nerves. Good thing it was daytime; if it had been night...
Every step already sent a tingly ache through my lower belly, so if I'd had to worry about the wheel noise too, I probably would've dropped dead right there. Lost in such trivial thoughts, I stopped in front of the familiar front door. The door lock code was 1013—my birthday.
“Ughhh... home sweet home. Feels so good!”
Dragging the suitcase in this weather had been a total nightmare. Especially my chest, crammed inside my bra. I just wanted to rip off the sweaty thing and flop onto the living room couch. But the Mary Janes with their straps wouldn't let me off that easy. With my F-cup boobs squished down, I squatted awkwardly, grunting as I kicked off the shoes. Luckily, my hips kept my center of gravity from tipping over.
I dumped the suitcase haphazardly in the entryway and hurled myself onto the brown leather sofa. The cool leather against my cheek made the sweat soaking my bra band feel like it was evaporating away.
Wait a sec, though. Come to think of it, no one should be home at this hour. So why was the place so damn chilly?
“You’re back, oppa?”
“Eek!”
I let out a girly shriek at the sudden flat voice from behind me.
“What’s with the freakout?”
I bolted upright and spun around. There stood a girl in a familiar school uniform, green ice cream stick in her mouth, staring at me with a sullen gaze.
~ That girl, munching ice cream in her school uniform—she was the youngest of our three siblings... now all sisters—
“Y-Yewon-ah?”
Song Yewon, my little sister. I glanced at the round wall clock above the TV. It was 2 p.m. No way should a high school sophomore in the thick of pre-exam hell like Song Yewon be home right now. That’s why I’d flung myself onto the couch without a second thought.
And yet, here was this girl in front of me, chomping away at her green ice cream. Who the hell was she? That sullen glare, the deadpan voice. The utterly emotionless face! She looked exactly like my little sister, no doubt about it.
“You’re late. Later than I thought.”
“Oh, uh, yeah. I had lunch before heading out.”
I couldn’t exactly tell my little sister I’d spent the night crashing at some guy’s place, fucking like rabbits. So I made up some vague excuse.
“Anyway, Yewon-ah, what are you doing home at this hour?”
Yewon took a big bite of her melon ice cream and replied curtly.
“Exam period. Until today.”
Ahh... yeah, it was that time of year.
“Alright, you’re here—let’s go!”
“Huh?”
“Let’s go. I’ve been waiting for you to get back.”
“You were waiting for me?”
You didn’t say a word about it in KakaoTalk, girl.
“What, don’t wanna?”
“No, it’s not that I hate it... but where are we going?”
“You’ll see when we get there. Oh, but change first!”
Yewon finished her ice cream, tossed the wooden stick in the trash, and grabbed my wrist.
“Come here first.”
“W-Wait a sec. Song Yewon, hold on!”
Oppa... no, guess it’s unnie now? Anyway, despite being the older one, I was getting dragged along pathetically by my little sister’s grip.
Man, since when was Yewon this strong?
Our 32-pyeong apartment had three rooms. The biggest one at the far end was Mom and Dad’s master bedroom. Across from it was my small room. The medium-sized one by the entryway used to be shared by Song Yunseo and Song Yewon.
Of those three, Yewon hauled me into her room.
We lived together, sure, but barging into your little sister’s room wasn’t cool. It felt strangely unfamiliar after so long.
“Don’t just stand there—sit or something.”
“N-No, I’m good.”
Yewon let out a small sigh at her awkward oppa and started rummaging through the closet.
“What’s your size these days, oppa?”
“Me? S if my boobs fit, M otherwise.”
“Whoa, S with those?”
The same old line I’d heard a million times buzzed past my ears. Whatever. It didn’t faze me anymore.
After staring at me—at my chest—for a moment, Yewon pulled something from the closet and held it out.
“Change into this.”
Straight-faced as ever, my little sister Song Yewon shoved this at her oppa.
“H-Hey! Song Yewon! How the hell am I supposed to wear this?”
“Why not? What’s wrong with it?”
“No, this is... this!”
This is your school uniform!
~ Last time Song Yunseo visited Seoul, she’d mentioned it. Back when I was a guy, I wasn’t close with my sisters. Yunseo-unnie and I? Total disaster. Yewon and I weren’t at each other’s throats like that, but we had this big wall between us.
I remember Yewon following me around more when we were kids. But puberty hit, gender differences kicked in, and Yunseo-unnie doting on her just pushed us further apart. We ended up distant and formal.
Even after I turned into a girl, things with Yewon stayed the same. Unlike Yunseo-unnie, whose attitude did a complete 180.
Yewon wasn’t the type to show her feelings first anyway. And we’d never been as emotionally tangled as with Yunseo. So we ended up in this weird limbo.
Truth be told, my little sister Yewon intimidated me. And she didn’t seem to care much about her original oppa—or the one who’d turned into a girl.
Which is why, even in a situation like this...
“Nothing wrong with wearing it.”
“N-No! Even so...”
...I couldn’t even get properly mad and was just getting steamrolled by Yewon.
Calm down. Deep breaths! Get it together, Song Yujeong!
“Yewon-ah. This is a girls’ uniform, right?”
“Yep.”
“And it’s yours.”
She just nodded blankly, no words.
“So how’s your oppa supposed to wear it?”
“Nothing wrong with wearing it.”
We were going in circles. This girl wouldn’t listen!
Yewon picked up her uniform from the bed and held it up to me, hanger and all.
“I know it’s a girls’ uniform, but you’re a girl now too, oppa. I even altered the chest for your size, so it should fit.”
Well, yeah, technically...
“Doesn’t it feel weird to you, Yewon?”
“What?”
“Your oppa wearing your uniform?”
“What’s weird? I told you, you’re a girl now. Plus, with your figure, you’ll look killer in it.”
Not that! I mean your oppa wearing your uniform! Your oppa! Your uniform!
“Besides, you’re only a first-year uni kid—one year older. Not that big a deal.”
“Still, though...”
“Just try it. If it doesn’t suit you, we’ll pick something else.”
Haa... guess I had no choice.
I sighed softly and took the hanger from her hand. White blouse, skirt, blazer. I’d seen the uniform before since it was the same school, but up close like this, it felt oddly foreign. Girls’ uniform, after all—especially that skirt.
Was our school skirt this short?
“Fine, I’ll go change.”
“Where?”
“My room.”
Yewon replied flatly, no expression.
“FYI, your room’s here now.”
“Huh?”
“Your old room’s a storage closet now. It’s packed with junk—no space to change. I moved all your stuff here.”
Glancing around, I spotted familiar things. Yunseo-unnie’s old desk had my curved monitor, brown mechanical keyboard, and gaming mouse. Her old bed had the body pillow and extra pillow I’d been using since my boobs ballooned.
“W-Who moved this stuff?”
“Me and Dad.”
“Song Yewon... did you turn on the computer?”
“Yeah. Oppa, even if you’re solo now, at least keep your porn—”
“Okay, okay! I’ll change!”
Maybe out of consideration for her oppa, Yewon turned away first and rummaged in the closet. Seizing the chance, I whipped off my shirt and slid my arms into the blouse. Wanted to swap bras too, but no way was I stripping topless in front of her.
“How’s it fit?” Yewon asked, back still turned.
“Overall okay, but the chest’s kinda tight.”
“Kinda”? The buttons were a nightmare.
“I stretched it out as much as I could, but damn, your boobs really are huge.”
My little sister commenting on my tit size... I sighed again, slipped my feet into the skirt, and zipped it up over my hips. The sound made Yewon turn around.
“Looks good on you.”
Not the compliment I wanted. She stepped closer, handed me the zipper tie, then smoothed out the blouse tucked into my waist.
“When you tuck into a skirt, arrange it like this for a clean shape. Different from pants.”
Wow, info I didn’t need...
“No makeup, right, oppa?”
“Just a bit on my lips.”
“Yunseo-unnie was right.”
“What’d she say?”
“That bitch said your skin’s flawless even without makeup.”
What the—Song Yunseo, trash-talking me behind my back?
“Eh, good enough to go like this. We’ll fix your hair on the way.”
“Hang on, where are we even going, Yewon-ah?”
I stared at her pleadingly, but as always, her face was blank as she grabbed my wrist and pulled.
“Photo studio. Time to get your picture taken.”
