The world had always been ordinary. The kind of everyday life that felt comfortably predictable, the sort you could enjoy without a second thought. Until one day, something happened that flipped that world completely upside down.
All across the globe, creatures straight out of movies and books began to appear. The so-called yokai.
The world fell into chaos at first. But peace returned faster than anyone expected. Fortunately, the yokai who had materialized everywhere weren't hostile toward humans. In fact, many of them seemed eager to get close to us. Most countries chose coexistence, and South Korea was no different. The yokai adapted quickly and soon became full members of our society.
But not all of them could manage it.
There were those who needed to absorb essence to survive.
Certain types of yokai required human essence to live. The laws of the human world were far too harsh for them. Unable to gather what they needed, some died. Others turned to crime just to stay alive.
To solve this problem, humans chose dialogue.
Through countless conversations between humans and yokai, we began to understand them better. And from that understanding was born the Yokai Brothel.
These were legal establishments that anyone of legal age, human or yokai, could patronize. But only yokai were permitted to work there.
Time passed. The world evolved. Western yokai and Eastern yokai alike now lived intertwined with humans. The Yokai Brothel had become so thoroughly integrated into daily life that no one batted an eye at its existence anymore. Of course, not every yokai working today did so purely to absorb essence. Still, these places offered creatures capable of satisfying both men and women in ways no one had imagined before.
So… what kind of yokai will it be for you today?
