Two People's Lunchtime
"Phew, it's finally over!"
Shasha stretched her arms with a big yawn. "How'd the exam go, Bianca?"
Bianca nodded at the bubbly question. "Eh, probably okay? The last problem tripped me up a bit..."
"And the rest?"
"Felt pretty straightforward."
Was that a little smug just now? Bianca let out a sheepish hehe, and Shasha puffed out her cheeks.
"You're too much, seriously."
"Why, what'd I do...?"
"Can't you pick one—either be smart or pretty! What am I supposed to do, someone like me?"
"You're cute too, Shasha."
"But no boyfriend, huh."
Oof, oof... Shasha sometimes laid it on way too thick like this. It used to throw Bianca off, but now she was used to it.
Anyway, lunch break. Bianca stood up from her seat.
"Enjoy your lunch, Shasha!"
Carlyle was waiting right outside the classroom door, after all.
Lately, the two of them had been blatantly inseparable.
"Sure thing, Bianca." Shasha's tone was playfully sulky. "Gotta ditch your close friends for hubby dearest, right?"
"N-no, that's not..." Bianca stammered, cheeks flushing.
Back in the day, she'd have panicked and denied it outright. But now, the embarrassment outweighed any urge to deny. It felt cringey, but not in a bad way—which made it even more awkward.
Hubby? As if... No way she'd ever use a cutesy title like that. But someday down the line, her relationship with Carlyle might actually fit that word.
Just thinking about it set her face ablaze.
Anyway, Bianca trotted over to Carlyle with a dodo-do patter. She clasped the hand he offered like it was precious treasure.
"Shall we go, Bianca?"
"Yeah, let's."
She grinned hehe, and he smiled back. Without thinking, she hooked her arm through his. He chuckled softly, ruffling her hair, and it made her feel even better.
This is nice, really nice.
Lost in that thought, Bianca suddenly noticed how quiet it had gotten around them. She glanced around on instinct.
Just leave already, please!
Disappear quick...!
Eyes from guys and girls alike seemed to scream that. Sure, it was cute to watch, but not right in front of them. Even Shasha, catching her gaze, just shook her head with an exasperated wag.
Ah... my bad.
Bianca's face turned beet red. She cleared her throat awkwardly and unhooked her arm.
"L-let's go...!"
She grabbed Carlyle's hand and bolted out of the classroom. But she had no intention of letting go of that hand.
Just like always, the two headed to the rooftop of the annex building. Now alone, they didn't have to watch their backs.
Bianca slipped right into Carlyle's arms. They'd been glued together since climbing the rooftop stairs—no gap between them.
In princess carry, cradled against him, she looped her arms around his neck and buried her face in his nape.
Mature scent... Carlyle had this subtle, natural fragrance. Clean and manly, like a cool, grown-up aroma from an adult guy.
Bianca loved it. She inhaled it deeply through her nose, secretly indulging.
I might be a little pervy... It felt kinda weird about herself, but what could she do? She liked Carlyle Schultz. So his scent was great too.
Once she realized her feelings, she couldn't hold back.
His slightly tousled short black hair. His tall, solid, masculine build brimming with appeal. Looking up from below, his sharp jawline, handsome nose. Those two golden eyes gazing down at her, filled with unmistakable affection.
She loved it all. He was just too perfect.
So even after reaching the rooftop, she stayed nestled in his arms like a baby bird in its nest.
Like right now. With Carlyle hugging her tight from behind, she felt utterly at ease. Her heart settled, and a soft laugh bubbled up.
"Hug me more."
Lately, she'd even ask for it outright. Her whiny tone made him chuckle.
Feeling his body heat envelop her, Bianca grinned hehe too. It felt so good, she never wanted to stop.
Her fingers fidgeted idly, then she suddenly remembered earlier. Everyone in the class watching them. Had she lost her mind? Acting like an idiot with only Carlyle in her sights.
Thinking back, it was embarrassing as hell.
What was I even doing...? Giggling dopily, linking arms, even going on tiptoes like begging for head pats. And Carlyle had played right along.
Ughhh...! It hit different now.
Suddenly self-conscious, she pouted a bit. "Hey, Carlyle. Can't you, like, stop me sometimes?"
"Stop you from what...?" He looked puzzled.
Her face burned as she mumbled her honest feelings. "I can't control myself. It's a problem... 'cause I like you way too much..."
That sincere confession left Carlyle unable to tease like usual. No joking around.
...What is this?
Lately, Bianca Shama kept catching him off guard like this. Since admitting her feelings, she'd changed in the most absurdly adorable ways. Not cutesy on purpose, not tsundere either. But her unconscious little actions and words were irresistibly cute.
So of course Carlyle couldn't hold back.
His arms tightened around her naturally. His other hand turned her face toward him.
"Ah, mmph...!?"
Then he stole her cherry lips.
She was too lovable to resist.
"...That's cheating."
Even as he said it, she looked clueless. "Wh-what is...!?"
If she didn't know, he'd make her understand.
Soon, Bianca Shama was gasping for breath, completely trapped in his arms as Carlyle kissed her deeply. Breaths mingled intimately, bodies pressed tight. Heat surged through them from head to toe.
Carlyle Schultz knew she felt it too.
If this weren't the academy... They might've gone all the way, but reality was a letdown.
Regrettably, this was an open rooftop. He didn't want to do it with Bianca where anyone could see.
He'd always treasured her, of course. But now, that feeling was beyond words.
Especially not outdoors where others might spot them.
"Haa..."
"Ha—"
A silvery thread stretched between them. Their slick lips parted reluctantly, and Carlyle stroked her delicate nape to hold back. He needed time to cool down.
So they pressed noses together, gazing at each other.
But... it wasn't calming.
Carlyle finally stood up. "What the—suddenly...?"
Bianca blinked back to reality, then froze solid.
Wh-what...!
It was huge. Insanely so. That insistent presence. Didn't that hurt? It might burst right through his pants.
Carlyle's expression showed he was just as troubled.
"Ah, damn..." He rubbed his forehead with a sigh.
But seeing Bianca Shama's wide-eyed stare, he burst out laughing. "Pretend you didn't see?"
He was human too. A little embarrassing.
Bianca nodded dazedly. "Y-yeah...!"
But still.
I'm not the only one...
Realizing that lifted her spirits. Carlyle getting excited because of her. Yeah, that made her happy.
Truth is, I'm the same...
Her face was tomato-red. Down there was soaked through.
Might need to change when I get home...
Actually, lately, just thinking of Carlyle at night got her all worked up. She'd even touched herself, unable to hold back.
What's wrong with me... She'd worried she was too pervy, but Carlyle got turned on by her too!
So Bianca felt a bit better, in her own way.
"Um, uh..."
Awkward air hung between them.
Why? They'd done naughty stuff plenty before.
But this felt different. Way more embarrassing, and some vague, weird sensation she couldn't explain.
Now that she knew how precious he was, her feelings had grown so much bigger. Was that making everything feel off?
It wasn't like they were holding back or anything.
Still, she didn't hate seeing him like this. Quite the opposite—it thrilled her.
"H-hey! I think it's fine... It's just natural, right?"
Bianca spoke up, and Carlyle Schultz chuckled. Soon they were cuddling again, all cozy.
The autumn breeze was cool, helping them calm down.
"I don't really wanna stop you."
His response to her earlier plea.
"Why stop my cute girlfriend's antics...? Not sure I get it."
"G-girlfriend..." The title still didn't click; Bianca stuttered.
"Not girlfriend...?" His low voice prodded.
She couldn't deny it. Didn't want to.
"N-no! I like it, I..."
She hesitated, then opened her mouth again. "Just... you're my... my boyfriend too..."
"Even if you told me not to."
His firm reply lit up her face. "Y-yeah..."
She was beaming, obvious as day.
From Carlyle Schultz's view, it was an utterly obvious fact. But he got her need for reassurance. He felt the same, always.
They kept hugging, chatting idly.
"How'd the exam go?"
He chuckled at her question. "Eh, same as usual."
"So you aced it, obviously."
Her rival had probably done great. But Bianca didn't mind.
Back then, I'd definitely... Been jealous, maybe. Right after the test, she'd cared if he'd done well.
She still noticed, of course. Still wanted to win.
But it wasn't like before. Whether she took first or he did, Bianca was happy either way.
"You're so diligent, always working hard... You deserve to do well."
Pure sincerity. A smart guy who put in the effort? He earned his rewards.
Juggling a part-time job and studies—that guy deserved success.
Now Carlyle was that to her. Beyond rival, someone she wanted to cheer for. Seeing him thrive made her happy too.
"So keep killing it, okay? I'll cheer you on."
Tsundere tone, but brimming with affection.
Happy in her arms, he smirked and nodded slowly.
"Wanna eat while we plan?"
"Ah, the plan...!"
Her heart skipped. Today was the day. Their first official date after going steady—spending time just the two of them.
D-date...
It was a date, right? She'd been looking forward to it.
Bianca pulled out the bentos she'd packed. Not one, but two!
Lately, she'd naturally started making his too. He only ate bread for lunch, and it bugged her—worried it'd hurt his health.
"People gotta eat proper lunches. My mom says so."
"You made these too?"
"Duh, of course. Feel honored."
Her bold attitude drew a smirk from him. Before he took a bite, her eyes sparkled expectantly.
"H-how is it...?"
"Delicious. Really."
The young couple—their new lovers' lunch—was blissfully sweet.
And with their first date after classes, smiles never left their faces.
