The Unstoppable Bobim Bug (5)
The internship assignment review had begun. The faculty board adjusted placements by weighing each hero agency's nomination, the students' own preferences, and the maximum number of interns each office could accept. Every professor in the faculty and even the administrative staff took part; it was an important deliberation. Of course, nothing at the academy was unimportant, but most cases passed without issue. A few professors let out quiet sounds of admiration when Yoo Hee-won was assigned to an S-class hero's agency. Landing an internship at an S-class office was like plucking a star from the sky, and for the office itself to accept an intern was rarer still.
Han Min-ha was placed with Regal Might's agency. That guy An Jun-hyeok. He hadn't said a word about her right after the PVP Combat Evaluation, yet apparently she'd made an impression on him after all.
"I wonder what criteria Regal Might used for his nomination," Professor Jin Se-yeong said, tilting her head. "Why did he pick Han Min-ha and leave Hee-won out?"
The reason was simple. An Jun-hyeok despised Advisory Chairman Yoo, Hee-won's father. That was why he had refused the chairman's immoral orders and left Secreto. Both Yoo Hee-won and Han Min-ha's placements were settled. Now it was Song Do-yun's turn.
"Goshawk? She's really going to Goshawk?"
The professors murmured among themselves, glancing at one another.
"That's odd," Professor Yoo said, tapping the assignment sheet. "According to the rules, the representative hero of the agency is supposed to personally supervise the intern. If Goshawk nominated Song Do-yun, that means she's planning to teach her herself?"
"Exactly. What on earth did Goshawk see in Do-yun to make that decision?" Professor Jin voiced the same doubt.
The professors turned to me one after another.
"Professor Kyo, are you all right with this? Your student specifically requested Goshawk."
"She strongly expressed her preference. As you know, Goshawk is A-class, and her abilities are undeniable."
"Still, Goshawk is…"
"Which is why I am submitting a formal objection. Please review it fairly according to the regulations."
The assignment review was not some casual game of "let's do this" or "just let them go where they want." Every item was scored according to strict criteria, so even if I objected, the outcome would be difficult to overturn. The agency's nomination and the student's own preference carried the heaviest weight. In the end, Song Do-yun was assigned to Goshawk's agency.
Once the review ended, I returned to my office and sat thinking for a while. Goshawk. Her will was strong, and the result had already been decided by clear regulations. Besides, Goshawk might be controversial, but she was still a registered hero under the Management Bureau. Rejecting the placement on the vague personal feeling that "she might have a bad influence" would not be right. By that logic, someone could just as easily claim that "Regal Might is too rigid and principled, so sending an intern to him would be inappropriate," and I would have no rebuttal.
Still seated, I picked up the landline and dialed. After a few rings, a bright female voice answered.
"Goshawk Agency. How may I help you?"
"Hello. This is Professor Kyo Suhyeon from Graford Academy. Could I speak with the representative hero?"
"May I ask what this is regarding?"
"One of my students has been assigned there for the field internship. I wanted to at least introduce myself."
"Ah, I see. The representative hero is currently out on a request. I'll pass the message along when she returns. You said Professor Kyo Suhyeon from Graford Academy, correct?"
"That's right. Thank you."
After hanging up, the students arrived at my office a short while later. I had called them to explain the internship results and schedule. I poured each of them a cup of coffee at the round table before speaking.
"All of your placements have been approved at the agencies you requested. I've already contacted them, so there's no need to worry too much."
Song Do-yun looked at me questioningly. She must have been wondering whether she had been assigned to Goshawk.
"Song Do-yun, you're going to Goshawk."
"Thank you."
"No need to thank me. I clearly submitted an objection. This was decided solely by the review regulations."
Yoo Hee-won stared at Song Do-yun in genuine disbelief.
"Why on earth would you want to go to a place like that? Ah, I get it. You're protesting, aren't you?"
When Yoo Hee-won smiled, Song Do-yun turned to her with a blank expression.
"You're deliberately going somewhere everyone tells you not to. Isn't that your way of protesting against the professor and me?"
"For what purpose?"
"How would I know? But people who are this stubborn usually have a reason."
"There isn't one. Goshawk was simply the highest-ranked agency that nominated me."
"Bullshit. There are plenty of B-class heroes who deserve A-class or higher but can't get promoted because there are no slots. Your excuse is pathetic."
"Then why don't you name them? Which B-class heroes actually have A-class abilities? And why didn't you give me any advice before the preference forms were due?"
"All right, that's enough," I cut in before the argument could escalate. "We can't change the result now. Since it's already decided, let's focus on achieving something meaningful wherever we end up."
Fortunately, Yoo Hee-won and Song Do-yun looked away from each other, and the immediate tension eased. Han Min-ha, who had been sweating nervously, let out a sigh of relief.
I explained the field internship to them. It would last one week, and they could use the lodging and meals provided by their assigned agencies. The exact content would depend on their supervisors, but there was a general framework. They would need to keep daily internship journals, submit a final internship report signed by their supervisor, and obtain a supervisor's evaluation form. While the homeroom professors would visit the sites to observe and guide them, the students' own attitude and initiative mattered most. A good impression could even lead to a job offer right after graduation, so they should do their best.
"Remember, you're still interns. If an agency tries to send you on solo missions or dispatch you with only a sidekick, refuse. It's dangerous without a hero present."
I emphasized this while looking directly at Song Do-yun. She met my gaze with an unreadable expression, as if she understood.

After finishing physical training that day, Yoo Hee-won and Han Min-ha ate at the campus cafeteria and walked back to the dorm together. Song Do-yun had skipped dinner and gone straight back after training, probably still upset from her argument with Yoo Hee-won.
"That crazy bitch. Why did she have to worm her way in here and ruin the atmosphere?"
Yoo Hee-won spat the words out viciously, her anger still simmering.
"If she wanted to join a team that was already running smoothly, she should have just kept her head down. Don't you think?"
"Huh? Ah, uh-huh."
When Han Min-ha hesitated, Yoo Hee-won suddenly grabbed her arm and spun her around.
"Why? Why are you acting like that?"
"You need to get your head straight too, Tang."
"Me? I'm perfectly fine."
"God, you're so frustrating. Do you think defensive driving guarantees no accidents?"
"Are you talking about Do-yun?"
"Yes."
Yoo Hee-won gripped Han Min-ha's shoulders tightly.
"You know it too, right? That mentally unhinged lesbian has switched targets to you now."
"Huh? What are you talking about? Switched targets?"
"You really don't know?"
Yoo Hee-won looked at Han Min-ha in disbelief.
"I don't. Do-yun said she had a reason for wanting to join…"
"She wants to rub her pussy against yours!"
"Hiek?!"
Han Min-ha yelped and frantically looked around. Passing students had turned to stare after hearing Yoo Hee-won's words.
"Listen carefully, Tang. Song Do-yun is definitely going to approach you. She'll make up some excuse or situation, just like she did with me."
"Uh… so…?"
"And if things don't go her way, she'll probably force it."
"Force what?"
"Rub her pussy on you!"
"Aaaagh!"
Han Min-ha hurriedly clamped her hand over Yoo Hee-won's mouth.
"Please, Hee-won… stop shouting. I'm dying of embarrassment…"
"Anyway, you really need to be careful."
Yoo Hee-won pushed Han Min-ha's hand away.
"I can handle myself because she's nothing to me, but if it's you, she might actually pounce. And it's not like I can sleep in your room with you every night, right?"
"Hehe. Would you?"
"Are your ears plugged? I said I can't sleep with you, didn't I?!"
"Ah, right."
"Just be careful. I've warned you. If anything happens to you, I won't let either of you off the hook."
"Why me too…"
Han Min-ha tried to protest weakly, but one sharp look from Yoo Hee-won made her shut her mouth.

At the end of the hallway on this floor, in the area belonging to Golden Viper and the Gray Molds, Yoo Hee-won disappeared straight into her room without even saying goodnight. As usual, Han Min-ha waited until Yoo Hee-won had gone inside before heading to her own door. Suddenly, she heard quick footsteps approaching from the side. It was Song Do-yun. She had been waiting with her door slightly open and stepped out into the hallway the moment Yoo Hee-won entered her room.
"Ugh…"
But Song Do-yun couldn't reach Han Min-ha. She had run straight into the barrier Han Min-ha had instinctively created.
"Hek! Are you okay, Do-yun?!"
Song Do-yun pinched her nose to stop the blood streaming down and spoke in a nasal voice.
"I wuz juss tryin' ta say hi…"
"Huh? What?"
"Never mind. It's nothing."
Song Do-yun turned and walked back into her own room. Han Min-ha stood there for a moment, fidgeting helplessly, before finally entering her room as well. Was she really trying to rub her pussy on her, just like Hee-won said…? It was terrifying. But now that she was thinking about rubbing… since the thought had come up anyway, she might as well do some rubbing of her own. The moment Han Min-ha closed her door, she leaned against the wall and began her nightly ritual. Even after doing it all weekend, she still wasn't tired of it.
"Hing, Professor…"

After returning home, showering, and stepping into the living room, the phone rang. It was a call forwarded from the office.
"Yes, this is Professor Kyo."
[Hello, Professor.]
A playful yet slightly chilling voice came through the receiver.
"Who is this?"
[Goshawk.]
