The Incorrigible Lesbian Bug (3)
“Ah, yeah. Just a second. It feels like I’m about to fall off.”
Song Do-yun was still squirming wetly, rubbing her body all over Han Min-ha’s back, which left Han Min-ha breaking out in a nervous sweat. Academy students basically all possessed the qualities of heroes. Their physical strength and overall specs were on a completely different level from ordinary high-schoolers their age. On top of that, even though Song Do-yun had lost to Han Min-ha in the PVP Combat Evaluation, her fundamentals were still superior. Once she latched on with real determination, there was no way for Han Min-ha to pry her off.
“Student Do-yun. Get off her now. If you stay stuck to her like that, your auras will start reacting against each other.”
Only after I personally issued the order over the loudspeaker did Song Do-yun finally detach herself. Han Min-ha let out an awkward laugh and smoothed out her crumpled suit, while Yoo Hee-won stared fixedly back and forth between the two of them. Song Do-yun apologized to Han Min-ha one more time before flying back to her proper position.
After training ended, it was time for the after-action review. I pointed out how Song Do-yun had repeatedly drifted off her designated flight path today.
“Student Song Do-yun. This was only training, so nothing came of it, but if that had been real combat, all three of you would likely have died.”
It wasn’t an exaggeration. Cooperative combat could be incredibly powerful when executed well, but incidents like today handed the enemy a fatal opening for a counterattack. Making the same mistake three or four times in a row was practically the same as volunteering for suicide. Even though this had been their first training as a trio, I needed to hammer the lesson home now. Messed-up movement lines were genuinely that dangerous.
“Besides, the formation I taught you today was truly basic. It was something you could have handled with just a little attention. Yet Student Do-yun still made mistakes. Of course everyone makes mistakes, but the fact that it happened with something so elementary can only mean you weren’t properly listening to my instructions.”
When I delivered the criticism in a rather stern tone, the person in question remained silent while Han Min-ha beside her shrank her shoulders and kept sneaking anxious glances. “Tell me, Student Song Do-yun. What was the problem?”
“I’m sorry, Professor.”
“An apology doesn’t end the matter. Given the skill level I’ve observed from you, Student Song Do-yun, those were mistakes you absolutely should not have made. There must be another reason, correct?”
At my words, Song Do-yun said nothing and simply lowered her head a fraction.
“I’m sorry.”
“Hey! The professor is asking you a question! Answer properly!”
Yoo Hee-won exploded in irritation, but Song Do-yun remained completely unmoved. Watching her, I could more or less guess why she had committed those absurd consecutive errors.
It was because of Han Min-ha.
If that weren’t the case, there would be no reason she couldn’t answer my question. No, she wouldn’t have pretended to make mistakes in the first place just to keep clinging to Han Min-ha.
So you’ve switched your target from Yoo Hee-won to Han Min-ha, Student Song Do-yun. I don’t know what reason prompted you to make the transfer, but there is a serious problem with it.
It wasn’t the simple fact that a homosexual had latched onto one of my students. Cooperative combat displayed its greatest power when team members moved like machines. Personal emotions had no place there. Of course there were exceptions like Senior Seo Ji-ah and Han Tae-woo, a married couple on the same team, but even they behaved with cold rationality during battle, treating each other like strangers.
Song Do-yun, however, clearly didn’t seem capable of that, which made it a problem. She was the same girl who had ostracized and bullied Han Min-ha simply because the latter had been close to Yoo Hee-won. And today, even with her homeroom professor watching from below, she had repeatedly pretended to err so she could glue herself to Han Min-ha.
At that rate, if Han Min-ha were ever in danger during actual combat, the odds were extremely high that Song Do-yun would abandon the formation to save her. That would put everyone at risk.
And there was an even more serious issue. They had only just begun to synchronize. What if Song Do-yun’s feelings toward Han Min-ha changed? That in itself would become an enormous headache.
Therefore, I had to settle this clearly right now.
“Student Song Do-yun. If you commit similar mistakes in the next training session, I will find it difficult to continue teaching you.”
“Understood. I’m sorry, Professor. I will pull myself together properly.”
I raised a hand to stop Yoo Hee-won from pouring out another torrent of abuse. Han Min-ha was sweating buckets as if she herself were the one being scolded, fidgeting helplessly. Her large eyes trembled with anxiety.
“Good. Everyone worked hard today. Let’s give it our all again starting tomorrow.”
We left the training ground together. Song Do-yun walked ahead with a cold expression, steps precise and measured. Yoo Hee-won glared at her back with open displeasure. Han Min-ha trailed far behind, slinking along cautiously.
“Student Min-ha.”
I called out to Han Min-ha, who was walking by herself at a distance.
“Yes, Professor?”
“Come here for a moment.”
“Ah, y-yes!”
Han Min-ha hurried over with quick little steps.
“What did you do over the weekend?”
“Hiek?! Th-the weekend?!”
“Why are you so startled? It’s nothing strange. This is about Student Song Do-yun.”
“Ah, over the weekend… I just stayed in my room sleeping the whole time….”
“Is that so? You didn’t do anything with Student Song Do-yun?”
Han Min-ha’s eyes darted around as she answered.
“Doyun? Doyun stayed in her room the whole time too. Why do you ask?”
“Have you become quite close with Student Song Do-yun?”
“Umm… No…. She barely speaks, so I haven’t really talked with her properly. Plus, as you already know, Professor, things are complicated between her and Hee-won, so I can’t just say whatever I want.”
“I suppose that makes sense. Student Min-ha, I have one request for you.”
“What is it? If it’s a request from you, Professor, I’ll do anything!”
Han Min-ha’s eyes sparkled as she looked up at me.
“If Student Song Do-yun becomes difficult to handle, don’t try to endure it alone. Make sure to tell me right away.”
“Eh? That’s the request? What do you mean? Difficult to handle Doyun how?”
“I suspect something like that may happen in the future. It’s a bit hard to explain in detail, but there will definitely come a time when you get that feeling. When it does, tell me immediately without hesitation. Understood? Don’t keep it bottled up and suffer by yourself like last time.”
‘Last time’ referred to when Song Do-yun had continuously bullied Han Min-ha and even sent birds flying in through the dormitory window. Back then Han Min-ha had kept everything to herself, enduring it alone until I pressed her and she finally confessed.
Song Do-yun would surely bother Han Min-ha again. Last time it had been out of malice. This time it would be out of desire.
“Can you promise me?”
“Promise…? Ah, yes! I can promise!”
With that, Han Min-ha raised her pinky finger.
“For a promise, we have to link fingers, Professor.”
I hooked my finger around Han Min-ha’s white, soft one.
“Now let’s stamp the seal.”
After pressing our thumbs together, Han Min-ha declared we now needed to sign.
“Sign…?”
When Han Min-ha tickled the back of my hand with her index finger, I had no choice but to follow along. After the signing came the copying, she said.
“What is copying?”
“It’s rubbing our palms together.”
We spread our palms wide and rubbed them thoroughly. Then suddenly Han Min-ha grabbed both my palm and the back of my hand with both of hers and began rubbing them vigorously.
“And what is this?”
“Coating. This way it won’t get wet even if it rains, right?”
“Haha. Yes. Student Min-ha, it looks like you’ll never get scammed by a contract in your entire life.”
Han Min-ha beamed. That smile was genuinely adorable.
“Hey, Song Do-yun.”
Yoo Hee-won called out to Song Do-yun, who was walking ahead. Song Do-yun turned her head slightly without answering and glanced at her.
“Not answering?”
“What.”
“What the hell are you?”
“What do you mean?”
“What was that back there?”
Song Do-yun looked at Yoo Hee-won for a moment, then turned her head and kept walking. Yoo Hee-won quickly strode forward and roughly yanked Song Do-yun’s shoulder.
“What exactly are you curious about?”
“Why did you make those mistakes?”
“Is a person not allowed to make mistakes?”
“Ha, look at this bitch.”
Yoo Hee-won smiled as if the very idea was ridiculous.
“Why did you join my team?”
“Didn’t Han Min-ha already tell you everything?”
“Not that. The real reason.”
“There isn’t one.”
Song Do-yun shook off the hand gripping her shoulder.
“Sorry, but this isn’t the upper class. Could you stop treating me like a subordinate?”
“Hmm.”
Yoo Hee-won watched Song Do-yun walk away after shaking her off, then spoke again.
“So it’s Han Min-ha this time?”
Song Do-yun pretended not to hear. Yoo Hee-won continued speaking to her back.
“Since I was impossible, you switched to the easy target Han Min-ha? Because you figured you could devour her if you played it right?”
Song Do-yun stopped walking.
“Get a grip, you crazy pussy-rubbing bug of a bitch.”
“Pussy-rubbing bug?”
“That’s what they call bitches like you. The kind who don’t care who it is, as long as it’s a girl, they’ll start rubbing their cunt on her right away. Am I wrong?”
For an instant, dark blue aura flared in Song Do-yun’s eyes. Yoo Hee-won snorted at the sight.
“Getting angry? What are you going to do about it?”
No matter how much of an ace Song Do-yun had been in the upper class, she wasn’t at a level where she could face Yoo Hee-won head-on. So all she could do was glare at her with blazing aura in her eyes.
“I don’t care that you’re a crazy lesbian bitch. Whether you like tuna or Johnsonville sausage, what does it matter to me? But I can’t tolerate you ruining my team because of your personal sexual preferences.”
Yoo Hee-won smiled wickedly as she stared Song Do-yun straight in the face.
“If you can’t control those urges, why don’t you just buy a snail and raise it?”
