Four Years Later: Magic's Deadly Breeze and the Elves' First Council
Four years had passed for Yujin, and a lot had happened in that time. He'd learned the Meias tribe's supreme-level magic from Yupiter, and other elders and supreme mages, recognizing his immense potential, had taken him under their wings to teach him as well.
"This can't be... He's a once-in-a-millennium talent, even among the Meias tribe."
"To reach this level in just a few years..."
"A Terra... Why not just defect to the Meias tribe?"
With their full support, Yujin absorbed magic at an astonishing pace. Supreme-level magic was, as expected, incredibly difficult and complex—on a whole different plane from what he'd learned before. But Yujin had the exceptional magical knowledge I'd personally bestowed upon him. Plus, his innate massive mana reserves let him practice far longer than most.
Even the elders, hailed as the pinnacle of Meias talent and skill, were left slack-jawed by his acquisition speed. But amid all that, there were still those who resented him.
"He's Terra at the end of the day. Not one of us Meias."
Not wanting to see their tribe's sacred supreme-level spells handed over like that, Elder Organ—the mage known as the Breeze—still despised him intensely. He'd always looked down on Yujin and had even stirred up his own disciples and those of other elders to harass him. Of course, Yujin crushed them every time with overwhelming skill.
Eventually, unable to stand it, Organ stepped in himself. After a fierce battle, Yujin killed him.
"Tch, this is a hassle."
"Whew... At least it's fortunate this happened deep in a sparsely populated forest, and I'm the only one who saw it."
Yupiter said that as he looked at Yujin. Organ was a powerhouse on par with him—a grand mage whose nickname "Breeze" came from hiding razor-sharp mana blades in gentle winds to shred enemies unnoticed. Yet seeing Yujin overwhelm him with a diverse arsenal of spells from various mages had clearly shocked Yupiter.
Yujin was a monster; Yupiter knew that well. As my clone body, one I'd even controlled directly in the early days, to Yupiter, Yujin must seem like an existence on par with me, the outer god.
But beyond that, Yujin had so far appeared as a Terra youth with sponge-like genius for absorbing magic. Yupiter was just starting to get used to that image when witnessing this raw dominance firsthand reignited the awe from their first meeting. No, back then it was more fear... Now it felt like respect? Reverence for a greater mage on a higher plane.
"If word spreads that you handled it, it'll be dangerous. Everyone knew he had it out for you, so let's make it public that I killed him."
Yupiter was planning to take the fall again. The story would be that Organ, jealous of massive growth, attacked his disciple, leading to a bloody duel where Yupiter slew him. That painted Organ as the villain and buried the risky truth of a Terra killing a Meias elder.
Of course, Yupiter wouldn't escape blame either. Even for a once-in-a-generation prodigy and his disciple, killing a fellow Meias elder to protect a controversial Terra would spark controversy.
"...What a pain. Should I just wipe them out?"
Whoa, Yujin's showing his true colors. The outer-god mindset: if it's a hassle, erase it clean! My clone indeed... Wait, no. Even so, isn't that too risky? It could turn the whole Meias tribe against us.
Well, not the whole tribe, maybe. Some would defend him—Yupiter, Rowi, and a few elders who liked Yujin. But splitting the tribe could lead to civil war. Even self-defense doesn't excuse elder-slaying; it's a huge deal.
Better follow Yupiter's lead this time.
"...Tch. Fine, as you say, old man Yupiter."
At that moment, my will connected to Yujin's clone mind. He clicked his tongue irritably and said it. Hey, that attitude! The kid's getting cocky now that his head's gotten bigger. Puberty?
Anyway, that incident was settled that way. Now, time for the main event: checking the elf civilization sim. Four years here— one year on the elf planet. Let's see how far they've come. Did Rasl or Mu-wan advance agriculture into a farming society? What about the others? ...Kinda curious about those cult weirdos too. Four years without my input or help—maybe the religion craze died down. Time to check.

"Alright, then... Let's begin the regular meeting of Rumorasl Village."
Rumorasl Village, huh. So that's what they named Rasl's village. In their language, it means "Rasl of Blessings." How'd you sneak that cringey name through, Rasl?
And regular meetings already? The apparent village leaders even had proper titles. Rasl was the village chief. Next to him, Harvest Chief Selrian, overseeing farming. Warrior Chief Elma, managing guards and scouts. Construction Chief Dro, handling buildings. Production Chief Rakus for clothes, armor, weapons, etc. All four executives present.
Wow... Already dividing roles, assigning jobs, and setting up managers. Rasl's the king of stabilizing daily life.
"Let's start with reports. Harvest Chief Selrian first."
"Yes. I'll update on trial crops and current harvest yields."
Selrian said that, then drew diagrams and writing on a vast beast hide with something like black chalk made from graphite. Holy crap... They dug up graphite underground and made chalk already? And a presentation, even if primitive. Time's made their vocab richer and more precise too. Evolving way more professionally than expected.
"Current first-generation crops like rumoru and arimoru are stocked for about 200 days. Both yield decently in earow season too, so even accounting for newborns, it'll last until next dimero."
Dimero means "less hot days"—spring, basically. Fall's dierow, "less cold days." 200 days' worth, huh. Four years in, population at 1,300 with more births. Elves eat less, sure, but feeding 1,300 for 200 days means massive yields.
Inevitably so. They started with basic planting, but after formalizing the harvest role for talented elves, they plowed fields, made fertilizer from beasts or their own waste—agriculture exploded. Yields naturally skyrocketed.
And that's not all.
"We're trialing new seeds too. Fruit-focused this time; growing differently from first-gen, so still researching. Should be ready by next year."
Tree fruits like apples, vine berries like strawberries—sounds like it. If fruits work, their potato-and-lettuce diet gets way more variety.
"Good. And the thing I mentioned before?"
Rasl asked sharply. That thing... no way?
"...Warriors captured some live ones as requested, but as you know, they break fences and escape, or die quick even with food and water. Lots of issues. Still tricky."
"I see..."
Yup, animal domestication. With surplus food, aiming for meat makes sense. Four years in, no success yet. Wild animals don't just tame if you cage 'em. This'll take trial and error.
But success means stable animal fats, protein, and labor power. Hope they nail it soon. Go, Selrian! Upgrade from Crop Management to full Agro-Livestock Agency!
"Next up... Elma. You have important news. Share with everyone."
"...Yes. Understood."
Next, Warrior Chief Elma, overseeing guards and elf "warriors" on patrols. True to his name, he had a sturdy, angular build despite being an elf—rugged muscle sculpture with that classic handsome elf vibe.
Important report, huh? Wonder what. I could scan the planet, but hearing it direct is more fun. Blocking info for now.
