Hand of God
Oh, so we're finally boarding the spaceship and heading to the Meias planetary group. The Meias planetary group—a home and residence for about ten planets where the Meias tribe lives. It's the heartland of magic, so other races with mana energy in their bodies sometimes visit to learn it, or just out of curiosity about whether they could use it themselves.
Of course, most come for fun or a whim, so the Meias don't exactly welcome outsiders. They see magic as their own special gift.
Hmm... a bit worrying. I hope Yujin doesn't face discrimination as a Terra just for showing up.
Even while heading to the spaceship, old man Yupiter's teaching intermediate magic. Well, yeah—I'm still just at the entry level for intermediate spells. Even with wormholes, crossing to a whole different sector takes a ton of time, so maybe I'll master it by then.
On Earth time, it took about a week to master beginner spells and start intermediate. So intermediate might take... a month?
Hmm, but these magic training scenes are kinda boring. Learning beginner spells was exciting at first—totally new stuff for me and Yujin. But now it's just upgrades, nothing really fresh.
It's interesting enough, but we've been grinding magic lessons non-stop since the base. Now we're just on a spaceship doing the same thing. The screen feels... meh.
I'm thinking of skipping to the Meias planetary group when suddenly a piece of info pops into my head.
To reach Sector C and the Meias planetary group, they need multiple wormholes. Right in the middle, at exactly that time, a colossal monster shows up.
Without Yujin, no ships would pass by, so nothing happens. But because of Yujin, old man Yupiter's ship heads to Sector C—and bam, they cross paths.
Union official rank: second-highest, A-rank colossal monster. Size of a small planet at about 4,000 km, a living thing with insane gravitational and magnetic energy.
A true behemoth. Taking it down needs at least one Union battalion and a massive capital ship.
Despite its size, it hates tiny races like ants or ticks to us—humans squishing bugs vibe. So it attacks anything it spots indiscriminately.
Its power is so overwhelming even a top elder like Yupiter couldn't handle it alone.
Normally, they'd pass between Sectors B and C, then Union capital ships sent to hunt it would take it out. But if it hits Yupiter's ship first—with Yujin and Rowi aboard—it'd be a huge threat. They might even die.
Can't let that happen. Yujin aside, I won't let Yupiter and Rowi—who help my avatar—die. Plus, it's Yujin's fault they're there, so it feels like my mess!
Above all, I won't end Yujin's thrilling space opera early. Gotta see him school racists in Meias turf with his innate magic power! And what happened with that Rubaran elder clash? Plus, that basement experiment—dying without knowing would bum me out.
...Wait, if that's the case, don't Yujin and Yupiter survive anyway? No need for my help...?
Or is this future including my intervention? Yujin's born from my meddling, so maybe saving him at the brink is the natural outcome.
If that's included... argh, can't tell! This outer god future-vision crap is annoying!
Screw it. Too complicated—I'll do what I want.
Zzzzt— Space rips open. A dimensional gate to the SF universe, my home turf where Yujin is.
Location and time... to avoid issues, aim a bit later when the A-rank beast is further back.
Whoosh... I slip through the rift.
Union'll detect me and freak, but they're watching the beast anyway. If I wipe it, my image improves—maybe shine as a benevolent god opposite Outer Gods, like an Elder God from Cthulhu mythos?
Thinking that, I emerge in space. No holding back—I'll erase this thing instantly, so I pop right in front of it.
“...!?”
The colossal monster freezes, shocked by me bursting from the rift.
Looks like Overlord: huge body, long trunk, stretched tentacles. Squishy-looking, but tougher than most metals. Wrapped in massive gravity waves and magnetic fields—bends physical attacks, light, most wavelengths.
Needs starship neutron cannons to scratch it.
Mercury-sized to others, mouse-sized to me. I'm Saturn- or Jupiter-scale.
Now... how to smash it.
“Kreeeek...!! Just looking at you pollutes my mind... I see. You're one of those called outer gods.”
Before I strike, seeing me starts corrupting its mind—it writhes in agony. Even this giant feels my true form's mental collapse.
Just a headache, though. A-rank planet-killer lives up to it—lesser beings would've melted like chocolate brains.
It's talking through modulated radio waves around its body, since no medium in space. Manipulates EM and gravity waves freely—godlike for a space lifeform. Pure special abilities incarnate.
Hmm, I could block all EM and ignore sound if I wanted... but no need.
“Kukuku. Outer god? Hilarious! You're just big with weird energy. Perfect! I'll kill you and take that title!”
Hah, I let it endure out of curiosity, and this rat babbles nonsense. Outer god ain't something you claim, puny mortal.
Vacuum-proof, shrugs off cosmic EM storms, no breathing, near-immortal lifespan. Kinda outer god vibes at a glance.
But... it's still bound by universe laws—a mere beast.
Whoosh— I erase part of its body. No motion needed. Disintegrate the molecules of mortal flesh. Breathing-easy for me.
Splooosh—!
“Kraaaaaak!”
About a tenth of its head-like mass vanishes, gushing blue blood into space.
“Wh-what did you...?!”
The beast panics hard. Never seen an outer god before?
Yeah, that explains the bravado.
Whoosh— Now sever a few 2,000 km dangling tentacles.
“Aaaak! Uwaaak!”
It thrashes in pain, blood pouring from tentacles.
Could vaporize it instantly, but its "kill me and be outer god" pissed me off.
Hmm, dragging this might be risky. Union's mobilizing—better wrap up.
“Wh-why... why...”
Muttering something, but who cares. Erase its brain.
It can't sustain life, explodes, spraying chunks everywhere.
Good, job done. Back to the rift?
